Long rant on RPGs and comments on Obsidian
I don't think BioWare is ruined. I like both BioWare and Obsidian - they both made great games!

Yeah I know what you mean, and completely respect that viewpoint (of DRM being part of a criteria whether to play the game or not). We all have are own criteria that we use to decide whether to play a game or not. No The Sims for me Thanks - yes we all have different criteria and place a different emphasis on each criterion. I am not sure I understand the Sims reference though - is it just to indicate your criteria, or is there some hidden meaning? I guess that might be because I have not played the Sims...

Fallout 3
Hahaha, at least you're honest about it. Lol, but true!

Why do you need DRM to save money on games? If you want to save money, just don't play games at all - you'll save lots that way I don't need DRM to save money on games, but it does save me money if you see what I mean. Basically, I buy games that meet my criteria - I don't set myself a specific budget, but my criteria are pretty strict. DDRM automatically puts a game below those criteria, so it saves me money in that way - it is not as good as if the games exceeded my criteria, but it has this ancillary benefit.

Which Fallout was the greatest?
Well, if the name is the real reason you don't like Fallout 3 that's a different matter. Don't get too hung up on it. Just think of Fallout 3 as Fallout Action, or something and you can enjoy it too.

Zero Punctuation - Yahtzee reviews
Read his review of the Orange Box, particularly Portal. Hmm, fair enough - I stand corrected!

That's what I generally do - I am a completionist! But 26 hours for that is a bit short...

Things you irrationally fear
My uncle broke 7 ribs a few months ago by falling from a ladder onto a table. Ladders can be pretty dangerous.

Eulogy for a game
Don't get me wrong, I like books, but not as a means to continue one of my favorite computer game franchises.

Eulogy for a game
I don't know in this case... maybe marginally better than nothing, but not by a great deal.

Darth Revan
Actually, that wasn't merely a rhetorical question. I am genuinely unsure whether he is still in charge of LucasArts.

Pictures of your games
I don't get the reference. Can you explain?

I thought it was reasonably funny!

Which Fallout was the greatest?
I think it's reasonable to not like a game on the basis of research and second hand information rather than actually playing it. People often have a good idea of what things will appeal to them. Indeed, I avoid a lot of games on that basis.

Is George Lucas even in control of LucasArts anymore? Didn't he quasi-retire to do his dream projects?

Trouble with new HD
They don't really lie. It stems from the difference in definitions of prefixes. Standard definitions: Kilo = 1,000 Mega = 1,000,000 Giga = 1,000,000,000 Tera = 1,000,000,000,000 Therefore, in standard terminology Terabyte is 1,000,000,000,000 bytes. In computing terminology, however, each new prefix is defined by being a positive integer in 2^10n, so: Kilobyte = 1,024 bytes Megabyte = 1048576 bytes Gigabyte = 1073741824 bytes Terabyte = 1099511627776 bytes (Note, this terminology has now been officially replaced to avoid confusion with lame names, such as Gigibyte...) Hence, your HDD probably has 1,000,000,000,000 bytes, which is 1TB in standard terminology, but in the old, but still widely used computing terms, this only amounts to 909.4947017729282379150390625 computer Gigabytes (Gigibytes). Yeah, manufacturers usually choose to measure memory not incorrectly, but so that the seems to be larger than it actually is by the way most operating systems measure it. But a friend of mine bought a 500gb drive this summer that was about 502gb, so not all manufacturers are running this mini-scam. I think it was a Seagate but Im not sure. Well, technically speaking the way manufacturers measure it is officially correct and the way the OS measures it is not. But yeah, it can be a bit deceptive.

Eulogy for a game
A book is simply no substitute for the game for me.
