It is a waste of resources to make a nuclear bomb safer when they are designed not to be safe to begin with. They are designed to kill and nothing else. The only way to make a nuclear bomb safer and make use of proper resources is to dismantle the missiles.

Maybe not Alan, but it is something that needs to be onsidered.

I read the first post and I think it is a load of bull. A waste of our resources. I think it is downright sickening that two companies are makingit a competition of who can make the better bomb.

As long as the weapon exists its not safe. It doesn't matter if it is in "proper" hands or was stolen. It doesn't matter if it doesn't explode accidentally if it can explode purposely. The result is the same. It doesn't matter if the detonation material works or not because it can still be used to make a "dirty" bomb and still have the killing effectiveness, but at a longer stretch of time. The very nature of a nuclear missile cannot be made safer without dismantling.

I read through it and I think that when the nuclear program is concerned, beyond completely dismantling it forever, is a waste of resources.

I just don't see the point of wasting money on making a better nuke. We don't even use the one's we do and if we do then its over. We need to either use what we have or get rid of them, not stupidly waste more money on buildingand fine tuning more.

There is no such think as a "safer" nuke. Win it explodes it explodes, killing anyone unlucky enough to be in its blast radius and causing cncer in those caught in the fallout. The purpose of a nulear missile is to wipe out life. Not just kill, but to wipe out life itself even after detonation. They are ugly weapons that are the pinnacle of human achievement. If humanity was smart we would never have developed these useless weapons.

I just got done watching the entire Buffy the Vampire Slayer series, from begining to end. Grrr. Argh.

I think the gaming market would be best if it didn't get any more MMOGs. There are too many as it is. I don't see how this is a good thing.

GoA. get a better PC now and get Oblivion and NWN 2 for it, and then when Mass Effect is released you can either get the X Box 360 or wait til it is eventually released on the PC, like Jade Empire, and get it then. Also you will be in line for Dragon Age as well.
