  1. Yes, Edge of Eternity will be coming to GOG as well!!! https://www.gog.com/game/edge_of_eternity edit: also Gamedec yay!!! https://www.gog.com/game/gamedec
  2. After some struggles and 8 attempts, I was able to defeat Scorpioness Najka. IMO encounter with one of the most interesting designs in DS2. My favourite is still Executioner's Chariot, but this one was much more challenging. The biggest issue was to get there. First the poisoned hollows who attacked always in big groups, then invisible enemies in fog area, and next cursed goat-lions with extreme magic and elemental resistances... I do not know, if there was some glitch in development or if it was intentional, but the next two areas after this boss have much much weaker enemies, which I found strange...
  3. And for a change little bit better boss design in Dark Souls 2. The second Great Soulbearer - The Rotten. Just the arena around it was kind of to hot I died more times trying to avoid lava, than while outrunning the boss Also the area, which you had to traverse to get to the boss was annoying. To many poison spitting statues lying around... All in all 13 attempts to get him down. The final attempt bellow
  4. In this case I think you are right. concept is fine but because of AI and small arena and clunkiness of controls for caster class, it missed the mark IMO. it was even worse in Congregation Fight...
  5. OK, I'll be can opener in this thread After getting owned in Iron Keep a lot again and again and again, I've decided to go to the Mjaula Pit, aaand as you can guess, the most challenging opponent of the game is there on every step... Gravity Getting to the first boss in Grave of Saints was thankfully pretty simple, due to Laddermaster selling, you guessed it... ladders, of course, the first one for 500 souls was a trap and I fallen to deep, which of course resulted in another "corpse run" The second obstacle was naked NPC Invader with no weapons, well, at least he looked like it... of course he was wearing transparent gear and two special rings, which conceal weapons, but I have found that out only after reading an Wiki entry on that NPC the next day... Now all the hard hits to my head made sense And after that one strange boss encounter... Royal Vanguard. I had absolutely no clue how this fight works, so for a few minutes I was just running around, like a headless chicken, while throwing Firebombs in all directions after a while, I've noticed that one firebomb hit resulted in damage to the boss healthbar, which got my attention, and after another minute or so of running around the ratswarn, I have noticed, that one of the rats in the arena has some strange fur on it's back, so I deducted, that maybe he might be a boss... well, that brought to me another challenge just go and try to lock your spells on one specific rat in the pack of 12 not a chance... and I was out of Firebombs... so next few moments I have run for a change like a chicken, with it's head focused on one target, which was impossible to get a lock on But enough of words, you can rewatch my silly second and final attempt on this boss encounter below
  6. Torchlight 2, Freespace 1, and War Wind II, all on GoG for retro madness
  7. And after finding the way, how to remove the poison from her arena, I was able to finally defeat Mytha, the Baneful Queen. Not very hard fight without the poison, just my old bones needed to adjust the reflexes to her fast moves In total 9 tries to defeat her (including two with the poison still there).
  8. To be honest, there are some games in both Shadys and Oners list, I would be interested and play, but I just can’t ask for anything Steam only, because i just simply don’t use it...
  9. Not really, they got in last few months few games, which I never expected to see there. I think, they provide much better incentives to purchase from them (at least for me), than free game every sale.
  10. GOG Galaxy has also screenshot function, but I do not remember which key it is. I think F12, but don't take my word for it
  11. Aaaand before struggling on Mytha, I have encountered the easiest bossfight in Souls games so far, Covetous Demon, in less than 2 minutes was this Jabba clone beaten flat... The main difficulty of this boss, was to get to him through all of the poisoned stuff laying around...
  12. Total Annihilation for free on GOG, and both Life is Strange games released there as well..
  13. Yes it's the poison windmill lady Actually I was trying to figure out how to get her down on my own, but with no success... Later I have just checked BlueLizardJello's Everything possible videos, how many secrets I have missed, and there was one thing, which I believe would never find out on my own...
  14. And I got asskicked by Mytha and lost 20k souls on her. I will have to skip her for now, because I do not have a clue how to fight her now Please no spoliers yet
  15. And because I had today a day off-work, my progress through Dark Souls 2 was pretty solid As a start I decided to venture into Undead Purgatory, where I encountered Executioner's Chariot boss. I like design of this encounter. When I got to the last phase of the encounter, it was very easy, but my issue were again my hands I died few times to the respawning skeletons, but in the end, five tries were enough to defeat this boss. So far despite the easy difficulty, I liked this bossfight the most.
  16. And another bossfight in Dark Souls 2 successfully behind me. The fight was not complicated, but it brought few surprises to me, during the encounter. Which in the end meant me corpsrunning few times It might take a little bit longer to learn the fights that way, but I really enjoy the learning process of some encounters, even if it might feel sometime little bit frustrating. The successful attempt ended up pretty long, but I think, I played to cautious this attempt, after wiping the floor clean in last two attempts during the last wave of chariot wheel skeletons rolling everywhere
  17. Three new games became free on GOG. One of them is Warwind, pretty original classic RTS. https://www.gog.com/news/check_3_games_that_just_became_free_on_gogcom
  18. In pther news, Take 2 reached new level of being ****... First they cancelled Kerbal Space Program 2, which caused the indie developer going out of business Second they created new internal studio called Intercept and poached the staff of defunct indie dev Third they renewed Kerbal Space Program 2 as internal project All of that allegedly because the Indie devs declined thier offer for possible buyout of studio... 19. Thank you I already know about NPCs . I’ve playing my first playthrough mostly blind, so I am trying to avoid all possible spoilers, and from what I’ve heard, I’ve already missed some of theses quest chains. So I’ve decided to leave these quests for NG+ and we’ll see how it goes then. And the bonfire ascetic item... well, I suck bog times on original bosses, so I will definatelly not use that yet I plan to finish the game few times, to get all the trophies, so I think, there might be some point where, that I will try that, but I’m definatelly not ready for that yet
  20. Yesterday I had after a long time more chilly experience with Dark Souls 2, much less deaths Seems like I have again became more relaxed and patient playing the game I have finished the Sinner's Rise and went to Huntsman's Copse. Where I have administered only 4 deaths, half of which were due to one item on a tower, where I failed to jump The Lost Sinner was for me exercise in patience. First few tries clearly failed due to me being impatient, trying to shoot soul arrows as much as possible During the 8th try my patience became almost perfect, but I have missclicked a button during the final few bosses HP, when I wanted to switch to new spell But thankfully 9th one went perfect, with just few hits to my head
  21. OK, I use this as a shameless promotion Full playthrough of final mission of Final Fantasy Type-0. Obvious spoilers in there So do not watch if planning to finish this one day Unfortunately the full ending is not present, due to the game being streamed from PS4, and SE decided to hide few of the scenes
  22. Boss number 7 down in Dark Souls 2 - Belfry Gargoyles. I needed only 4 Tries this time It was much harder to get to the bell to open the door to the fog gate, than to defeat the encounter, the small dwarfs with bows/crossbows were very annoying Very similar to DS1 Gargoyle Fight.
  23. And fresh out of oven, The Ruin Sentinels... Easy fight in theory, but again, my biggest issue was my impatience, and of course to small platform Sooner or later, there will be also available video of various ways, how to drop off the ledge and make a suicide For now, I present you the 33rd attempt at the trio of the bosses, where I was finally able to not be to much trigger-happy
  24. More Dark Souls 2. I have edited links in my previous posts, and uploaded Youtube videos, which are having the fights in whole. It looks like Twitch for some reason during my streams stops producing I-frames in their videos, so I have to make a cut 30 or 40 second after the desired scene, which I still want to have in my video. So from now on, I will be posting short youtube videos from my laming gaming Downside will be, it will take probably some more time due to upload schedule Anyway, next step for me was the Old Dragonslayer in The Citadel of Blue. To my surprise, Mr. Ornstein entered the show, which was an advantage, because I already knew most of his moves. Therefore only 5 attempts were needed to put him down
  25. Yes you are right, he is really easy, but I just started to wear glasses, so probably my biggest issue is, that when I think, I am far enough already, I am still not. I had same reach issues with Dragonrider
