  1. Some BioWare dev has explicitly said that SWOR is KOTOR 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9. Hmm, I guess that means we can get KOTOR 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 and beyond as single player game again!
  2. BTW: Were you sarcastic about the romance? The others all seem to dispute that it's in the game.
  3. In Fallout 1 there was a scattering of easter eggs and goofy moments, but they were pretty rare. It was mostly a serious, albeit dark-humored, game. Most of the original devs departed after Fallout 1 and the team that ended up doing Fallout 2 ramped up the goofiness and easter eggs to a pretty absurd degree. The game became more of a referendum on pop culture than a serious game. It still had good moments, but everything ended up being a tad exessive. I see. Well, I guess this kind of thing can happen to anything when you try to introduce too much of something that is good only when used sparingly.
  4. I haven't played Half Life 2!
  5. Well, I guess that counts for something! Also, Maria Calliban is disputing the notion of there being no romances.
  6. Thanks for the clarification. Just out of interest: What are the minimum and the recommended requirements for the Storm of Zehir? My current system is: Pentium M 760 2GHz 2 GB RAM ATI Mobility Radeon X700 with 128MB VRAM 100GB HDD Will I be able to run it? I am actually getting a new computer around the end of the week, which can run it for sure, but I left my install disks back in Slovakia, so I will have to make do with my old computer, where the games are already installed, until I return back to my country.
  7. I missed that. Not having the game yet, I only skirt many of the posts to avoid spoilers of exact details.
  8. Romance-fee as far as I can tell. That's pretty funny.
  9. But didn't it irritate you? It could be funny if sparse, but if it appeared frequently, I would be pretty irritated.
  10. I got that, but why does he want to finish it if he finds it boring and thus not enjoyable? Is it for story reasons, or perhaps just for the sake of completionism? These are all valid reasons, but I am just interested what the reason is that compels him to continue playing it despite the lack of enjoyment.
  11. How regularly did things like this appear in the game? Every five minutes. It almost ruined the game. Ouch, that does sound very over the top. I mean, I don't mind occassional humor (anybody remember the spectator beholder from Baldur's Gate II?) of the game not taking itself seriously, but if it appears too often, it would ruin the experience for me.
  12. You can't get married or there are no romances at all?
  13. There is enough content, in terms of races and classes, that's true, but I would still like to see the implementation of what I call 'combinational' or 'combinatorial' prestige classes that allow the character to progress in multiple types of spellcasting simultaneously. This means classes such as the Mystic Theurge.
  14. Well, sure, they could make a book set in the between KOTOR 2 and SWOR, but for me that cannot replace KOTOR 3.
  15. Are there romances in the game? Can you get married? I heard that this was a prominent feature of the first two Fallout games - did this carry over to number 3?
  16. Than why do you play it?
  17. How regularly did things like this appear in the game?
  18. If the optimization is anything close to that done for MotB than I will be one happy camper (ehm, gamer)!
  19. Well, I have never even heard of it before this thread. That's anecdotal evidence, I suppose, but still...
  20. That's good news. I will be running it on my old computer, where NWN2 and MotB are installed, as I left the install discs behind in my home country, so I will not have access to them until the holidays and thus cannot install it on my new machine until then.
  21. Apparently, it's Dead Space: http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/vie.../333-Dead-Space I haven't watched it yet, but I must say I was hoping for Fallout 3.
  22. I think the optimization in MotB trumped the additional power needed for the extra features. I guess you are right in that we don't know whether SoZ will do the same.
  23. So, when is the next review due?
  24. This... because of the 'universal sword' property.
  25. The cross-platform release pretty much guaranteed that from the get-go. Good point - but still - so quickly?
