  1. I'm not convinced WE'VE had a democratic election in the last 40 years...
  2. My Struggle I was just kinda boring and bad, but it wasn't "make-me-want-to-leave-the-room" bad like Babylon felt.
  3. Completed Undertale. It was a pretty good game.
  4. That is interesting: for everyone that has him shown, he's somewhere in the 50-60% range, with a very few 70% scores.
  5. Both first tries, and I thought for sure a few of those would net me at least a few points... (e): Awful, terrible quizzes, by the bye, (e): Also, funny how the two descriptions seem at least minorly in opposition with each other... And also funny to see how different people's fascism and Hitlerism scores compare against each other with their isidewith scores, too. I'm apparently 85% Bernie myself.
  6. What do you expect? This is (more or less) the successor of the Black Isle forums. Not that I would know anything about that, given I was only three when BG1 came out...
  7. So...easy mode, but not in so many words. What, are they afraid of offending people?
  8. Yeah, that's terrible, especially if you're looking for just one bit of the video...and now you have to jump back and forth trying to find it using YouTube's awful video player (or heaven forbid, somewhere even worse)...a truly abysmal experience.
  9. Hey, that kind of nonsense can be perfectly good fun. It just has to, you know, be backed up by the other elements of the show actually being good. Like I said, I don't know anything about Supernatural, so I can't really comment on this specific case...
  10. I thought Babylon was the worst. Could barely watch it to the end - kept telling myself "it's basically almost over", but it was so cringeworthy and nonsensical I wish I had just stopped. In regards to the image, I don't know anything about Supernatural, but the rest is spot on.
  11. But that's really (arguably) a different matter entirely, though. I will never, ever watch news videos...ever. They're pretty universally horrible compared to just quickly reading an actual article (although journalistic/news standards are so low regardless of how you're receiving it, one wonders why I bother with the news at all these days...).
  12. I did a quick Google search for that, but didn't turn up anything - mind giving a link or quick rundown on this "story mode"? I can't stand the combat mechanics in PoE at all, so I'm curious...
  13. Basically what other people have said: *who* you're watching play is more about the player than the game. However, watching people you like play games can also give you a feel for those very games, and may make you interested in playing them yourself. People had been raving about Undertale for a while, and I look at it on Steam and just...wasn't very interested at all. Saw a relatively short video from someone I like who played like 20 minutes of it, and thought "that seems pretty cool", and made me get it and try it out. In a way, they're also an informal way of reviewing the game, and certainly at least complement the normal review process...as they're a perfect example of the "show, don't tell" ideal. The trick, then, is finding players who don't annoy the crap out of you... I don't generally watch entire Let's Plays of games, though, personally - I prefer just seeing relatively short "slices" of a game.
  14. Yeah, arguments like this always remind me of how poorly people must perceive me after I've been in an argument like this myself. And then I think...why do I have to be so stubborn?
  15. They've also been saying for a long time that it would be significantly higher price than the Oculus...unlike the Oculus' "ballpark of $350".
  16. I wonder what the damages for that would be in the U.S....astronomical, I'm sure.
  17. I was like, she looks more or less fine to me...knees a little red, but as far as zombie apocalypses go...and then I saw the rope.
  18. Thanks for the heads-up. Does me no good, but I already told one friend who can make use of it.
  19. But that's one of the few places where I've actually supported Apple...
  20. So this might explain why I generally dislike metal and the way electric guitars are used in general...
  21. Hah. Yeah, don't ever even consider moving to Minnesota if a few weeks of ~10 degrees is enough to make you want to leave forever.
  22. I note that you say "typical winter": I presume because this winter has been unusually mild? Honestly, while I prefer the cold, I don't really like the bone-chilling cold like it can get in MN. If I could just live somewhere that was like...always somewhere in the 35-50(F), even 60 degrees year round, that would be so great. Stupid changing seasons and weather and stuff... Average high in MN is generally around 25 degrees in January, so that doesn't seem *that* great of a distance. I'm guessing the lows are probably a lot lower here, though.
  23. I'm actually already a Minnesotan...but a more central one. The only other place I've resided for any decent amount of time is southern California. Generally speaking, I prefer the cold. I guess that depends...how cold does it get in Connecticut?
  24. I'm moving pretty close to the Canadian border...right on that northeastern tip of Minnesota by Lake Superior in a few months. Not too terribly away from Duluth at the very least, but it's still pretty darned rural as far as things go... Should be fun.
