What Are You Playing Now: The Other, Other Thread
I have successfully defeated the first boss The Lost Giant or what is his name. Thankfully because of Greater Soul Arrow. Would be pain in the ass to get him down with dagger... At least I got 10 points into Strength, so I can wield now a Hand Axe, mobs should be now easier to Defeat

Yeah, Iโve heard it was a black sheep among, but did not knew that controls were reason for it. Sometimes it works for me sometimes not. The character feels during some fights as less than 30 fps, but there is no graphics lag. Anyway deeper into the forest where iโve found one more spell, so it should be much better now.

Ok. Dark Souls 2 is for me definately harder than DS1 ๐ Currently I am at around 7 deaths per hour ๐ And I hope it gets better. I am still in the Forest area, and I think I'll spent some more time there ๐ And I do not know, but I really have feeling, that controls are more clunky than DS1 on PS3 ๐

After few days break and setting up my streaming apparatus to be able to stream PS3 games and pass through PS3 sound through my PC without delays, I've started to play vanilla version of Dark Souls 2. So far, I like it, but I do not know, if it is with the class, I've chosen (Sorcerer), but it feels kind of little bit more difficult than Dark Souls 1 and Demon Souls. Still 3 and half hour of playtime, and 12 deaths so far ๐ Most of them caused by the almighty gravity ๐

I do not understand why they are worried. EA will surely turn the switch off on this game very soon and give them a new game, where they can pay completely from scratch again... Edit: and I have just noticed, we have already an eloquent episode about that petition ๐

After 2 and half year long break, I've went back to Final Fantasy Type-0 on my PS4. I quit the game somewhere in the middle, because I got tired of the gameplay system, and it got to me very fast again. Some of the quests were mildly of annoying, some of them very nice, but for me, the mildly annoying were more common. Despite that, I found enough fun in the later half of the game to finish it, and grind little bit for all the trophies the game had to offer. The game was made for multiple playthroughs, but for now, I do not think, that I will get back to it anytime soon.

Unions have nothing to do with socialism. Unions help workers to get what they deserve. Just compare the crunch exploitation of game creators and the โsmallโ workers around movie creation. The video game people in numerous cases do not even get credited for their hard work...

On the other hand uncontrollable private monopolies are as damaging to economy as state monopolies, and without subsidies, the agriculture in some countries would not exist anymore...

Well itโs not free to play, if you need to pay for it with your free time, which you could spent on something more fun... like lobotomy...

Skipping Returns would be shame. Yes it is not stellar game, but it is good enough game to scratch that classic TB RPG itch

Went back to Final Fantasy Type-0 after 2 and half years and finished Chapter 5. Still I am not very fond of the game ๐ although I am pretty rusty playing it again.

I think, you have forgotten about the champions of balls and dong physics in entertainment industry, the makers Red Dead Redemption 2. Well, it would need little bit of adjustments for smaller than horse proportions, but I believe, they already have all of that in their hands...

In most cases, I would agree. The best combination is free camera on the world map, and prerendered dungeons, but unforrunately, even Atelier games went for full free camera lately. Though Ryza was not affected to much by it imho.

Next game on my 2020 finished list is Vaporum from GOG. Steampunk dungeon-crawler RPG made in Slovakia. After I've found out, that this game was made in my home country, I purchased it immediately, and started to play few days later. I was not satisfied that much about game purchase in very long time. All what I have expected from the game was delivered and some things have been surmounted. AI on normal difficulty was satisfying, enemies challenging and puzzles were doable with little bit of thinking. The only one, which outmatched me, was the teleport puzzle in The Office level, where I was not able to find out any visual hooks to teleport in correct order to the final switch. Also the game was balanced pretty good for older people, with slower reflexes . Few timed puzzles were on the edge, but they added time stop feature to help you out. Although I haven't used it, I see that feature as a big plus for elderly gamers. The biggest negatives for me was little bit to dark levels for my linking, few of the hidden buttons were impossible to be found without map guides and me being to rusty for this type of games ๐Still most of the secrets were easier to find than in Grimrock 1 for example. EDIT: In few weeks there should be released prequel Vaporum: Lockdown, which I'll be awaiting with open arms and wallet ๐

No time to read atm, unfortuntately. Is this a company from the original talent, or just Microprose in name only like Atari?- What Are You Playing Now: The Other, Other Thread
Vaporum levels 10 and 11. This was really painful. Lot of tough enemies, lot of teleporters and lot of ultra hidden buttons to find. Thankfully I had enough energy to overheal the damage from the mobs. Else I would still be dieing while trying to find my daughters teddy bear ๐ข These two levels caused the game to go from solid 5/5 to 4/5. We'll see what awaits me in the last level...- What Are You Playing Now: The Other, Other Thread
I have finished today two more connected levels in Vaporum, The Riddle of Steel and the Boiling Point, both levels were pretty dark, and the secret buttons were hidden so good this time, that out of 7 secrets, I had to peek into maps 3 times to find them all But two of them were just me being completely blind, because they were kind of not very hard to spot. But the last one, even with the map, I was not seeing it, and I would probably be still searching for it, if I did not luckily hover over it with my mouse button... - R@nd0m V1d30 G@m3 N3w5
