Well I have to say the game looks improved over the first, and in many ways I would want it to be improved. I would also have to say I am now eagerly awaiting this game.

Blackhawks RFAs may become UFAs Interesting. Some good players in that group and no way Chicago could afford to keep them all. Still, the hawks will probably only get a slap on the wrist, if anything.

Grabovski had 20 goals and 28 assists in 78 games. 48 points is pretty good, but I just don't think it's $2.9 million good. Like you said though, if he picks it up a bit it should be a good deal. I understand he tore it up at the World Championships for Belarus, and he played his best last season when lined up with Hagman and Kulemin. Hopefully they will all only get better.

For those who don't mind buying games from steam, it goes on sale there July 2nd, which should be anytime now, for $30 USD.

Heatley may hve only nixed the deal until he gets his 4 million from Ottawa first. McCabe did the same thing to the Leafs last year.

How do you feel about playing multiple characters?
mr insomniac replied to Kaftan Barlast's topic in Computer and Console
Come to think of it, it might have something to do with me preferring party based adventuring when it comes to crpgs. People gushing over me and telling me how chosen I am makes my tastebuds hurt Well, party-based games and games that make you play any specific party member as the "main" character for great stretches are two different things. I have no problem with having a NPC in my party who's skills and talents and/or personality benefit the party in some or way, or if I just like having them around. What I don't particularly like is being made to play that NPC as part of the story for great lengths of time. In Kotor 2, That would have also been fun -
How do you feel about playing multiple characters?
mr insomniac replied to Kaftan Barlast's topic in Computer and Console
I feel just the opposite. Within the limits of the character creation process in Kotor 2, the exile was my character. Although Atton, Mira, Canderous, etc. were good NPCs, I wanted to only interact with them, not be them. I suppose it depends on the type of game. If it's a role-playing game, and I can only create one character, then I want to role-play the character I create. -
This. Also by Kay: A Song for Arbonne, Lions of Al-Rassan, The Sarantine Mosaic (two books), Last Light of the Sun, and Ysabel. All great stories. Kay's Website if you want more details. EDIT: Added a link.

not being a canucks fan, i won't make any excuses for them, and i had to work so didn't see the game, but they might have run out of gas after a long layoff between rounds. i still think they'll take the series though, and i'm gonna say five games. anaheim vs detroit - if anyone can find a way to beat hiller, detroit will, and i'll take the wings in six. anaheim will make them pay for it though, and it'll feel like twelve games by the time it's done. boston vs carolina - boston will shut down staal and whoever else can score in carolina. bruins in five washington vs pittsburgh - possibly the most entertaining series of the second round. caps in seven.

I think it is even lower, but the monsters are realy realy hard for low levels... But i just dont remember it aswell, last time i played it was veryvery long time ago I thought an average 12th level party at least.

Got bored with Jade Empire, so just finished another play of Halflife 2 and episodes 1 & 2. Been quite awhile since I played the episodes so they seemed fairly new. Although the antlion cave in episode 2 looks great, it is cringe-worthy and tedious as hell. Same with the parking garage in episode 1. Please Valve, no antlions in episode 3! Oh yeah, and please allow me to kill squad members again, like I could the scientists in Halflife. Not Barney or Alyx , you understand, but those annoying citizens. Gah. Still my favourite FPS, though.

Awesome.

Maybe we could make a little list of all the choices that could change stuff in ME2? I'll start with the ones I can remember
-
Yep, you're probably right. Thanks

Thanks for the reply. IIRC when I first installed the original retail version, there was a huge patch (300+ mb I think) to bring the game up to version 1.3.
-
Just a quick question about installing the Enhanced Edition upgrade. Should I install any/all patches for the original version before installing the upgrade, or are the patches already incorporated?

Frogren and Hagman came back, that's what happened.

Have to agree with Volourn on this one. Personally I thought all along Mats was gonna retire, and when he did decide to play again this year I knew it wouldn't be with the Leafs. That said, he doesn't owe anyone anything. He fulfilled the contract, that John Ferguson Jr (may he rot in hell) gave him. He was free to do whatever he wanted, and of all the teams he could realistically have signed with, Vancouver is the best fit, maybe the only fit. From Vancouver's standpoint, they have to make a run at the cup. Luongo's contract is up in a couple of years, and the twins and Ohlund are free agents at the end of the season. Mats is a clutch player, and if the time off hasn't hurt him too badly, Canuckleheads are gonna love what he can do in the playoffs.

i didn't think any game was gonna keep me from playing Fallout 3 for awhile, but damn, this game is a blast. %$@^$#ing witches.
-
Wonder if he's gonna teach Avery how to turtle when he agitates someone enough too.

Leafs Trade Coliaccovo and Steen for Stempniak Don't follow the western conference much, and St. Louis even less, but more deadweight cut off the Leafs roster can't be a bad thing, and this may get Frogren some ice time too.

Carth Onasi is alive?
mr insomniac replied to Knights&Darths's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I equate it to the reduced role they gave jar-jar binks in Attack of the Clones. Less Carth is a good thing. -
God, yes. Time limts and escort-the-helpless-npc... who invariably moves at half the speed of your character/party, runs into the open to get killed, and does absolutely nothing to help or protect themselves during combat.
