  1. I know this is a bit out of the blue, but how long was your first playthrough?
  2. Wow. This is actually a very cool idea. Kudos to the person who came up with this. How many languages is this in?
  3. People seem to take Tekehu too seriously. I'd find his self love obnoxious if it wasn't expressed with humour and/or if he was actually arrogant towards other people/if it wasn't obvious he feels insecure/overwhlemed by what's expected of him. OTOH I find people annoying who others don't, so maybe he's just not their cup of tea. Maia, for instance I legit cannot get behind, so much so I didn't recruit her at all my last pt. On the other hand, I'm surprised that a whiney person like Alistair from Dragon Age could be so beloved by his respective fanbase. For Tekehu, it seems that the things that are funny about him get him disliked. But hey, I don't know the entire PoE fanbase. I only just got here.
  4. Ditto. But I also think even if there is one, it won't be the same at all. Then I'll cry for what could have been. I'm going to say something that will annoy people: I found both Borderlands and Borderlands 2 boring. I remember enjoying them at first… and then getting bored with them as time went on.
  5. I don't dislike Maia. And Tekehu's high opinion of himself wasn't annoying to me. Hell, a lot of it was played for laughs and I could get behind that.
  6. I must say that this brings back memories of me playing Dragon Age: Origins. I must thank Obsidian for making a great game and improving upon the foundation of the first game. I look forward to their future projects. I frankly don't care what Chris Avellone says (and what he said sounds like a "he said, she said" type of situation). I think I might even play Tyranny thanks to this game. What do you all think? How much have you enjoyed the new Pillars of Eternity game?
  7. Very interesting article. I suggest that everyone reads it. Libya's Main Rival Governments Agree to Hold Election on 10 December https://www.eurasiafuture.com/2018/05/29/libyas-main-rival-governments-agree-to-hold-election-on-10-december/ What happened to Libya and Gaddafi is quite the tragedy. People like Obama are truly evil.
  8. Didn't even know this thing existed. Perhaps I'll consider participating.
  9. Tekehu is definitely my favorite. Least favorite would have to be Maia, and even then I sort of like her. It's just her loyalty to Rauatai that doesn't sit well with me. I get that that's a big part of her character, but even so, I really can't abide by it. Nothing wrong with loyalty, it's just that I think she's fighting for the wrong cause.
  10. It's understandable. I know that there are many soldiers who are so done with war that they're anti-war. Hell, if I'm not mistaken, many vets voted for Gary Johnson and William Weld because they were anti-interventionist. Compare that to Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, who are both warmongers. We're going to get along well Gritino. Just a feeling. I think so too. Frankly, I never believe what the mainstream media tells me. They lie about America's "enemies" and they don't even bother with the anti-interventionist crowd anymore. So much for being fair and balanced. They've convinced a huge swath of people that Russia either "hacked" or influenced the elections and that Assad created those chemical attacks without any evidence. It's "weapons of mass destruction" all over again. And somehow Obama was supposed to be the "anti-war" candidate, even when he turned Libya into a hellhole. You can't trust these politicians. They speak in lies. Edit: I should keep this in the politics thread though.
  11. Frankly, I wish I could say that Dragon Age 4 had a chance of being there, but if I'm correct (and I haven't really been keeping up with Dragon Age 4) they've lost even more people from the team that was working on it while others were switched to work on Anthem. Which sucks as I couldn't care less about Anthem.
  12. Don't be. E3 is best enjoyed when you're not expecting anything. Absolutely, though I've only been able to get to this point by maturing naturally. I knew the hype was bad for my expectations when I was young and I hyped myself for months anyways. Still love E3 though. I think that's why some people hate E3. I consider myself to be more humble. If there's a time of the year solely dedicated to video games, then who am I to complain? I get the complaint that it's a "circlejerk," but it's at least entertaining. New footage, new reveals, new interviews… Basically, it's gaming Christmas. And it gives people an excuse to talk about something new. Besides, the reactions to the announcements are always awesome.
  13. Don't be. E3 is best enjoyed when you're not expecting anything.
  14. Isn't that Obsidian's other project? Yes, aka Project Indiana. I certainly hope they reveal it at E3. And I'm hoping that they give a release date for Pathfinder: Kingmaker. I don't like Chris Avellone, but I've got nothing against him as a writer so far. I'll play Pathfinder simply as an RPG fan.
  15. Isn't that Obsidian's other project?
  16. E3 2018 is almost upon us and with it a bunch of gaming announcements. I know that not everybody enjoys E3, but I have personally enjoyed each and every one of them. I never have high expectations when it comes to the event. I just want to see more gaming news and that's it. Doesn't matter if the games in question are stuff that I'm not going to play. It's always nice to see what's new. What are you hoping to see? Do you keep your expectations low, high, or somewhere in the middle?
  17. This video got me thinking about what we'll see at E3 in terms of the Legend of Zelda series, besides anything having to do with Smash Bros. Here's hoping we get a Skyward Sword HD reveal.
  18. One of my favorite parts of PoE 1 was his realization that he had been played during the later part of the story. I thought that the voice-actor did a good job conveying his anguish.
  19. It's a pity because if they just released this game as is, it would probably be an alright game. Maybe not up to everyone's expectations, but still good.
  20. lol Alright. Still, the mods seem pretty chill, so I've got no problems with them.
  21. lol I honestly don't know what to say to this. Funny thing is that I think I thought that he looked familiar.
  22. I don't believe that Star Citizen will "never come out" but I certainly am not paying for content that's a long way off. I'm sure it'll be a great game though.
  23. Yeah I prefer more meaningful content, do like banter and want but want meaningful interactions. Yes I dislike how fast some companions can go from like to hate and leaving. Don't get me wrong if you constantly do something companion dislikes then yes I expect person to leave. As for conflict with in companion yeah understand that but, don't think most would just walk out. Should really start conversation about the issue which depending on that conversation should define if person leaves or stays. I not going say more as I know there some issues with it that obsidian are fixing, we will see soon. Also think important stop the cliché companions. Want companions that are varied and not all similar and set clichés. As its spoiler free I use kotor 2 companion as example Kreia was great as she disliked force both dark and the light side, which was very different in star wars world. Because of way she was, it made you look at star wars world in a different way. Therefore an interesting character. Fav companions from pillars 1 Devil of Caroc Grieving Mother Zahua Durance (normally religious zealot wouldn't be my thing but by end of game he different person if you lead him that way) I don't mind religious zealots in fiction, even if I don't like them in real life. Durance was actually my favorite companion in PoE 1 because he was written like any other person. Sure, he's got extreme views, but that's why he's a zealot. Still, he had feelings and doubts. He also played his part in fighting Eothas. I really liked his backstory.
  24. Pretty much this. Besides, there are already enough voiced lines as it is. Seriously, Obsidian really outdid themselves with this game. I really love the conversations between the companions. Like I said before, unvoiced lines would feel unauthentic.
  25. PoE 2 is the game that I bought last. So far, it's all that I really need. After that, I won't be playing any other games until the fourth quarter of 2018.
