  1. Whoopadipoo! Never saw that one! A shame actually that Blizzard cancelled Ghost. Hopefully they'll reconsider to make one now for the current consoles.
  2. Normally, Germany only outright bans games where you can purposely maltreat humans (!) with no other options to avoid it (i.e. Condemned). So it's a bit unclear why they'd ban Dead Space as well, as these creatures are clearly zombies, not humans. Decapitating and rag-doll effects (i.e. mutilating a dead body) are other things that usually need to get cut out, but everything else (like blood, gore, swearing etc.) are usually getting through. But either way, if Dead Space really gets banned, people will just order their copies from Austrian shops as usual.
  3. Does actually anyone know what happened to this ex-Troika-Source-Engine-Steam-only-turn-based-Xcom-like-Space-RPG? Know what I mean?
  4. From my arrogantly European (what else?) view, everything that weakens the US, makes me feel better to be an EUdssR citizen. Yes.
  5. why not? i'm just questioning whether we need to be continuously bombarded with breathless updates about its progress. Yes. In fact, I was even thinking about opening a new thread about every single update!
  6. Lol I guess they needed more development time huh?
  7. Pretty high, around 88% I think. And don't think the German speaking market is just about hardcore RPGs and Settler clones, nope. All I'm saying is that these reviewers, especially GameStar, do not shrink back to give even the biggest blockbusters objective scores. And I personally don't see either why Spore should receive raving high scores.
  8. Emil worked at Locking Glass right? Makes F3 automatically +50% better on the score.
  9. The two biggest German print mags gave Spore 79% and 73% respectively. Publishers may bribe US/UK media, but it ain't work so easy everywhere.
  10. If you don't have anything to say about HR, simply don't post.
  11. I never got into that kind of games myself. Surely, the tech is nice (procedural content), but really, if it hasn't some kind of a narrative, what's the point in playing it? There's nothing more pointless than playing games that don't have a definite end.
  12. Edge Online previews Heavy Rain Some tiny new details, including 2 news screens. But overall nothing new. Still worth a read though.
  13. Dragon Age toolset screenshot. Doesn't look that familiar to another prominent toolset?
  14. Playing GTA IV. Pretty cool game, nice driving feel, hilarious characters...and alot of f-bombs. Yo mo mamma lieks that!
  15. They could just buy Valve. More like Valve could simply buy EA instead.
  16. The PS3 supports both Wireless LAN and cable.
  17. That is utter rubbish. "Can't maintain their PC's properly." I run NWN2 without lag in all but the most intense battles, that has requirements almost as high as MEPC. I run games fine that have HIGHER requirements than MEPC. It's got 'nothing' to do with the requirements. It's 100% DRM, thank you. And it's not a "small number of people." You obviously didn't pay attention to the DRM issues on the Bio forum for MEPC or the GPF fault issues...which are also almost certainly DRM related. So yes, Demiurge, who did the port, passed off to a LOT of people a game that was effectively a coaster. And Bioware let it happen. Bad on them, worse on Demiurge for their obvious failure to port effectively on MANY levels, as the tech support forum shows. Fortunately, Bioware took that issue more seriously than people like you who want to play apologist and join Microsoft in crawling through people's systems did. Failure? What failure? You're acting like they've released a damaged product. In that case, they'd have to pull all boxes back from the shelves. Again, a small percentage of users might have some issues due to whatever (and often easily fixable) issues, but going out and condemn the whole industry is just silly. You just start the executable, connect to the servers shortly, and you're done. Game runs. Works splendid. Why do people have an issue with that?
  18. It's already released in other countries.
  19. There are more important things the game industry should worry about than a small number of people who obviously can't maintain their PCs properly. I know I never had any issues, neither with ME DRM, nor with SecuROM, nor with that...how was it called, Starwhatever protection. Or Steam. Heck, I even could run an Indian made DD game without problems. Lolz? But again, no doubt that some people have issues with tit and tat, but the majority doesn't. Thus, it's not really an earthshaking issue.
  20. So, OSCE Observers confirmed that Georgia attacked Southossi civilians before Russia invaded Georgia. Also, Georgia apparantly planned the attack very carefully and gave orders to attack Southossi civilians during night while they slept. I wonder why this report hasn't gone live yet in UK/US media.
  21. Yeah Yeah. Next.
  22. People are always overreacting about every little silly thing (see ME DRM for example). I've yet to play a game that didn't allow me to play what I've payed for. Now if I need an Internet connection or the disc in the drive to play it or not doesn't bother me at all.
  23. MGS4 is basically fan product - if you're fan you love it, if not...well, you might still think it is great but plot nonsensical. Or then you hate it. I'd recommend MGS1 (psone) and MGS3 (ps2), they're best ones in gameplay. I have special place in my heart for MGS2 but it isn't as great game as those two. Try MGS3 and see if you like it. If you like it get MGS1. Then MGS2. Yes, you must've played all 3 before MGS4 I guess I'll pass. Never liked that Japano stuff anyway. But I think I'm gonna pick up GTA4 on monday. And I hope I don't regret it.
  24. Btw how is MGS4? Never played one of these, but the series gets ridiculous high scores.
  25. This surely won't be a chatty MotB-PST-BG-style RPG. More like "Action" plus "RPG" a'la Deus Ex. I'm not dissapointed at all with this.
