I think this argumentation died some time ago BruceVC.
-
Maybe you don't. My goldfish is, well, golden when it comes to investments.

This would be an example of what I'm talking about. Adoption is neither part of human rights nor constitutional right that every other citizen have, but not LGBT people. Except apparently Hungary which constitutional ban might in fact be overstepping. Decision about who qualifies to adopt is and should be up to a country and it's citizens. And everyone is entitled to their opinion on the matter. And there is no dissonance between supporting human rights and not supporting adoption for lgbt as those are not connected at all.
-
Not the first time humans widely used materials that turned out to be hazardous in the long run. The problem is as always the way corporations are treated by law.
-
Depends on what do you have in mind by saying "LGBT rights". The main narrative seems to be that LGBT person doesn't have the same rights as the rest, which simply isn't true in western world. It's true in some countries in the world, but ironically, similar to feminist movements, LGBT activists don't give a damn about those. Mashing "LGBT rights" with human rights and constitutional rights in western countries is just an angle to make it seem like those special treatments they advocate are somehow tied to those rights and they are not.

Well this sounds vaguely familiar: Germany to hold Covid rule breakers in REFUGEE CAMPS under new crackdown to stop Brit mutant virus explosion (thesun.co.uk)

Why are you lying? I'm practically the only one here that consistently condemned both BLM rioting and Capitol attack. All the moralists and "constitutionalists" on their high horses that claimed BLM rioting was a good thing and all they did was excercise their right to protest did completele 180 when it was the other side. All I did was post an interesting article. I'm relly surprised this aggravated so many of the "tolerant left" here.

You have serious problems with reading. Elevator, a confined space with strangers is very likely you could get coughed at for example. And your precious mask will do ****, because the droplet can get in your eye that is not covered. So lets summarize: Christmas party with your family, where everyone is tested -> bad Elevator with strangers -> great idea No wonder Germany have such high per capita infection rates.
-
You use elevators with other people inside during pandemic? You are irresponsible.
-
Yes, it's true. But even excluding the "dumbasses" that wear masks as a chin diaper, people who wear it on their mouth and nose also do it incorrectly. As I mentioned above they will make mistakes like touching it with bare hands, wearing it to long etc. Making it a health hazard on your face more than anything. Because average people are not medical professionals and sudden introduction of masks to the general population without thorough information campaign wasn't the best idea. For example in Poland at the beginning months of this "pandemic" minister of health said on television that masks do not work and he does not know why people wear them. Of course couple of weeks later masks became mandatory. So most people wear them not for health reasons but rather to avoid the penalty for not having them.

I'm accepting your defeat.

I don't know about where you are from but it wasn't a problem to get tested in December in Poland. It was a problem early this year but now quite ok. And I don't get your point about ventilation during winter. Weather was fine. We didn't get snow and sustainable below zero till New Year, so Christmas was fine. Read again what exactly I wrote about masks. Carefully and with understanding. Well church, weddings and birthday parties are crowded and there bound to be some strangers. Quite like mass transport that I did criticize. And there is little way of coordinating for example that all attendies get a test. In Poland I doubt this could happen.

Which part of what you wrote is contradicting anything I wrote? Maybe you should ask yourself if you read this? Why do you ommit very important words from the definitions, and my statement? First of all it says: spending long periods of time with INFECTED others idoor... Second: I wrote TESTED family members.

Source at the end, I bolded all the things I stated above you claim is wrong: COVID-19 is caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which spreads between people, mainly when an infected person is in close contact with another person. The virus can spread from an infected person’s mouth or nose in small liquid particles when they cough, sneeze, speak, sing or breathe heavily. These liquid particles are different sizes, ranging from larger ‘respiratory droplets’ to smaller ‘aerosols’. Other people can catch COVID-19 when the virus gets into their mouth, nose or eyes, which is more likely to happen when people are in direct or close contact (less than 1 metre apart) with an infected person. Current evidence suggests that the main way the virus spreads is by respiratory droplets among people who are in close contact with each other. Aerosol transmission can occur in specific settings, particularly in indoor, crowded and inadequately ventilated spaces, where infected person(s) spend long periods of time with others, such as restaurants, choir practices, fitness classes, nightclubs, offices and/or places of worship. More studies are underway to better understand the conditions in which aerosol transmission is occurring outside of medical facilities where specific medical procedures, called aerosol generating procedures, are conducted. The virus can also spread after infected people sneeze, cough on, or touch surfaces, or objects, such as tables, doorknobs and handrails. Other people may become infected by touching these contaminated surfaces, then touching their eyes, noses or mouths without having cleaned their hands first. Find out more about the science about how the SARS-CoV-2 virus infects the body and how our body’s immune system reacts by watching or reading this interview with WHO’s technical lead for COVID-19, Dr Maria Van Kerkhove. Coronavirus disease (COVID-19): How is it transmitted? (who.int) So please point out where any of my above statements were wrong. The truth is you cannot, instead you preach some silly idea that Christmas party among family where no one is infected somehow magically spreads virus.

No Bruce. Droplets cannot "built" up and "float". A droplet of water is not lighter than air. They will drop. A very small droplet will fall slower, but it is falling. And we all know falling isn't flying, if you don't go watch Toy Story. Are you talking Finland or all the world? Because "patient zero" in Poland came from Germany on a bus and infected passengers.

Glad you guys asked. So now we will start the "The more you know" segment of our show. Covid-19 spread by droplets. So it mainly spread by direct contact with infected saliva, respiratory secretions or respiratory droplets. So either someone has to cough, sneeze at you, you have to exchange saliva with infected person or touch the surface with said droplets and then transfer them to your eyes, nose or mouth. So: 1. Wearing a mask does little. A glove would be more helpful, but not as helpful as a good personal hygiene. Wearing a mask poses more danger than not wearing a mask. Unless you are trained medical professional you will not handle the mask properly, as after a while a mask becomes just a one big wet habitat for all sorts of bacteria, viruses and other things bad for your health. And most people are not medical trained professionals. Unless you are walking the street and exchange saliva with random strangers (which BruceVC strike me as a person who does that, sorry) or lick doorknobs (same as above) it's very unlikely you will get infected by a random person on the street. 2. Travel. Unless you travel packed like Gypsy camp then you also will not get infected traveling. 3. Family gathering. Family members that are tested and follow basic hygiene have zero chance of getting infected during a family gathering. So unless you have inappropriate relation with your cousin or niece that is infected (again, BruceVC...) a Christmas party is no problem. So to summarize the spreading of a virus we have some main spreading points: 1. Hospitals. Not following basic guidelines, packing infected and uninfected people for example in testing tents. 2. Public transportation, again not following basic guidelines and packing people in small quarters. We will have another spreading points, I'm sure, in a couple of weeks -> vaccination centers. So yeah all the above is government responsibility. From my experience the people Bruce so gladly blame and crap all over are doing everything they possibly can and are bearing with most of the stupid, unlawful and stupid government ideas. Dumbass
-
What a bunch of crap. None of this have any bearing on spreading the virus.
-
Citizens deciding to buy dumplings is not the fault of government, but neither of those have any bearing on the covid and non covid cases so it's still governments fault.
-
Blaming citizens for governmental failures is something only a complete asshat would do.

They did it so shareholders would turn a profit. Shareholders lost 5 billion $ worth of their stock value. They might turn out a profit in the future. -

LOL. Great backpedaling technique there, skipper. They did it for shareholders to turn profit! They lost 5 billion dollars. They will survive, you know, in the long run. -
