  1. Compare the journalism and review quality of a print-mag Gamestar (German) with some Destrucdoid. It's two different worlds.
  2. Just saw that GoG offers Enclave, a Hack & Slash game from Starbreeze. Recommendable?
  3. Splice runs in movie theatres now. Looks interesting. Recommendable?
  4. RPGs are not niche products. Final Fantasy, Neverwinter Nights, Kotor, Dragon Age, Mass Effect etc. prove otherwise.
  5. What is this SquareEnix project that everyone is talking about? Is it related to Obsidian?
  6. Day 1 purchase. Oh, and call me a fanboy.
  7. There's always ebay, but prices may be outrageous. But I heard of this Swedish site....
  8. That's because nowadays only console games are considered important. PC is just considered a byproduct.
  9. Huh, you should meet him in Rome a couple times. One in the cafe, one in his villa, and one in the museum (bossfight).
  10. I bought it when it came out, because of all the hype and stuff. Turned out I only liked the first 30 min, but that's it.
  11. Stalker, that overrated game I never finished. Maybe I should dig it out. Is it better when patched?
  12. Yes, Nightshape did imply it. That's why I made fun of him.
  13. Splinter Cell delivered quality writing. That' a good one.
  14. This + SisAnd Albatross is paired up with Sis. Two people of awesome for the price of one. Sis, however, didn't make any sense as a character. I mean really, some punk girl working as bodyguard from alleged professional leader? Doesn't ring. I assume there was more backstory material for her in the planning, but didn't get into the game.
  15. Oh, nice. Too bad though I already sold my Divinity 2 copy....
  16. Huh? Tron Evolution is coming to PC, too. Or did I miss something? Either way, I'll keep an eye on it. But looking at Propagandas track record (Turok), I'm not holding my breath... As for Deus Ex. It's a new and unproven studio, so I'm neutral on that. But for some reason, I always have to think of Ubisoft Montreal when I read Eidos Montreal...
  17. Thing is, Deus Ex had atrocious combat, so I don't exactly know what you mean.
  18. "Daddy, what is Britain best known for?" "Uhm, Fish & Chips, atrocious ale, killing sprees."
  19. Traditional? No. I think the Action/Stealth RPG approach embodies the methods of a spy quite well. It was the right move.
  20. I buy only the games I like, not adhere to some ethic nonsense a'la support the independents and small studios only. If that money goes straight to Bobby Kotick, so be it. If that money goes straight to Obsidian, so be it.
  21. Really? I never saw these. Any chance you could dig up a link?
  22. Well, I should rather say the AI was unpredictable. Either way, I didn't think of tranquilizer darts because I though it was okay to shoot them. Until of course Mina pointed out it's not. But then it was too late as hell broke loose.
