  1. Oh, Singularity. Is this a good game?
  2. Yeah, but they wanna start production in late 2011 already. I think this is just a PS3 SKU with so me motion controls. Maybe they're gonna announce something at Gamescom in August. Would be pretty nasty though if they manage to release PS4 in 2012. But what about the games?
  3. PlayStation 4 comes out in 2012? Unlikely, but not impossible. Sony, Toshiba and IBM developed the Cell processor and spent $400 million on that. So why not use an improved unit of the Cell and use 8-16 of those as Multi-RALU? You got a winner. Unlikely, but not impossible. It would also spoil everything that Nintendo planned with it's (already outdated) Wii U. The drama should provide some fun.
  4. Hey I just read that Otto was a good friend with Roosevelt. And he prevented that Austria wasn't bombed into a ****ing desert after WW2, like Germany. Only a little bit less. Well done, Otto.
  5. Why not make a real Baldur's Gate sequel instead? Just sayin'
  6. I think I'm too old for this...
  7. I guess that's also an American thing...?
  8. I just stopped there. I despise platformers. Also I don't wanna play a psychpathic young girl with a kitchen knife from a creator who calls himself "American McGee". I don't reward that kind of stupidity with my money. The game will probably sell pretty good in America though. They like that sort of "culture".
  9. Thanks. Looks quite time consuming though. I think I'll just get the OST for now.
  10. I don't buy second hand Nah, I mean new, from a store. I know www.gameware.at has it (last time I checked). Edit: I just checked, it's 2,99 EUR now. Hurr.
  11. The whole family is about 400 big. But of course they don't rule Central Europe anymore. They still have some influence, one way or the other. As politicians, entrepreneurs, etc.
  12. I don't know where you live, but I can get a boxed version of AP for 6,99 EUR.
  13. Crysis 2 is their most recent game. RYSE and Warface will be next. They have also something else (unannounced) in development.
  14. Nah. Even Alpha Protocol which had a horrible start (Saudi Arabian missions were the worst in the entire game) hooked me more up from the beginning than DSIII. Maybe I'll return to it one day, but I doubt it. Too many other games out there.
  15. Nobody gets "lucky" in such a harsh business. Bioware got so successful and respected because they earned it. Crytek just doesn't make gorgeous looking shooters, they make, since Crysis 2, also well designed shooters. As for DSIII, sorry, if your game doesn't become more interesting withing a few hours, chances are the designers did something wrong.
  16. But it is. No its not. Whatever you may think. At least not "safe". It's not a very interesting RPG. It's the first time in any Obsidian game where I just skipped dialogs completely, because there was nothing witty or memorable about it. Quite disappointing, coming from the same guy (George Ziets) who wrote the excellent MotB. Well?
  17. If Activision was "evil", Blizzard wouldn't be around in that form today anymore. Yet, they still operate independently. Either way, I think Feargus likes to have a smaller teams, everything dandy and candy and family like. That's understandable and okay, just don't expect to get treated better by publishers (more money, more time) while the competition strides ahead of you. I wonder when the next-gen of consoles hits the shelves, how big are teams then gonna be?
  18. But it is. I hope this doesn't become norm.
  19. I don't know, many other companies are independent yet grow and land smash hits. Bioware got pretty big and successful before they were bought, also Crytek has like 500 employees and are still independent. What are you trying to tell me? That Obsidian is a "victim" at the hand of evil publishers that are at fault that Obsidian can't make smash hits?
  20. Is it just me or does this statement display a total lack of understanding of how (game) business functions? GTA 4 required 700 people and a $100 million budget, that'S what I call ambitious. It also sold like 20 million units. What exactly is it you don't understand? What you're arguing is that Obsidian can magically find a publisher willing to give them the budget to double their workforce to, presumably, tackle a more ambitious project. That's just nuts. I thought when Obsidian released F:NV, they finally got out of "the hole", but then came Dungeon Siege 3. Nice game, but not very interesting or ambitious. Problem with Obsidian is they're very inconsistence, that doesn't exactly create trust in the customer.
