Manning should play for GB next year so that when Rodgers inevitably gets injured and would otherwise cost us our playoff chances, Manning can step in and continue to kick butt. :D

I was seriously amazed when the catch was overturned. I understand why it was ruled incomplete, but it feels and looks like a catch - that I'm a Packers fan doesn't change that. When McCarthy challenged it, I thought it was gonna be the waste of our last time out - it was his FIRST successful challenge all season - and it might cost us the game after we got the ball back with only a few minutes left to make a touchdown (if they successfully got a 2PC) or a field goal (if they didn't). It's hard to say whether or not that cost the Cowboys the game. It certainly cost them the lead, since it would be extremely unlikely they'd not get a touchdown there, but the Packers drove down the field after the ball was turned over and were in field goal range with two minutes left. But...there's no way to tell if that would've actually still happened if the Cowboys had scored a touchdown. A crappy end to an otherwise extremely competitive and tense second half.

Got a strange messge from a friend's steam account
Bartimaeus replied to Arcoss's topic in Computer and Console
It's crazy, to me, how many people have them disabled. I don't understand how people get along without them - desktop, at the very least, would be unusable for normal file downloading and such - would have to view everything in Windows Explorer where it actually displays it. You can enable file extensions in Windows 7 by opening any folder, clicking "Organize" in the top left, "Folder and search options", "View" tab, then unchecking "Hide extensions for known file types" in about the middle of the list. Vista is probably the same - don't know for 8. -

I can't believe how many people are falling for this...how do people just open randomly downloaded .exes? Everyone must have visible "standard" file extensions disabled. Run a malware scan. (edit) Ironically, if a keylogger WAS installed, changing your password just makes it worse - if you set Steam to automatically log in upon system startup and remember your password, you'd never type in your password anyways - ergo, it couldn't be recorded. Now that you changed it, however... If you have Steam Guard enabled, I imagine that you also logged into your email... -
Bought 2x 4TB WD Blacks at ncixus for $68 each in a super special flash sale...I don't need them at all, but the price was too good. Thinking about selling one to recoup my costs and using the other as a backup...or, actually, I'd probably use it as a main and then make my old 1TB Barracuda the backup. Right after I got them, I refreshed the page and they were already out of stock.

A hint: reload back to where you have at least SOME time on your filters left, and just keep putting on your mask after you nearly asphyxiate and then immediately take it off and rinse and repeat. It's basically infinite filters.

I'd rather have the Packers play the winner of the Cardinals/Falcons game, so even though I obviously don't like Suh, I'm a little happy he's paying a huge fine instead. Hopefully the Lions will "repay" the Packers for their transgression and beat the Cowboys and/or Seahawks for us...though I'm not really expecting either.

Um...or they could both turn out to be bad.

I don't think I could be in any more love than I already am with Aaron Rodgers after today's game. Though I nearly had a heart attack when he went down and was carted off, and continued to nearly have heart attacks each time anyone even got sort of close to him after he came back...

It's what I have. The only thing I don't like about it is the position of the left analogue stick...I do miss the 360 controller's location for it. I actually saw the wired 360 controllers going for $15 on...somewhere recently. I forget where. Probably Amazon or newegg. But...I didn't care enough to get one.

What a primitive game. Can't believe I used to play this over and over. I keep hitting the space bar to jump and forget this stupid game doesn't have a jump ability. *Sigh* I legitimately cannot tell if Solaufein is trolling... Dark Souls 1. Forgot to kill off Kalameet in my SL1 run. Fun boss, but took a little less than ten tries, so it wasn't too hard, I guess. Probably because I learned his moveset a lot from my SL99 NG++++++ run a while back.

I only know it because I watched Walk the Line.

Gromnir changed his avatar for the first time since I started coming here way back in 2008. My day has been ruined.

I haven't bought a physical PC game in about 7-8 years - ever since Steam got...uh...steam and started getting everyone to publish there.

Speakers finally arrived today. Something called Kanto YU2 - don't ask me! They were on sale much cheaper than they normally are, so I decided I'd give it a try. First time I've ever had speakers, and I'm liking them so far.

Yeah...that's one thing that bothers me in these third person "tactical"-RPG games like Neverwinter Nights and Dragon Age...the camera is an absolute nightmare to use in actual tactical combat. Constantly rotating and jumping around as you go from character to character, need to zoom in and out to be able to actually see what you're doing...makes me nauseated. And for some reason, they always make the isometric-style camera unusable in some way...(Dragon Age's was arbitrarily limited in the distance from how far you can move it from your characters, for example - and the range is shorter than enemies can shoot at you, which makes fighting back in a timely manner...difficult).

Shockingly bad performance all around by the offense, except for Lacey, (why wouldn't they give the ball more to him, given his ridiculous average yards per attempt!?). On the other hand, the thing that everyone was worrying about, our defense, actually looked pretty good - not that it should've been that big of a challenge, given the Bills' offense. Nevertheless, though. And then to top it off, both the Vikings and the 49ers lost...the Vikings were so close, too. Stupid division...

Almost all of the teams I wanted to win today lost. Stupid game. It all started with a horrible Packers game...

[off-topic] It's not *malice* I ever detect from your posts...but rather...something else. The way you constantly seem to use questions instead of statements when it's usually the latter you're making... In limited amounts, it makes you seem more reasonable - like you're not completely sure of what you're saying, and you're open to corrections and clarifications. But you do it all the time, and you're generally a pretty strong-headed individual - not that there's anything wrong with that...just that it feels at odds with the way you talk, and it's post after post that you do it. The whole "overstate my side of the argument while simplifying and redefining my opponent's" doesn't much help either, haha. That is at least some of my impression, anyways, . We're usually at odds in regards to opinions and beliefs, but it's more often the way you talk to me and others that actually gets under my skin, since you're usually pretty reasonable in most other ways, even if still strong in what you think. Sorry! [/off-topic]

One is a gross invasion into my physical privacy and property - the other into my private thoughts and communications. There's so much you might want to keep private, even if not illegal, that could be used against you. An out of context joke, sensitive photos, crazy ideas on an off day that might get you labeled as a nutter - or even insane thoughts that you know to usually keep to yourself that you mentioned to a friend in private one time, half-seriously. There's good reason I don't post all the thoughts that pop into my head for all the world to see - the situation is precisely the same in regards to what I communicate privately instead of publicly. I value my privacy greatly, but I am at the mercy of the people I socialize with - a risk that I personally risk and accept, as it's more or less directly within my control - and, unfortunately in this internet age, additionally the powers that be...and I would rather everyone remain in control of their own privacy as much as possible, not some government agency run by actors beyond my and everyone else's influence. Both transgressions can easily outstrip the other, depending on the person and circumstances. I doubt nudists, for example, would be bothered as much by having their hobby or occupation (or whatever - does it look like I know anything about nudists? ) recorded. It would, of course, depend upon the person in question...but I'm sure there are at least a few - on the other hand, they might consider their personal diary absolutely sacred. None of it is any business except to those explicitly privy. P.S. The way you framed your "question" feels rather insulting - probably because you loaded your end of the argument while downplaying mine, and made it into more of a statement than a question. Can't say I particularly care for it.

Yes. Different, but at very least potentially equal, and possibly worse.

Sphere's always pretty much the last companion quest I do, since it's probably the hardest of them...besides maybe the Shade Lord, (who's really easy in vanilla...not as easy in SCS, especially when Liches can spawn in Amaunator's temple).
