Very relevant. The newspost as well.

Exactly, and then look at this stuff he just made. I'm personally hoping that Bethesda just sucks at picking out the pieces that will be displayed. Edit: Glory to the first man to die!

That's not racist, it just means that she think a large part of americans are. I'd find that insulting, but then again I find Hillary in general to be insulting. And noone besides Hillary and some optimistic republicans thought that she had a chance of winning.

@D_N and Starwars I'm thinking of buying Culpa Innata so how much would you guys say is a reasonable price?

The reason that I dislike the music is that mr. Inon Drool HAS created better music in the past. His ID2 music contain some of the most evocative wintry pieces that I've ever heard and his latest works with the Dawn of War expansions also had music that I had trouble getting enough of, so why does he fail me now? Why mr. Ion Drive, why?
-
Quite awful. Didn't he create the music for tactics? That was way better than what he's done this time.

To build on this I'd like to throw up the idea of of non-traditional settings. AP is quite interesting for me because it will explore a relatively untouched setting and seems to want to do it in an interesting way and that usually helps a game a lot. Not that I dislike DnD RPGs for being DnD RPGs, but most of them, especially the ones in the swordcoast setting, tend to get a bit boring as much of it has been explored plenty. Personally I would like to see Obsidian, or any other developer for that matter, to explore settings which are interesting but not fashionable i.e. steampunk, westerns, non-traditional fantasy etc. One of the primary reasons that I'm looking forward to Dragon Age is that there is a decent chance that the setting will feel fresh and be interesting.

Didn't everyone get that? And I agree with you GD.

I doubt that PC-pirates would have any effect on console sales. The people who play a game on the console over the PC are vastly different than their PC brethren, and those that find paying an abhorent practise will get their console chipped.

Source. But as I said this is themselves defining when they were cracked. See!
-
I thought it would be interesting to mention that Bioshock managed to avoid being pirated for 13 days (according to themselves) which is relatively long. Edit: I guess that should be avoided being cracked, but you guys know what I mean.

Most people who don't suddenly stop playing their games will go through much more than 3 systems in their lifetime and as such there is a good chance that many people will be inconvenienced by this. I've already been through 4 systems in the 15 years that I've been playing PC games and I'm pretty sure that I will go through many more to the paint where I will need a installation-redeeming failure rate of less than 16%1 which I doubt that I will have. There is also the point that I don't want to manually uninstall all my games everytime I change my PC significantly. It is true that technology becomes obsolete but it is quite possible to copy CD's to DVD's to prevent that from harming you and it isn't very troublesome or even expensive. On the other hand, if you loose ME's three installations you will have to make an expensive and troublesome call to Securom. Expectations are different with digital media since we haven't moved away from it yet. It is much harder for the average consumer to save their analog collections than their digital ones which can be copied to harddisks or similar. 1: number of installations/(my current amount of systems+(average liftime of my systems*(average age of death-my current age)))=3/(4+(3,75*(75-19))) This is exacerbated by the fact that system components do fail and they do that a lot. @mkreky & D_N Do you guys truly believe that all companies can follow Stardocks buisness model and still retain the essence of what they are currently? I'm not gonna argue that Stardock haven't done very well but buisness models can't just be copied and just pointing to Stardock won't help Bioware, 2k, Crytek or Epic games.
-
Actually, yes. But that wasn't my point. My point was that you too have installed games on over three different machines since it is rare for people to manually uninstall games when they switch system and I'm quite sure that that would be required for Securom to redeem that install. This means that three dead motherboards would probably make your copy a coaster. Noone has answered how much in your system has to change for it to use up one of the three installs but I wouldn't be surprised if a dead motherboard would do exactly that. Besides that you're also spending an install when you forget to uninstall a game before you reformat your computer or just gets a new system without uninstalling your game from the old one. @Your recent post No companies are not under obligation to make sure that you can play betamax viedocassetes in the future but they don't create them so that they require an online activation and as such you can still play them if you find a machine capable of doing so.

How did you get into the gaming industry?
Moatilliatta replied to jlf2n's topic in Developers' Corner
I've actually heard that lying about your competency is in many places completely acceptable so long as you actually do well enough on the job. -
Both. There are enough people out there for whom it could be troublesome that I've seen several anecdotes by now. Personally I think, as I've already written, that the real problem lies in how many different pc-systems that you can install it on without having reedemed copies (either through uninstallation or calling some hotline), 3.

It is still just as reliable with children as with adults since it is just used different, she still isn't fat. It is true that BMI has inheretn flaws and the kid might still be fat, but the wii shouldn't be able to tell this unless it can measure bodyfat. I'm somewhat intruiged by Nick's comment as there are differences in bodytypes and Nintendo might have handled this badly or the parents/kid might have done something wrong.
-
I'm at the same time disappointed over him not making an actual game review but at the same time very satisfied.
-
It's for some strange reason easier for me to think that wiifit might actually have bugs (yes, I know, god forbid) rather than that the parents get off by lying on the internet. The thing that irks me here is that the child broke down because of a game. Also Japan hasn't been banned yet.
-
She isn't according to BMI.
-
Let's ban Japan.

Soldiers on duty is one group that will most likely be hit hard by this and I don't see why they should be shafted. It isn't so much the online authentication part that worries me but more the three-systems-without-'proper'-removal-of-the-game system that worries me. Essentially it means that you will have to uninstall all games using this system before changing system if you want your game to last more than three systems. I got over the online authentication part when I started buying games on steam as steam has a wonderfull offline mode, securom doesn't.

And you have been playing it for how long now? I would never question the validity of playing STALKER but what are you doing in that game? has it devoured your soul?
