Hmm, the video you posted related to Skaen is first video of whole playlist , so at 11:19, he was still in character creation I checked the last episode and the guy experienced same issue as me He was not approached by Skaen as well So he had only 5 out of 6 solutions unlocked in the final dialogue Anyway, many thanks about the recommendations, I do not plan to make anything of these feats anytime soon, and if planning to do them, I would like to go through that very fast, therefore my second playthrough will be definitely on story mode difficulty

The third game finished this year is the base game of Pillars of Eternity from GOG. I decided to go to the Burial Isle only after finishing every single quest I had in a journal. It took few hours and after that, I've descended into the Breith Eaman and Sun in Shadow areas and upscaled the encounters for final act. After few encounters with soul of Iovara ix Ensios, I've step in front of Thaos ix Arkannon and after a lengthy dialogue, the fight have started. Well my party and thier builds were not optimal, so I spent a lot bitching about how some of them dropped down few times during the fight . In the end, the biggest help for me was the summon of Concelhaut, which was hitting Thaos from distance, while Aloth and Devil of Caroc kept knocked out repeatedly . Before his final breath, he managed dow to knock out also Edér, but in the end, it was not enough for him to defeat the rest of my party. After the fight, I’ve released his soul back to the cycle, while keeping his memories, as an adequate punishment for his deeds. In the last step, I’ve returned back the souls to all of the Hollowborn children, as promised to Hylea. The endings I’ve got were mostly positive, with the exception of Sagani, which got lost in the blizzard, and Devil of Caroc, which got torn to pieces by angry villagers. All in all one of the best RPGs, I’ve played in the last few years, and can’t wait to jump into Deadfire with my final save. There are some questions which would be nice, if you can provide me some answers 1) Skaen did not contact the Watcher with his offer after the fight with Thaos, are there any special prerequisites for him to turn up? I browsed few pages, but I was unable to find any clues. 2) I would like to have some recommendations for Zero Knockouts, Relative Pacifism and No Rest for the Pro achievements. I plan to make a quick run at the Story Mode difficulty some time during this or next year, and I would like to finish also some of the Companion Quests, and go for the "lawful good" type of character. Can you give me advice what to do and what not? 3) Also, at some point, I would like to try out The Ultimate achievement run, with evil character. The options are either Mage or Chanter, maybe, maybe Druid. Are there somewhere some depositories of hints for current version of the game. I found very good build and video of Mage run, but could not locate any advice on Druid. The Chanter which I found lacks the description of talents and skills and is using some kind of exploit, which I would like to avoid. Many thanks!

Well, With the speed SE is developing their games since PS3 era, you will probably not see the complete package before PS7 so my educated guess will be, you still have 20+ years

I don’t think so. I have finished the main quests for both expansions, but I am still missing one last quest which came with WM2, so I think there might be this guy/creature at the end of this quest. The Phylactery one. Hopefully I’ll let you know in few days how that quest ends and if I met him there or not because I want to completely clear my quest log before going to Burial Isle again

My second finished "game" this year is Pillars of Eternity: The White March – Part II expansion from GOG. I had to quest until hitting level 16 in vanilla parts of the game to be able to finish it. I have turned on the scaling for the second expansion, so some of the fights were really crazy hard. Anyway, I was able to give back the memory to Abydon, but I was not able to temper him during the conversation with the Eyeless. We'll see what impact it will have on the final ending of the game. I think I liked this part little bit more than the first one. Well with the exception of monk fights in some of the encounters. After that, I had still time to finish off the Alpine Dragon. The only dragon, with whom I was not able to talk out of the fight in my playthrough. Well, at least I have an achievement for that

OK. Now I am inside the cavern in the Cayron's Scar after few ridiculous pulls, one snow eating defeat and one Tentacle Cuddle Party... That was so ridiculous O.o

More Pillars of Eternity after few days of break. Went to Cayron's Scar and after few fights, I went met some crazy party, where Lagufaeths were together with Ondrite Fanatics... For some reason, three of my party members got some crazy AoE DoT ticking on them which did 40 damage to them... Of course there was no chance for my group staying alive... I tried to save at least Devil of Caroc, but the bubble spell which I use for situations like these completely failed. I need to recheck all of the Durance spells if he has some kind of DoT removal or at least supression for this kind of situation, because I completely forgot... So my party got obliterated, and my last save was more than half and hour back, soooo I kind of get annoyed and pissed off, that I rather turned off my game...

Then you are very close to finishing up PoE1. You should give it a try and import your party.

Again two more hours of Pillars of Eternity, and I was able to approach the Radiant Spore without being obliterated in few seconds! The big bad spore mind-controller fell after a glorious battle!

More Pillars of Eternity! And Kaoto from The Abbey of the Fallen Moon is no more! I got owned twice, before I was able to find a way how to get his party down. This fight would be impossible without Kana. His AoE paralyzing stun was the ability, which helped me to turn the tide of the battle on my side! I just had to be sure, to get into the cone the Cleric and as many monks as possible. And then slowly take them one by one slowly down. Very, very difficult fight.

That’s correct, I love to play sometimes fast paced shooters, like Doom or Hard Reset, but I hate them to watch. If you play the game, you feel the speed completely different than watching a stream or video.

Well, to me PoE was not tedious, I got asskicked in few fight for the same reason, as by Kangaxx, because I did not know the composition of the whole group waiting on me. Some of them were really hard, but I was able to survive the fight and even if I used most of the spells and consumables on it, I did not reload to try for better outcome, I just enjoyed it as it was offered. And if comparing it with BGs in my eyes, I enjoyed my first game of PoE more than BG, but on par with BG2. Maybe the story in PoE is for me better.

Well, it depends on the player. Even if developers do something to prevent savescumming, people find out how to do it. As best example are achievement runs in Paradox Grand Strategies, where it should save everytime you quit. If you fail in something, you drop the game and you can bypass that autosave. When I was younger, I have savescummed almost every game. Now I know, It's just waste of time. Even if I fail my rolls or dialog choices, I continue with the outcome. It brought me in PoE lot of interesting and surprising dialogue outcomes and consequences. *shrugs*

Moar PoE I have arrived into The Abbey of the Fallen Moon, and entered Halls of Silence. Exploring the surroundings, I have decided to click on a lever which I noticed on the wall, and The speed how fast that happened took me completely by surprise

@melkathi ad 6. I care, and I enjoy it well with the exception of Durance. He is not as annoying to me, but from his whole spell pool I am using like 6 maybe 7 spells. Which is bad... Other spellcasters’ spell pools are little bit better balanced, but because it is not vancian type of casting, from in each spell level you Just pick the most powerful and cast them all the time. With Ciphers being the most extreme. As soon as I got access to level 6 spells, I am using 90% of the time one spell which spreads circle of water wave and knocks down all enemies in area. For me the most balanced spell pool is for the mage, followed close by druid spell pools. Unfortunatelly I was not able to find out a lot about chanter spells, so I will not comment on their spell pools. Being said all that, PoE is still one of the best wRPG games, I’ve played in last 10 years. Can’t wait to put my hands on PoE2...

After few days of break, I have again ventured into the world of Eora in Pillars of Eternity. I have finished the Iron Flail Fort and even though there was big slaughter, while getting to the leader of the camp, I was able to call for a truce, and we were able to finish the misunderstanding in a peaceful manner. Now I am back into the Durgan's Battery to prepare the cannons, for something, which might or might not come I let myself be surprised

Well, IIRC, BG 2 had worse. I get sometimes pissed off, because of stupid pathfinding, but it is not every day, like it was with older infinities... Anyway, played more of PoE today as well, and hopefully I'll find few more hours in the evening. Main course of today's gameplay was Zahua's personal quest in Whitestone Hollow. If anyone is interested in seeing the whole Concelhaut affair, feel free to watch the video, which I had a time to finally publish it today

And Concelhaut is no more in my world of Eora (Pillars of Eternity optional boss). My ass was AoEd to dust two times, before I finally kicked his A reward, two new spells for Aloth and new pet
