Okay, I just finished Heavy Rain. What can I say? Exhilarating, marvelous, astounding! 10/10. What plot holes again?

I'm only in Chpater 17 right now, and I haven't noticed any plot holes yet. The VO is absolutely excellent. Don't believe everything the haters say. The only one of the voice actors who is good-ish is Madison, for whatever reason the developer didn't want to get professional voice actors and it shows. "Jason!" "JASON!" As for the plot holes, TVtropes has a nice big list of them, for when you finish the game. What do you expect? Ethan is just a normal family guy, not some Patrick Stewart. Madison otoh sounds more like your average chick. I best liked the VO's of Scott Shelby and Norman Jayden. Norman the smart and gentle guy, and Scott the scruffy and somewhat tired guy. They nailed their characteristics completely.

That wasn't impressive. Not that screenies matter so much, but it didn't look very good regardless. If that's their "best foot" at this moment, it looks like Generic Shooter Number 1982645463. I'm not too happy with the 50s style myself. Somehow I was hoping they'd make this X-Com Alliance thing again. You know, future setting, SWAT style squad with full control, and fighting real aliens, not just goo. But it's too early to be pessimistic.

The Kaiser would have stopped the Alien invaders singlehandedly!

I think there's still another Xcom game in development at Firaxis, for those grumpy souls of you who can't accept reality.

Where's the game in Heavy Rain? If you're looking for another twitchy action adventure, then look elsewhere. I have no trouble with HR for what it is. I really like the production values and the well done characters.

Another movie I definately liked was Danny Boyles Sunshine.

I'll probably be in the minority here but I kinda thought the remake of The Time Machine wasn't too bad.

American kids exhibited their love for their own country by wearing T-shirts with the US flag on it. I see nothing wrong there.

Started playing Heavy Rain. This is something really really good. Possibly my personal GOTY.

I read another German preview and they said the game is way too easy. Hmm...

Never played F3 in 3rd person mode, never will.

I'm kinda glad Monolith isn't working on this. It frees them up to work on other stuff. Ya know, maybe like NOLF3. As for FEAR3, I'll wait and see, but knowing Day1's trackrecord of making crappy games, I won't hold my breath.

E3 is usually the right place to announce new stuff. I'm sure we will get something there.

There are virtualy no activation limits, because when you uninstall you can get an activation back. Unless you want to install on more than 5 machines at the same time. But who does that?

I have a real uneasy feeling about the coming months/years.
