It's so sad watching these people go "omg this is so much fun and I'm so excited YAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!" on stage.
-
So, when will we see Japanese hentai games using this technology?
-
Same here. While I suppose it's true that it's more exciting than a phone call, I get the feeling that more people will just take it as a new excuse not to leave the comfort of their homes.

Thank god I won't have to remember what buttons to push anymore, phew!

SIE: Everything looks better in the light of a muzzle flash. SIE: You're not gay are you Michael...? No matter, if you are, just close your eyes. Might not be completely accurate. SIE is hilarious, hehe.

I somewhat agree on Albatross. I liked him well enough but he didn't turn out to be a favorite (which I'd expected him to be actually). Sis? Interesting concept with a mute character but I can't say I get the fanboyism. Actually, I think they *have* vulnerabilities which is what makes them great, even though it might be hard to "unlock" in the game. Pissing Marburg off at the museum and killing him there is one of the most satisfying things in the game because of the fact that he appears to be the stone-cold killer that has everything under control. Similarily, you can also convince him to abandon Leland at the end of the game. Leland doesn't show much weakness in the dialogues. You can get the drop on him at least once as he won't know if you spared Shaheed. But again, I think the confrontation with Leland at the end (love that he just gives up if you get up to his room) is made extremely satisfying since he's such a smug bastard. The "how *dare* you hit me?!" line is just so damn great because it's finally Mike who's in control. He also scores points in my book because he's a villain that you can actually join (and you can betray him as well). Definitely agree that Omen Deng should've had more screen-time. His whole concept is extremely bad-ass and his reveal at the subway station (the music helps a lot) is awesome. I also think it'd be nice to have Hong Shi in a larger role, some simple but really great lines from him as well. "Oh and Mr Thorton... Beware of the man called Omen Deng." Love the delivery on that.

Louis Armstrong & Ella Fitzgerald - Summertime Beautiful!

What WorstUserName said. This is using non-tweaked files. If I get around to a scene soon where this is a problem, I'll screencap it

I'd figured I'd ask here since some you people seem good at these types of things. There is a slight graphical glitch in my game where character models look... awkward when the camera is a long way off from them. The most prominent example of this is meeting SIE in the trainyard level where there are some wide shots of both Mike and SIE. When the camera is a long way off, it's like the textures on the character models get messed up. I can't quite explain it and unfortunately I didn't screenshot it. It also happens in a few other places in the game (meeting Brayko for example). Could there be a setting or something that could fix this?

Generally speaking, I think they did a really good job on mixing the stats with the shooter mechanics. Action-RPGs are not my fav genre by far but I felt it was well done here. The guns feel fun to use but the stats behind them are still really important (though I wish Assault Rifles in particular had been a bit more "nerfed" at lower levels). My main complaint would be some of the "cheap" design decisions. The doors closing behind you magically, enemies spawning in at bad places (very noticeable with Awareness on). Some occasional moments where the game spawns in enemies after you complete a certain task (watch the enemies run resolutely to their spots and then stand there). Also, some of the bosses. I loved the set-up of most of them but the challenge of them sometimes feel way too... classically game-y with goons spawning in at side-doors, a bunch of missile-launchers placed strategically around the boss level, stuff like that. I think it would've been great if there had been more choices for the bosses themselves (maybe even avoid the fights entirely based on what you do in missions before). Or more options like I think they did a good job with the level design on the visual side. And ideas wise, each mission feels quite unique. But I would've really wanted a more open playground, at least for some of the missions.

CrunkJuice, that really sounds like it's a specific problem with your vid card. My first thought was that it could be overheating but I think what usually happens then is that the computer simply shuts down.

Feel kinda bad for the English goalie, lollergagz.

Those were the good ol' days.

Just reinforced my hatred of "gameplay" trailers for RPGs. I know explosions and all that are expected to draw people in, and it's fine that they show some combat, but I mean... The surroundings look good though.

Followed the game since it was announced. Was actually pretty pissed when it was announced. I liked the real world setting but I hated that they went the "action-route" and all that. Really ended up liking the game though, one of the most fun games I've played in a long while. I tend to really read up on games nowadays before I buy them, and having followed AP extensively I had a very good idea what to expect. Obviously, you never really *know*. But stuff like the gunplay, the action/skill point merged gameplay. I had a good idea of what to expect from that, and I had a blast with it.

Thanks for investigating all this, it's really appreciated! And yeah, would be great if you could have a comprehensive list on tweaks and their effects if you feel up for it. Keep up the good work and thanks for doing it!

Did a Tech Specialist run and found it a lot of fun. Also, if you upgrade the gadgets and use Overclock you can really wreck some havoc. With upgraded, Overclocked flashbangs you can stun a room and then run in and just slice everyone up calmly, it's pretty awesome. I also kinda wish there were more ambushes in the game where you get to set up a defense. It's fun as hell to watch people blowing up left and right, or getting set on fire. Hiding behind something and seeing all the red arrows go out one by one is very satisfying.

For the game, I hope this holds true: -
Obsidian making Dungeon Siege III

Dungeon Siege doesn't excite me in any way whatsoever but I'm willing to see what Obsidian does with it. Because so far they've managed to 1) Turn a game set in a universe full of clich -
So who is working on this game?
Starwars replied to Flouride's topic in Dungeon Siege III: General Discussion
So how long has this been in development now? Hello to all the developer peoples. Dungeon Siege is something I've not gotten into myself but I hope you guys can make a great game. -
When you rescue Mina at the end, she remarks on nail scratches that SIE left on you if you had sex with her. Can't remember the quote though but fun touch there.
-
I had no idea you could have SIE as your handler in Marburg's mansion.
-
Very disappointing, I can't think of a license that I'm more uninterested in than Dungeon Siege. Then again, maybe Obsidian can make something good out of it.
-
Still playing Alpha Protocol, having loads of fun. However, after this playthrough I think I'm gonna have to play another game so I don't burn out on AP.

Mina: Do you think the two are related? Mike: Does a pope **** in the woods? Mina: I... really hope not. Mike: Sorry, mixed the metaphors.
