  1. Step Brothers Overall I quite enjoyed the film. It was funny, a little over the top but it was a competent comedy. For a while there I really started to dislike Ferrel becuase he was in about 10 movies a year but I stayed away and I'm glad I did becuase it would have really hampered how well I received his work. I do have to mention that Ferrel's brother's wife in the movie was a horrible character. It was so overacted and just forced ridiculousness and it made any scene with her in it just annoying. It could have been much more subtle instead of trying to beat you about the head with it. There was something else I didn't like but I can't remember what it was. Either way decent flick but nothing I'd rave to see again. 8.7 out of 10 btw i'm on your side kor row row fight the power
  2. Supposedly there was some sort of leaked game code or someone saw coding for it or something but it was a long time ago and it's little more than rumor but I don't see why they wouldn't make one considering it's a pretty decent ip.
  3. I almost had a heart attack today and I still haven't done the hard part yet. So I went to school today to handle the bs that they messed up. Curiously, the parking lot was filled to the brim like school was in full session. Suspicious, very suspicious. Well I go in, it takes literally 50 seconds at both places I had to go to and I'm magically in both the accounting courses I need. Then I look at the schedule. Well who would have thunk it? University started the semester today while I still have another week for my other school. This is bad. Really bad. Not only is it bad that I have to tell me boss I can't work thursday, I also have to tell her that I can't stay for the full customer service training tomorrow. So I called but of course no one answered so now I'm going to wait another half an hour and leave a message if I have to and I'll probably die from anxiety. Then I'm pretty sure she's going to tell my other boss who is mean and then I'm going to get in trouble and get yelled at and I'm going to cower in fear and be really scared. Perhaps even fired, though I doubt it, though I wouldn't put it past them either. God this sucks doing everything last minute. This is why I don't procrastinate. I'm blaming battlestar galactica. If you didn't steal 2 weeks of my life I would have seen through this clever ruse. Damn you battlestar, damn you!!!!!! I'm angry.
  4. I see well good luck. I'm currently going into my second semester of my 3rd year and I still need roughly 2 years to graduate because I only take 4 classes which is still considered a full course load. It's funny on friday the business adviser at my work started questioning me about this coming semester. Felt like a freakin interrogation just like last time. I registered for a management 301 course with another professor even though she had one open with fewer students and she also wanted to know what area of bs admin I wanted to go into and I had no idea our school had areas of concentration. I suppose eventually I may have to straight up tell her that I have no interest in getting an admin degree so I can eventually go work at mcdonalds making 22(?) an hour. Not that that is a bad thing, it's just that I have higher aspirations than that and a good deal of successful ceo's made their start in accounting. But anyways good luck Deraldin. I believe in you friend.
  5. So moral of the story...bludgeon homeless people to death first then ask questions later.
  6. These meditation techniques Wals....perhaps you could indulge me on the secret of enlightenment. I've tried meditating before both for relaxing and sleep but I didn't find it very effective. And deraldin I always forget, what are you majoring in again? And 2 part question how many classes do you take a semester and what course work do you have left to graduate?
  7. Well it's that time of year when all the young bright eyed college students get back to school but I guess I'm going to be a little late seeing as the university is a bunch of incompetents and probably coordinating some kind of universal phenomenon in which I inevitably get screwed. I officially applied to be an accounting major 2 weeks ago which if accepted would allow me to start taking upper division courses. But first of course I had to get my transcripts and transfer the last prerequisite needed to get me into the program. I of course got my acceptance email yesterday and when trying to register for courses it said I didn't meet the requirements except for the fact that to be in the major you have all the requirements and I'm angry. So now I have to freakin go into school on monday with my transcripts and hope the classes I want to get into aren't full even though I've already waited too late for this crap. Absolute power, corrupts large capital generating entities into complete a holes. I'm angry. I'm also going to set my gym membership up tomorrow and I'm about 3 episodes away from catching up with battlestar galactica as well. I'm still angry.
  8. rofl pay the guy who comes into work half plastered from the night before on a regular basis more. awesome managerial decision
  9. I got back to work today after 2 weeks off and there's been a lot of changes. My cubicle hallway of infinite solitude has been ravaged. It's been....inhabited. Used up like a turkish prostitute then tossed into streets cold and hungry. It breaks my heart. We also got like 4 or 5 more lecturers and people I've never seen or heard of before in the office. The student worker next to me was someone in my math class and group I'm pretty sure but we didn't greet each other so it was a little awkward. If he continually works there I'll step it up I guess so it'll be nice to finally have a "friend" in the office but he drinks monster energy drinks so I'll have to dock some points off. There was also 63 or so missed calls on my phone and I came in at 9:50 even though I think I was supposed to come in at 9 but I saw my boss on the way in and she didn't mention it so I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do especially since I don't want to come in at 9. I also was hunched over filing for about an hour and 45 minutes and I still have about a stack of 150 more papers to go. It was an awesome day, especially the part where I didn't take a lunch break except for the 5 minutes I ate half of my sandwich and I got my work migraine but since there was another worker nearby I couldn't stop and lie my head down for 10 minutes. Awesome.
  10. wear a brightly colored banana hammock filled with socks or a very large cucumber and finish the look off with a wool sweater with a cat knitted on the front perhaps consider rolling it up or just cutting it so your midriff is showing so the hammock isn't overwhelmed
  11. I believe you've confused this thread with another Wals. I too have done the same. :'( Btw did you strike her? Someone should have.
  12. I'd suggest some sort of acorn crust, perhaps lightly salted and blended with olive oil to give it a nice rich and smooth consistency and then stir in some extra for crunch and just smear it over shrykes vital areas such as the neck and groin so the squirrels are highly enticed. Of course what the squirrels don't know is that it's laced with cyanide and while shryke is being mauled to death he's sown the seeds of fate for each one of those cute little fury guys. And of course in the event that shryke survives the initial attack the cyanide has already leached into his skin or open wounds so were covered on all basis. You can thank me for my tactical prowess later Wals, it's time to get the cogs moving.
  13. I shall quote a very useful phrase from 4chan thus making me a 6 letter word starting with an f but here goes: Copy Pasta Rolls off the tongue quite nice and very friendly
  14. ....You know Lady I thought I could trust you. I thought you, of all people, would understand a cats heart like no one else. But I guess I was wrong. I have indoor cats as well but I mean you gotta let them outside every once in a while. Let them frolic in the sunshine and tomfool among the birds and the squirrels and experience love with a cat from out yonder. To look to the outside world and know that they are unrestrained from the petty laws of man. To be free. Where's habeus corpus when you need it :'(
  15. That sucks. My schedule is going to be pretty lame coming up if I can even get into the classes. If I can't I don't exactly have a backup plan...I suppose I could take more college core classes which I don't want to do since I've already kind of put myself in a hole with taking too many leaving me mostly upper division courses. But if all goes "well" ie they aren't full (large stretch) I'll be taking two courses tuesday and thursday with an 1 and 45 minutes in between and 2 online courses. So that sucks. Means I get to eat lunch but still not cool.
  16. I'm on a marathon spree. Yesterday I watched roughly 10 hours of a mildly crappy anime and the battlestar galactica miniseries. Now I'm 6 episodes into the first season as of today and I'll probably finish this season tomorrow and begin the second season as well. So far I suspect about 20 people to be cylons.....you can't trust 'em....they're everywhere. In the bushes, behind the couch, scratching the sofa, meowing for food. Why do they have to be so gosh darned cute and furry. I'm so sorry kitty, no one can be trusted anymore, not even you.... :'( *gun shot* *fade to black*
  17. Just imagine Kevin Sorbo doing the voice work....omg I think my under-roo's would spontaneously combust.
  18. I had to pick my brother up at like 2 a.m. last night so I just stayed up the entire time and thought about the likability of me getting killed by a drunk driver. It certainly would be ironic I suppose in some way or another. Now I have to take him back to pick up his car this morning. Not sure this was worth the measly 20 dollars.
  19. I went to a carraba's once like 5 years ago and didn't think it was that great. The mild food poisoning didn't help their cause.
  20. Did that figure include remedying the numerous bugs? Zing!
  21. yeah man he could have died from deep vain thrombosis
  22. yeah you ever hear of a thing called deep vain thrombosis? you could have died friend I guess that makes you a hero
  23. This Is England The film centers around a 12 year old English boy whose father had died in the Falkland Wars and is also bullied at school. On his way home from school he finds friendship with a group of skinheads* and for a time his life is great. That is until the "leader" of the gang is released from prison and he tries to shed his nationalist agenda upon them. It causes a rift throughout the group but the 12 year old decides to stay leaving behind the person who really took him in. As a whole the movie was pretty good. The music was great, the acting, characters, and premise were above competent and I don't really have any complaints besides a 12 year old making out with like a 15-16 year old even if she was a bit of a harlot. The ending I was pleased with becuase I hate when movies kill off good folk and they didn't this time. I shall give This Is England 9 guys who carry machetes in their back pockets and who own a leather vest can never be trusted under any circumstances out of 10. *This is probably much better understood in the UK which why they kind of glossed right over it but in America skinheads are synonymous with nazis but really true skinheads (as well as in the movie) are the result of punk, reggae, and ska music and they aren't nazi scum. Well that's how it used to be anyway. Nowadays you can't really tell.
  24. Oh so now your an esquire eh wals? I don't suppose you also do crab fishing in the alaskan seas and nail hot chicks in adult film on the weekends as well. What the hell is it you actually do becuase I'm confused.
