I can only recommend. Played both of them. Classical point and click adventure, in sci-fi horror setting.

And another DS2 boss down. Darklurker. Not so difficult, not so easy for an old guy The biggest issue was again the area to get to him, only 4 enemies, but I pulled by mistake more than one of them, it was immediate death. The second annoying thing was the requirement of 1 human effigy for each entrance to the area. I spent more than 20 until I've finished the fight. This time, I've defeated the boss on 9th try, but his mirror image was able to cast one more spell outside of my FoV, while the first was already down... I got Victory Achieved, I was yelling happy hell yeah, and right in middle of that, I got one Shadow Spear spell up my ass... You can imagine me cursing in that moment... It took me few more tries to start concentrating again, but in the end my 14th attempt was finally again successful... See bellow -
Why do consoles suck so much these days?
Mamoulian War replied to Pidesco's topic in Computer and Console
Might be the issue of Xbox. I have PS2, 3 and 4 and the only thing, which I have issue with is the online pay behind paywall. Everything else is manageable, because I have turned off automatic updates. Might be because I do not play multiplayer games at all, with exception of few races now and then... But yes PS5 did not sparked any interest for me so far... so you might be onto something... -

More Dark Souls 2 played with some small breaks. I am getting slowly to the endgame, so I am just picking up some loose ends. After ridiculous buttkicking in Dragon Shrine on the staircase to the Dragon lying there, I got some key item from him. IIRC Ashen Mist Heart. Some time ago, after visiting the Freja's room again I have found out some strange thingie, which I was unable to activate before, so I have tried to go there with the Heart and to my surprise I got in som kind of old dragon memory. After a while I've picked one thing there and went to open the doors locked by King's Ring in The Forest of Fallen Giants. There was the last bonfire I was missing and I went towards one old tree, which was sparkling. I've found few of them few weeks ago during my firsts visits to the area, but it has never happened anything when I have interacted with them. But the new thing was, that the tree was shining now. So I've touched it, and to my very big surprise, I got similar cutscene to the Dragon Memory. I got into something called Memory of Jeigh, where there was big fight between Giants and Hollows, with fire raining everywhere and stone heads rolling around... I have noticed, that it looks very similar to Pursuer arena, where there was one big broken head of statue lying around as well. And in the end, there was one big guy waiting on me. After I have move closer to him, I've found out, that it's another bossfight Well, I've run up the stairs, but died very shortly afterwards The fight extremely easy, almost as easy as the Covetous Demon. But the main issue was big lag due to the fighting in the arena on the PS3 version of the game, which caused significant input lag... So it took me 12 tries to adjust to it, and finding the correct rhytm between his attack, me pushing buttons and my toon executing, what I've wanted from him I got loooooooooooooooads of souls from this encounter and happily left the area after picking up the Soul of a Giant. Being happy and thinking what stats to spent all these souls, I've almost missed, that I was invaded by NPC summon... Royal Sorcerer Navlaan... Who promptly kicked my ass because I was almost out of all spells . Terrifying... So I've prepared my best pew pew, and run fast to my souls, hoping that I survive the second encounter. Thankfully he did not invaded right away, so I was able to pick them all promptly, and right after that, I've sent one big Soul Spear up to his face After a while, I was victorious and used homeward back to Majula, to spent all of them, before I've repeat some stupid mistake like few years ago in Demon Souls, where I lost over 300k souls in the very first area of NG++ right after defeating the Old King Alant for the second time Final attempt at the boss bellow -

Yes, I have it already, and I am using it for Boss Fights. It just increases spell uses, but no spell damage. Still kind of useful for Soul Spear increase. -
Idiots will be always the most vocal people on the internet... But I am just wondering that there were no news about death threats to Josh Brolin because he wiped half life from the universe...

I’ve seen some palythrough with melee as well. It looks like it would be for me even bigger pain in the ass than now, but I think some of these mobs would be easier to manage, due to much higher damage output of melee weapon with STR or DEX builds compared to my spell damage. Anyway, I have tried to search for some spell damage boosting gear like the Dusk Crown or how it was caaled in DS1, but failed so far. Does it even exist or I am just to bad at searching as well? -
Hopefully not based on Fallout 76

And another boss down in Dark Souls 2. Getting to him was also pretty annoying. TBH I am starting to get, why some people might not like the DS2 design. After opening the doors with 4 greater souls, the areas became more and more tedious. Overpowered mobs placed all over the map, making me pretty annoyed because of either constant deaths, or because you have to plough through them slowly, because of their ridiculous HPs... Or both things combined... And after that, a boss like this... Two minutes fight and 4 attempts needed... The area right after him, is the best one after these doors. It looks nice and is more of a puzzle than a enemy fest... And the next one... well, I did not knew something can outmatch Shrine of Amana in ridiculousness, but I was unpleasantly surprised... Well, enough of rambling, I had enough fun In between Shrine of Amana and Fragon Shrine, to be able to enjoy the game enough to continue onwards... -

It might be little bit of nostalgia, but I liked a lot prerendered 3D backgrounds for older jRPGs, like FFIX, or Tales of the Abyss. From newer game, it might be Battlechasers Night War, Dark Souls games in 1080p and Deponia series *shrugs* I also liked the prerendered graphics of Cayne, but that one is also a gore-fest so it somehow defeats the impression And of course I have sof spot also for both Pillars of Eternity games, Icewind Dale and some of the PS4 Atelier games.

Still at Dark Souls 2, but due to a busy schedule at a slower pace. Also I have restarted my PS4 copy of Assetto Corsa after almost 2 year break and started to run one czech online league. I am to bad Anyway, after Shrine of Amana, the area did become much easier and much more enjoyable. There were few places with difficult placed enemies, but manageable, with the exception of one room, which tbh was more like my fault at not seeing escape corridor, so I've died few times because of that. After clearing that one, it was again boss time. All you needed to go through, was a long corridor, with 6 Syan Knights, and two of them placed just in front of the Mist Gate, so it was not possible to run past them to boss after a wipe. Because of that, I had to repeatedly clear the whole room 12 times in between wipes, which took ridiculous amount of time. At least I farmed a lot of souls that way and found out new weapon for casting, when I forgot to pacify one bell undead He was pretty easy, but my reflexes sometimes failed me, especially with his running smash attack so it took me 11 tries... and two attempt to homeward to Majula to spent 90000 souls from the Syan Knights -
I hope it will get GOG release as well.

And that is the biggest issue. They decided to pay 30 Megs to one streamer, instead of investing into building up the brand name as an alternative to Twitch, which is slowly transforming into Chaturbate Soft...

I’m in the same boat TBH. -
Fastbuy is sometimes not very good for the whole market, and game streaming could use one more decent player in the market, to move forward with innovation. After the Ninja move by Mixer, i’ve nothing else in media, which could positively boost the share of the service. For me as a extremely small streamer, who has absolutely no plan for monetization, was Mixer good choice, and to my surprise, I ended up with same number of followers there in half the time compared to Twitch. People on Mixer were probably more willing to check out less mainstream broadcasters *shrugs* and on Twitch I have found out more people watching you, who feel completed to tell you how to play your games properly, even though if you have with big letters written no spoilers/no backseating. I now fully understand the feelings of Skyrim Grandma

In other news Mixer is shutting down July 22, Ninja got offered 60 millions from Facebook Gaming, which he declined, and I am losing half of all of my followers I liked the UI and the smoothness of Mixer more than any other streaming service around, so I think the streaming market is loosing much by them going down. Sometimes even MS does good product. To bad, they kill it off before it even starts to breath

After the terrible terrible terrible Shrine of Amana experience (i've died there almost 40 times...) and a day of break, I've decided to give DS2 one more chance. The rest of Shrine of Amana is much less stupid, so I was able to traverse through the area with much less issues than in previous section... I've started to use Lightning Shortbow with Hawk Ring, which helped me to get to the boss without eating dirt. I also met one NPC invader, which made me a bit nervous, because he was not willing to get out of water, so I had to "kite" him around some pillars in there, which kind of made him less dangerous (he was a caster, and I was not able to run around in water, I am missing Rusty Ring from DS1 ) Anyway, when I visited the boss, as Hawke said, he was extremely easy, I have just sometimes jumped to late after his divebomb, and he obliterated me with it. Thankfully for my lack of reflexes was enough Ring of Steel Protection, which raised my physical defense enough to survive this attack. It took me 5 attempts to defeat him. The final try can be found below -

From what I understand, the graphic depiction of the scene is also one of the reasons, why some people might find it disturbing and not enjoying the game. In total, there is a lot of graphic depiction of violence in this game, which I know for sure, that my girlfriend would not like at all, and that is IMO very bad outcome, when you consider, Strong Female Lead is one of the main selling points of the game... Indeed some people change, but people are not very happy, that he made 180 from previous game. I can't judge that, because I played only 2 hours of TLoU1 at my cousin place, and after a first hour, which I've enjoyed a lot, I started to notice a lot of flaws in gameplay and AI behaviour, which completely spoiled my previous enjoyment of the game. But I fully understand some people hating on the game, just because of the attachment to Joel. Also, as I said before, it is completely understandable, that you personally enjoy the game, and lot of stuff does not bother you. And it's good, because, your money was well spent (and I really wish I could say that about my special edition of FFXV). But there is a pretty proportional number of people, who did not think that way and feel cheated out of their money by Naughty Dog, as much as I was cheated out of my money by Square Enix... -

That last one was sarcastic remark onhow the Twitter mob reacts on reviews of the people, who already finished it, and do not like it. Like SkillUp review. I am glad, you are not one of these people Also if you’ve did not arrive to the golf club scene yet, it is understandable, that you do not agree that it might be very upsetting for some people. -

Well, I know more people who played the game and complain about it than vice versa *shrugs* If you can't emphasize with a guy, whose father died, and who was connected to Joel in a game as a fatherly figure, it's not his issue. A lot of person play the game to runaway from reality, and seeing a character to die, who he has found a connection to his father somehow in a previous story, made him completely upset and his face expresions after seeing that scene made very clear how he felt inside, which is pretty understandable IMO... And it's pretty much described the feeling in the Japanese IGN review... Also about story are to my surprise complaining also "inclusive" medias like Kotaku, Polygon, Vice and also Ars Technica... so that says in my eyes a lot about it's quality to make up my own opinion on the quality of the game without need to play it *shrugs* If you like it, good for you, but do not judge people who played it and do not like it, unless you think that all these Asian people who have issues with the game are toxic white supremacists as well
