  1. You turned me on to Cornwell's Saxon series. But man that got repetitive real quick. Every book was essentially the same thing. In fact I'm pretty shire he cut-and-pasted some of Uthred's and Harold's conversations from one book to another. As for fantasy... forget it. The only ones I didn't hate were Tolkiens, Rothfuss's first two Kingkiller books, and ASoIaF.The latter two may never even get completed. The rest is just crap! When it comes to fiction, I only read a few books here and there. And that's only if they're very good. Otherwise, forget about it. But I can definitely give you some pointers on what non-fictional works to read.
  2. So what's the whole deal with Skyforge?
  3. Apparently the new Pokemon game coming in 2019 is confirmed to be apart of Gen 8.
  4. Man, that takes me back. I remember when I was hunting online for any MMOs to play. Those were the days. All of them looked interesting. I could play none of them though.
  5. I'm interested in seeing "The Man Who Killed Don Quixote" based off the name alone. Besides, I've read that it's pretty good.
  6. Here's the thing: he obviously must know how to work with people from all his film-making days, which is why he works well as the administrator of a restaurant. Not to mention he can work well under pressure. Film-making is stressful business, or at least it can be. Even if he made bad films, I don't doubt that he went through a lot to get the films he was working on made. In many ways, he's like Ed Wood in that both had vision and that vision probably carried over to Uwe Boll's restaurant.
  7. Another sequel. And then another after. And then another after that. You get the point.
  8. I killed Atsura. Can't say I really liked him. Same with the pirate woman who hates Furrante's guts. I had her killed because frankly I think they both should be dead.
  9. BioWare has gone downhill and I find them to be filled with SJWs. Obsidian is more my thing.
  10. I didn't mind it. Could it have been better? Yeah. But Obsidian is working with a budget here.
  11. Huh. Words fail me - honestly and unironically. Like I said in my previous post, you can still be a bad film-maker and have talent. They're not necessarily mutually exclusive.
  12. There's a book about WW1 called "Prolonging the Agony." I should read it sometime.
  13. No, he quit in 2016. But he opened a restaurant, so if you wanna grab some food and are somewhere near Vancouver... Thankfully, that's nowhere near my half of the globe, so I guess I'm safe. Actually... the place is very highly rated. Honestly, I think Uwe Boll has talent, but he doesn't execute it well. You can be a bad film-maker and still have talent or creativity. It's just a matter of who you're working with and how you execute your ideas.
  14. I actually see BG&E 2 getting released eventually. Not sure about Star Citizen though.
  15. It would've been better if there was a KOTOR 3 instead of SWTOR.
  16. That's the problem with the series: you have to wait a long time to get closure. We don't know how things conclude in the sixth book and in the seventh book. We don't even know if Martin will finish the books during his lifetime. I wish that he would have someone like Neil Gaiman write the books for him with him giving all his notes and his guidance, but unfortunately, that's not the case.
  17. Same here. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed the first game, but unlike a lot of people, I'm not clamoring to get my hands on Red Dead Redemption 2. I'm sure it'll be great, but Rockstar doesn't deserve nearly the amount of praise that they get. It'll be an enjoyable game, but once I'm done with it, I'll move on to another game and that'll be it. That's my thoughts with GTA5.... I enjoyed Watch Dogs and Mafia 2 more but GTA5 stole everyone's thunder. Didn't really deserve it but "legacy". I know a guy that absolutely despises Rockstar and while I wouldn't go that far with them, I can understand why. They definitely get a lot of attention, hype, and praise even when they don't deserve it. Nobody looks at what they've done wrong. That, and I think their games are needlessly edgy just for the sake being edgy. But hey, if you criticize Rockstar, you'll probably just be attacked by the Rockstar fanboys.
  18. You'll definitely learn a lot from this one. I would also recommend Creating Russophobia: From The Great Religious Schism To Anti-Putin Hysteria by Guy Mettan. It really explains a lot. If you're sick and tired of the Russia hysteria or even the China hysteria, this book is for you.
  19. Some game called Halo Infinity might be at Microsoft's conference, but I guess we'll see. It wouldn't surprise me. It has been three years since Halo 5, right? https://gamerant.com/halo-infinity-e3-2018/ Anyway, do you all think that Cyberpunk 2077 will be at this year's E3?
  20. OK, I've kind of stalled on PoE 2. Until I finish that game, what other games should I be looking out for?
  21. Same here. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed the first game, but unlike a lot of people, I'm not clamoring to get my hands on Red Dead Redemption 2. 22. I hope there's a Jade Empire 2 someday. Of course, it's not going to happen, but I can dream.
  23. Thank you. I will say that I like Ash vs. Evil Dead. Plus, it's only three seasons, so that's a good thing. Honestly, I think the problem with shows that go on too long is that they start to get progressively worse. Game of Thrones is a case in point. I stopped watching after season 5, but I honestly didn't like and from what I've read, there are many people that are starting to dislike the writing, especially for the seventh season. Personally, I think that A Song of Ice and Fire and Game of Thrones are both overrated, but that's just me.
