  1. Don't worry Nightshape, you'll find plenty opportunity enough in the future to give me a strike. Maybe I'm even going to lay a trap for myself to make it easier for you. But not today.
  2. And what kind of "reputable sources" would that be? Names? I don't get it. Last time (I think 2 years ago) somebody bit off the finger of a Rabbi. It turned out to be an angry Muslim. Well, **** happens. Best bomb Austria from Orbit for this crime. Maybe some of the older generations in their 80s and 90s (and mostly Viennese) have a rude spout. But that breed is dying out eventually. We're heading into the right direction, while the US is going backwards. You still haven't adressed my remarks on Antisemitishm in the US.
  3. And I get the sense Grommir hates Austrians (or Europeans) for a reason, just a hunch on it. At least I try to debunk his false claims while he keeps digging in deeper and deeper with his unfounded nonsense and bigotry.
  4. Well, among lots of other things. I just mentioned those two things (food and guns) because these seem to be the most appreciated and easy understandable things among US citizens.
  5. Austria was the first country officially acknowledging Islam in 1908 in any European country. Also, last time I checked, we don't have much trouble with Muslims in Austria. 6% of the total population, but quite well integrated apart from some Turkish gangs trying to show who's the boss here. We don't have those ugly things going on like in the UK, Sweden etc. Also what do you mean with disturbing "recent history" with Jews? Unless 1938 is recent to you? Again, Jews are a growing minority here, because they apparently like it here. Unlike in the US, which has a fastly growing Neo-Nazi movement and lot's of Antisemitism (those Jewish Bankers should all go into prison wha wha!).
  6. Now you're just silly, Grom. DNA analysis, used widely in FBIs forensic investigations, was developed by the Uni Innsbruck. It's unthinkable not to use it today. Also TSA gropers use Glock pistols, also an Austrian product. Also the Hot Dog is more or less an Austrian invention. Again, it's absence unthinkable in the US culture. But maybe some people over there still prefer ketchup soup, I dunno. Antisemitism? Didn't we just open the biggest Jewish Sports, Education and hostel center in Vienna acouple years back? I think it's even the biggest in Europe.
  7. Austria is not a backwater country.
  8. The plural of racist is racists, not racer. So it's Swedish racists.
  9. I'm not imagining the US as a "Big Bad". The US has produced some of the smartest heads and personally, the Europeans owe it America to help them out if they ever get in serious trouble, just like America saved Europe from the Nazi menace and helped propping up devastated countries, including Austria. I've a lot respect for the US' (past). But even you must see that something skewed goes on in Washington DC. And Wall Street.
  10. @Grom There is no such a thing as an immiment collapse. Even the Soviet Union's decline took a couple of years. And that's what we're seeing in the US as well. 40 million people on foodstamps is just the start. Slowly but certainly the US will decline into a 2nd world country and becoming, well, maybe not completely irrelevant, but certainly not the worlds bully anymore. You guys will just have to learn to sit down on a table again and do negotiations to get what you want. Yes, that even means listening to some "snot-nosed Euros", like it or not.
  11. Finished Killzone 3. Mediocre gameplay, good graphics, awesome cutscenes. The Hans Landa versus Joseph Stalin showdown was also quite amusing.
  12. You can keep downplaying your countries problems Grom, but it won't go away. At least the EU countries try to solve their debts by doing some painful measures, it may turn out futile, but at least there's a political will to get out of the mess, unlike in the US, where the new presidential candidates are arguing about Pizza at some dumb TV show.
  13. We can keep on "protecting our interests, western values and world views" by waging wars, or we can try just move on as a civilization. I know, hard concept to grasp, especially for the relatively young America that enjoys playing a bit ol' British Empire on it's own, but even they will have to wise up someday. Oh Grom, China is lending all this money so that Amercians keep buying their products. China also started buying up state bonds from some eastern European countries. Either way, the US is in a lots of debt, and debtor nations don't have a lot to say, it's the creditor nations that will eventually make policy.
  14. If you commit to do a job, to it properly then. But what am I worried about? Soon the US will face a super-GAU if it doesn't increase the debt ceiling again, rendering it herself useless. The Frenchies and Brits will then retract and tell the mainstream media some bull**** so that the mission (war) doesn't look like a complete failure. Gaddaffi will crawl back on his throne and makes nice hugging photos with Tony Blair, Berlusconi and other joke figures. People will wonder if the last Harry Potter movie will be the best one.
  15. No, a war usually never makes sense. It will just mean long-term that Libya will detoriate from the African country with the highest living standards into another puppet state with lots of angry people.
  16. Just like with The Crossing, it's probably set in modern times (or future) with resemblances of 18th century political system/style.
  17. Insiders assert that Windows 8 will include Xbox 360 emulator (German) Not sure if serious. Technically not impossible, but emulations often are lacklustre, to put it kindly. If MS manages to pull this off though I'll not skip Windows 8.
  18. Smith is Co-Creative Director. The other half is Raphael Colantonio, and he made Arx Fatalis and the excellent Dark Messiah. So even if you're right and Smith goes all bonkers on us again, at least he he can be slowed down by Colantonio. Personally I don't think this is a good idea, having two directors working on a vision, but what do I know. Maybe it just means Raphael is writing and Smith is level designing.
  19. Harvey Smith is a former Air Force guy that was stationed somewhere in Germany. I think he can beat up the average civilian (and game designer), provided he had some combat training. Yeah so? This happens to everybody, including retired Navy Seals.
  20. Harvey Smith is a former Air Force guy that was stationed somewhere in Germany. I think he can beat up the average civilian (and game designer), provided he had some combat training. Either way, I like the guy. He's straight in his interviews, he just says what he thinks, not what he ought to say. Plus Arkane Studios is just such a perfect fit for his taste. He didn't flourish when he worked at Midway on some silly Area 51 games, but he does flourish if you give him the right support.
  21. The guy was the lead designer of Deus Ex. And he also managed to turn a Xbox 1 game with a messy engine into something playable. He has more credibility than 90% of all other "me too" designers out there.
  22. Well, neither should the Lybians then, according to your logic.
  23. Over three months of bombardements and Gadaffi still has not relinquished, that's some dip**** military doing their job there. Could be indeed the demilitarized UK RAF (Austerity measures, of course) that can't get anything properly done.
