  1. Payin' attention, Mothy? " Yes, I know, on both counts...just irks me when people have to get so damned nosey about other people's affairs.
  2. Differential treatment? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, yes, I just fail to see why the man's sex life matters. Just like with Clinton...It's nobody's business but his.
  3. no, just marilyn. taks <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I thought there were a lot more. They don't call Kennedy "the President who never zip his pants" just because of one girl. The story I heard is that the media heavily protected JFK even though many at the time knew about his extra-curriculum activities. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Why does it matter?
  4. Well, clearly we're on different pages when it comes to the value of a human being's life. Or any life for that matter... Agree to disagree? Nope, it really is too common...I really ought to get this name changed. How would I go about doing that?
  5. Distance doesn't mean a thing, we're talking about human life here. Same principle. And do the police have to show? Truth is, no. They may face the wrath of the media, or the public after the fact...and a few people may lose their jobs, but really, they remain unaffected, and there will continue to be a police force.
  6. I would think the frequent tornados may affect your state quite a bit......Inane, I know, I'm just tired. So, by your logic, if I'm sitting at my computer, and I hear a woman screaming outside my window, on the ground in a pool of blood...I look, and I see a man advancing on her with a knife.......I just mutter, click another link, and close the window? If only the strong survive, then clearly, this woman has no right to live, since she can't defend herself properly. Somehow, this is unacceptable to me. Oh, and please don't make the argument that "if she's American, I'll help". Bull****. And this IS a "in a perfect world" statement, but why the hell can't we elect intelligent, decent, good-hearted people into public offices? Why can't the parties just...I don't know...offer up somebody good enough to be president? Isn't he supposed to be an elite person? A representation of his country? Realistically, this means nothing, but still...doesn't hurt to wonder, or pose the question(s). Commisar, I agree with you on most points. Laozi, I agree on a few. Even Hades, I agree with a bit. Mothy, I don't dislike conservative christians, to each his own, I just have a problem with them when they use politics and laws to leverage their beliefs on others. Seraph... Taks, you mystify me. You simultaneously piss me off with some of the things you say, and make perfect, inarguable sense. Confound you.
  7. I find myself regretting being born in a particular state (FL)...and despising the one I currently reside in (IN). Oh, and to Raph..."You damned fringe world yokels are all alike." - General Edmund Duke, Starcraft
  8. For god sakes. Epihpany is right, there is a difference, and YES the 360's graphics out do the current gen...but, admittedly, not by "leaps and bounds". GoW is prettier than Colossus. End of story. There's more detail, higher resolution, and basically just all around superior visual quality. It's sharp too...unlike current gen games that want to appear graphically enhanced, who almost routinely apply a blurring affect. However...on the whole, this isn't all that impressive......any of it. I like the pretty graphics and all, (not more than story, except in extreme cases) but the difference is just too small for the amount of time it's been.
  9. LoL, yes yes, don't worry about it. I got it and, yeah, replied. As I said in the message...I like it :D
  10. Click on that person's name, and then in their profile, on the right a little ways down, there should be a "Send private message" shortcut. That's it right there. Edit: Er...make that "Send Personal Message". :">
  11. If that's the case, hell, just send it to one of us, via that magical thing we call e-mail, or better yet, just PM it to somebody here.
  12. ^ Case in point :D
  13. If you're looking for some fun, You can always count upon, Come and find the one they call... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What an odd, albeit wonderous reference. (w00t) I've never, in all my life, heard of that cartoon...........and leave Meta to his... :"> ...business.
  14. Don't worry about it It's, with the exception of a few people, a friendly atmosphere here, and I don't think people will be anything but honest with you about it. I'm sure they, myself included (and I'm not a very good source of critique, lol), will be happy to offer you their opinion of the work, and try to help you improve your writing. That and you'll never know if you're any good if you don't let other people see it. "

  17. Personally I thought the story was exactly the same, with the exeption to the Arbiter role. I mean, just introducing another Halo was kinda boring in my opinion. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Clever editting. Makes sense to me, and is well explained in the games....pay attention (Gravemind? The Elites being cast down, and the Covenant civil war? The Ark?) there's a lot more at work there...and it helps to have an appreciation for sci-fi. Trite sci-fi, but sci-fi nonetheless. Oh, and the novels provide a certain degree of perspective...as simplistic as they are, they still managed to be entertaining.
  18. If it's made from the game...doesn't it make sense for the movie to be at least somewhat similar? Given that it IS a movie, based on said game, I don't believe that's too much to ask.
  19. For your information, my toy is anything but little, and furthermore, I..................um..... :"> . New topic. Please. Quick.
  20. Interesting................well, not really. Just mildy amusing.
  21. I'll wager a guess that the reviewer may be female...
  22. All good advice...and since the first rule was subjective (Highly. I do my own stuff, but I like to create stories and branch off from the plots of established worlds. And I've been told I'm pretty good...If somewhat wordy.), no arguments here. And I'd go with Fanfiction.net if you want to do more fanfics, on different subjects. If you're just planning on KotOR related fics...stick with Kotorfanmedia. I've got an account at the former....which I haven't touched in...over a year now. I've gotten better. Word to the wise. Take your time, and never let the community rush you. Oh, and once you've decided, how about a link to your work? I'd love to read it.
  23. Short...Simple...Sweet. (w00t) I love your posts. And you're welcome to, Lucius, though don't be surprised when Money robs you blind, has a large convict beat you to within an inch of your life, and runs off with the local politician. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You mean like you did? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Please, not in public. :">
