  1. Well. It is all about the personal tastes. I for example love RPGs, but from all of the GoldBox SSI games, I really enjoy only Dark Sun I, which is generally praised, and Menzoberranzzan, which is probably one of the weakest entries in AD&D CRPGs according to many critics. I attribute that to my strange taste, because I love also PoE 1 more than BG2 every person I know, has some guilty pleasure or “hate fetish” in their gaming habits, which no one else understands
  2. The Surge 2 arrived on GOG today! https://www.gog.com/news/release_the_surge_2
  3. New Doom Hopefully not 76 trailer out!
  4. Moved further with White March expansion today (little bit over 4 hours of playtime today ) I have finished all of the quests from Russetwood, and reaped some rewards Then I have decided to go to the location east of the Stallwart and after encountering Lagufaeth Broodmother and her pack, which completely decimated my 9th level party, I have decided to move back to Stallwart for a night at the Inn. The fight was crazy, the pack knocked out during a fight all of my characters with the exception of Edér and Durance. In the middle of fight I was able to “spell bubble” him and when Edér moved closer and closer to death, the spell ended and I cast with him last few spells in his spellbook to finish the Broodmother the reward was a small egg which hatched after a while in my backpack That episode will be uploaded tomorrow on my youtube
  5. Because I am forgetting to save, I have lost 1 and half hour of progress in PoE White March I am little bit exhausted. The expansion is tough for level 8 I'll try to do another attempt in few hours
  6. My party is currently my Cipher, Aloth, Edér, Durance, Zahua and Maneha So he is having his chance now
  7. I have arrived some time ago into White March expansion of the Pillars of Eternity. The expansion is little bit harder than anticipated, but still doable First I have saved the Village of Stalwart from big bad Ogres and then, I have run around and tried to get as many quests I could, today I have entered the Russetwood and I almost get wiped out, thankfully I survived with my main character with probably 10 health or so . So far I am satisfied with the expansion
  8. And all of them have some lines about some kind of Xbox
  9. I have just reach level 8 in Pillars of Eternity with my whole group. I have just arrived at 7th floor of The Endless Paths, and then, I still need to finish Heritage Hill district of Defiance Bay. After that, I will move finally to the first part of the White March Expansion. Sometimes I completely **** up some pulls down under, and in the 6th floor my tank finished one of these fights with last 3HPs before permanent death I have to be more cautious
  10. Well the biggest moral reason woul be "It's EA"
  11. You can probably redeem one more copy and offer it to some giveaway *hint hint*
  12. Tower of Time giveaway on GOG!!!
  13. The combat in the looked ridiculous. For me already clear GOTY 2020
  14. I have just finished 3rd level in The Endless Paths and later solved the Sanitarium main quest. Now I have arrived to Ondra's Gift and did fast exploration. I have already received the invitation to the Hadret's House, but I want to finish few more quests in Defiance Bay before moving to White March part 1.
  15. Well, looks like my choice of factions resolved by itself. I took a quest at the Dozens HQ, which made me join them, without me noticing it Anyway, I spent a lot of time in Brackenbury and solved few sidequests including Aloth's personal one. I still need to completely finish Sanitarium, but I have some stuff to do in Caed Nua first, because bandits are looting my money there
  16. Started to do quests in Defiance Bay and currently ended up in Catacombs I still have to decide which faction to join. Either Crucible Knights or Dozens. I so far prefer the Crucibles, but while doing some of the quests, I start to lean more towards the Dozens. I try to go for Rational, Benevolent and Diplomatic answers, and I still do not know, which of the factions suits for my character better (based solely on roleplay decisions) Also 11 videos already uploaded to my YT channel if you curious
  17. The Surge 2 will be coming to GOG if you prefer DRM free Anyway, more Pillars goodness, I have left the Raedric’s Hold, in the Kolsc hands, and then slowly moved to Defiance Bay, I have tried to visit Sturgeon Gorge, or what was the name, for a while, but my party got destroyed on level 5 So I have reloaded back to Caed Nua and moved to the Copperlane to start few tasks and quets. So Act 1 is at the end, and I will be slowly going through all Defiance Bay Districts. A lot of talking and low portion of fighting awaits
  18. 2019 My list of games finished this year. Only one is from 2019 though (technically ) And currently playing Pillars of Eternity, but I do not think, that I will be able to finish it before New Year Eve, so this might be complete list. 11 games – 8 GoG games, 1 PS3 game and 2 PS4 games 1 - January 3, 23:30 – My first game finished in 2019 became Xenonauts from GOG, after long break I've taken, when I've moved to my new place, two years ago. The game is excellent tribute to original Xcom games, and I've enjoyed it, despite some of the missions with Reapers were frustrating, because even if I ended my turn with lot of TUs saved for "overwatch" shots, most of my agents in most cases started to shoot at them, after they killed someone already. And that was actually the main reason, why I took such a long break from the game 2 - March 8, 23:30 – I have finished my first blind playthrough of Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition on PS4. I have been waiting for this game more than 5 years to be released in the West, on one of my platforms, after I've found out that Tales of series exist, and is awesome. The long wait was really worth it. It will definitely not be my favourite Tales of game, like for many other people, because I am bad at combat in this game but I've enjoyed the story and the characters, so I hope Namco Bandai will bring more of the Japan only Tales of games to the West. 3 - April 16, 20:00 – I have just finished Earthlock. A Norwegian made jRPG. The game is nice in the combat area, but the writing is not the best point of the game. Still, not bad, and I have enjoyed the game more than enough to recommend it further. I was also able to get 100% of achievements on GOG Galaxy, and it took me 40 hours in total. 4 - May 22, 22:45 – After many, many years, I have finally finished Septerra Core: Legacy of the Creator from GOG. I played it for the first time around year 2000, but I've never finished it. The story is pretty solid, with the exception of the ending, but in the last 20 hours of the game, the combat gets very tedious, and there is to much of it. It kind of spoiled my enjoyment of the game as a whole, and then the ending nailed it down little bit further 5 - June 20, 14:15 – Having it pretty long time on my backlog, I've finished Hyperdimension Neptunia VII on PS4 today. My first playthrough ended with the most common Ascension Ending. The game is IMO much better than all previous installments. Cut-scenes are shorter, gameplay is more refined, sending out scouts is more user friendly. Can't wait for the release of Super Neptunia RPG in few days. 6 - August 8, 22:00 – I have finished my second playthrough of Tales of Symponia on PS3. I had not enough Grade to get bonus XP nor to transfer my earned Gald for New Game+, so I had to play it the classic way. With little bit of grinding for equipment and consumables for boss fights . I was able to finish every single sidequest and minigame, with the exception of Zelos' Gigolo title (because I've picked Kratos at the end of the game), which was a mistake during my planning phase for this playthrough. I've tried to achieve as much Titles as possible, with Kratos getting all of them, so the Platinum Trophy road is now at 54%. Game is still solid gold, with very good storyline, but it has not as enjoyable combat for me as other Tales of... titles I've played. 7 - September 24, 0:00 – After 3 years long break, I have finaly finished my Grand Campaign of Crusader Kings Complete from GOG. In 2015, I have started as one of the smallest counties in Kingdom of Hungary, as a Count of Gemer. Due to carefull planning of marriages, I have became 31 years later the new Duke of Nyitra, and 6 more years later in 1105, the almighty King of Hungary. After that, I have slowly expanded my realm to the east and south, with occasional special marriages, to get the possibility for my children to inherit other Counties and Dukedoms. 347 years later, after I've defeated Golden Horde, Bulgars and other heathens, and had few struggles with infidels of Byzantium, I had became King of another 7 countries. I've became King of Hungary, Bohemia, Khazaria, Burgundy, Croatia, Georgia, Sicily and Rus and was once crowned as Holy Roman Emperor. My kingdom had 102 direct vassals and 197 counts, dukes, bishops, and archbishops under my command. Some of them rebelious some of them loyal, but the Kingdom overcame few of their revolts and had a potential to grow more but the end of the game in 1452 came faster than I thought 8 - November 4, 0:00 – I have purchased STASIS: Deluxe Edition in this years Halloween sale on GOG, and I have to say, this was one of the best gaming deals this year. The atmosphere was really tense during the whole 10 hours of gameplay and the ending was unexpected. Some item puzzles were harder to crack, but 90% of the time, they were intuitive to solve. I have enjoyed the game so much, that I have purchased the deluxe content for the developers second game in the same universe called Cayne. This one, will be my next game to play for sure. 9 - November 9, 21:45 – Another game from Stasis universe finished today: CAYNE: Deluxe Edition. It was as good as previous, although much shorter. The puzzles were less complicated, although few of them gave me headaches, while trying to solve them . The ending was this time much more predictable, but it did not spoiled my enjoyment of the game. 10 - November 17, 16:00 – I have finished story of Reynard de la Foret in Celestian Tales: Old North as my first playthrough of this game. It's short but enjoyable game in a style of JRPG, which has some interesting plot twists for player to experience. The most surprising thing for me was, that it is one of very few games, where you do not play the hero, which has to save the world, but you play a squire, who with other pupils, helps the big generals with small tasks in the background of the comming war against a threat from The North. 11 - November 20, 16:45 – Just few days later, I have finished the Celestian Tales: Old North – Howl of the Ravager, DLC prequel to the original game. The gameplay is the same, but you play as one of the young lords of Old North, introduced in the base game. It's little bit shorter than the base game, but last two areas were for me tedious, which little bit worsened my impressions.
  19. More Pillars goodness last few days I was able to clear two levels of Endless Paths some wilderness areas between Caed Nua and Defiance Bay, and built first few upgrades in my new stronghold I have arrived at Raedric’s Hold and cleared the “roofs” of “badguys” I quit just after I found some priest robes, because it was to late in the evening also three more parts of my Let’s Play uploaded into my Youtube channel, and a very big thank to Katphood for becoming my first ever subscriber Link to playlist in my signature
  20. Hello, if you can get your hand on this rulebook, you can get the basics about the world of Golarion. At least it helped me a lot to get into PnP gaming of Pathfinder. https://paizo.com/products/btpy82t7?Pathfinder-Chronicles-Gazetteer
  21. Postal 2 giveaway on GOG
  22. More Pillars of Eternity, I have tried to create one Adventure NPC, just for the achievement, it ended up being Female Moon Godlike Barbarian Created it just for 250 copper, and after few more small maps around Gilded Vale, I have decided to go to Caed Nua for the first time. I cleared main area and went underground, where spider kicked my tank little bit, and then when I've spoken to Maerwald, I have for some reason completely ****ed up the positioning of my party, so he needed to hurl few spells, and I ended up in afterlife and I have to redo the whole conversation with him again silly me. I have to watch out little bit better for my crew next time
  23. Another day in the world of Eora I have finally finished everything in Gilded Vale and surrounding areas. It took me 10 hours Last quest was in the ruins of The Temple of Eothas, where I solved the case of dead priests of Eothas. The 5th part of Let's play is uploaded on youtube as well --> https://youtu.be/3ljBJod-rHA
  24. Well brain can be trained, and the easiest way how to learn foreign language, is to learn it while having some fun. I basically learned German by watching my favourite cartoons in German language, when I was a kid, and I have learned a lot of English from Daggerfall and Baldur’s Gate wall of texts. If you would ever decide to give it a try, maybe if some of your favourite games have option to switch to German language with English subtitles (at least for me I feel, like German language is closest to English, but other people might have similar or better experience with other languages e.g Spanish, you never know before you try ) , could be helpful to adjust your brain better to foreign language.
