  1. But the positives outweigh that, first reading a text, clicking it and then hearing your character spout that exact line would make the dialogue kind of stale. With ME's dialogue system, you actually do listen to what both charcters say Never played a Bioware game were I had to click a line, and then listen to it again. That's why the PC is voiceless. Geez Kafty!
  2. Playing Heavenly Sword. That's some awesome production values the game shows there, but the gameplay is so primitive that I can't play more than 10 min in one piece before I get bored. And Andy Serkis is one evil bugger.
  3. Valve says the acquisition talks are 100% rumor. Click
  4. I think visionary companies like Google or Valve don't make business decisions solely on making more money. That's more Microsofts motive. But I mean, if Steam can be extended, further developed into something bigger, reaching more people blah blah whatever, it's certainly a win for everyone involved. Valve always pursues to reach a bigger audience, I think with the help of Google they can manage that.
  5. Well, Google stated they want to enter game publising, so STEAM would be a great platform to start with. In addition, it could be further developed into something bigger, something greater... So yeah, if both parties, and most importantly, me, profit from this deal, then let it happen!
  6. Never could finish Stalker, so I'm not excited about Clear Sky at all. I'm waiting for Crysis Warhead and Heavenly Sword to arrive this week.
  7. It's only a rumor right now. Click Moah later....
  8. Not unless you're Volo. Starwars doesnt have any dragons, elves or magic items that have to be transported large distances only or assembled in order to defeat a villain Jeez, now you're arguing about unimportant details.
  9. Dan Tudge, the Producer of DA. Not the worst I've heard though. Todd kinda sounds funny. Anyone else noticed that the VA of that young foolish king is the same as the Prince of Camarilla in Bloodlines?
  10. But it has alot in common with Star Wars, which in return, is just fantasy with lightsabers! Hee Hee!
  11. I don't care about how "original" or "generic" a game looks. It's the talent and the skills of a developer that decides how enjoyable a game turns out. Bioware has yet to disappoint me in that regard. And Dragon Age has a concisely unique style to me, no matter how other people might perceive that. I like DA how it looks/feels. Oh and Kaftan, wasn't it you who enjoyed Mass Effect so much? Don't you think ME just looks like generic SciFi as well?
  12. There we go. First boasting with a big mouth, and now pulling out with a silly "cannoli" comment.
  13. What do you expect them to say? "Yo ma' fukka, get me a pizza?" THIS IS FANTASY!
  14. Doesn't look generic at all. Go home.
  15. That's right, thanks for the note.
  16. Direct Download links here: DA DevWalkthrough Part1 (157MB), DA DevWalkthrough Part2 (79MB) Haven't watched them yet, but there you go. Let the usual Bio bashing and whining commence!
  17. I doubt there will be a PC version. LA fired their whole internal staff, and unless they bother outsourcing the port, there won't be a PC version. LA policy about releasing games is "Fire and forget".
  18. Gamespot review (7.5/10) The blond Sith chick looks hawt. I'm also glad that I'll finally be able to grab those walking carpets and throw them violently away. Never could stand these Wookiees.
  19. Too bad I got stuck in Shock1, otherwise it's really good, even for modern standards.
  20. IGN review (7.3/10)
  21. First reviews are popping up as the embargo has been lifted today. Evil Avatar (3/5) "Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is not a horrible game, far from it. However as I was playing it I was always feeling like I was just going through the motions and attempting to get to that next diamond in the rough that this game has scattered throughout its 8 hour playtime. This game could have probably used a little more gestation time where they could have fixed up the graphic tearing and the sound skipping that is sometimes heard in the cut-scenes. We are left with a game that has a good story that ties in the time between Episode III and IV, but one that is brought down by camera problems, sameness of enemies and long linear levels. There are a few places where this game is jaw-dropping, but overall with no co-op or multiplayer it is hard to recommend as a purchase. The simple fact is that Star Wars: The Force Unleahsed seems like a game that didn
  22. Exactly, I suggest to stay away from it as far as possible, even if you could get it for free. However, feel free to pick up the upcoming (standalone) expansion "Forsaken God", and write down some review here, will ya?
  23. I think I'm gonna pick up Crysis Warhead next week. The first reviews are very positive (Eurogamer: 9/10, IGN: 9.4/10). I also wanted to pick up Star Wars The Force Unleashed, but the Metacritics average is 70%, lamenting that while TFU is fun, it's also brainless and repetitive, so I think it's better to save that up for the bargain bin.
  24. I bought GTA III as a blind purchase. I knew nothing about it, other than the fact that it was based on a funny little arcade game. Oh yeah, who's living in a cave? GTA was a hit since part 1. Rockstar games never had any appeal to me, and I never liked the GTA games very much, part because of the stupid settings (80's Miami? Fack off), part because it just looked dumb. GTA 4 however has a nice feel to, good driving physics, nice setting (modern-day NYC), mostly cool characters. So I was glad it didn't fail me. Blind purchase paid off.
  25. Running long distances back and forth really pisses me off. Also, jumping on moving platforms over Lava is retarded. Wasting too much time in menus and inventories is tedious. Basically, everything that is too abstract, unnecessary or feels just too game-y. What I really want from a game are.....emotions!
