  1. Of course not, but jumping around like that as if he was hyped up on some sort of drug was just stupid.
  2. Besides Fallout is owned by Interplay. Obsidian has no rights to the game.
  3. That Yoda fight scene in Ep 2 was pretty stupid, but it goes along with the lameness that are the prequels.
  4. Microsoft buying WotC?!?!?! JESUS H. CHRIST! They already got R. Talsorian by the balls for not letting Mike Pondsmith the time to finish Cyberpunk v3. DAMN YOU BILL GATES!
  5. In Fallout 1 you can beat the game without killing anyone. The Master kills himself off of his own free will. You simply talked to him then ran away very quickly. In Fallout 2 you can never engage the enemy directly and still win. Mind you that is not total pacisifism, but hey its close enough for me.
  6. I'm with Darque on that one as well I would like to see the game being able to be beaten by a total pacifist. Combat is an option throughout the game, not mandatory in the least.
  7. If they can make the game interesting and playable without resorting to combat even once, then I will be impressed. I want a total pacifist option like there was in the Fallout games.
  8. My only concern is if they are going to use an established rules system use it entirely. ToEE, if not for anything else, has shown us how much of the d20 System can be put into a computer game. All it needs was a story to make it worth it. If they can't or will not do so then they might as well make their own system. Frankly I prefer original rules systems on the PC than trying to convert established PnP rules sets.
  9. If this is true then its Delaware which is a good thing. The last thing I want to see Obsidian do is a Bioware hand-me-down.
  10. I hate that type of games.
  11. This is getting stupider and stupider.
  12. True. George Lucas just doesn't have the balls to have the bad guys truly win once and a while.
  13. I treat each movie within its own context and story. Sure there are arching themeses with the original trilogy, but each one was a story in its own right.
  14. Thing is a proper sequel doesn't make the firt game irrelevant. Fallout 2 events are closely tied to the events in Fallout 1. The rise of the NCR is primarily tied to the events of FO1 and key characters like Tandi and Harold make their pressence felt as well does the consequences of destroying the Master, which is represented by Marcus and Broken Hills. Anyway this isn't a discussion of Fallout, but KotOR. The Republic hasn't fallen yet in my scenerio. Revan and his crew has yet reached the core worlds and I doubt that all the Republic's resources were at the Star Forge battle. I would say 70% of it was. Also didn't the bad guys win in Empire Strikes Back and they will most certainly win in Episode 3.
  15. I am not particular fond of Japanesse RPGs as a whole.
  16. If the game doesn' relate to the same characters of the previous game then its not a proper sequel. A thousand years later? What the hell will it have in common with the original then beyond setting? That would be just stupid and I don't think Feargus and his crew would be that stupid. It would be like calling Icewind Dale is a sequel to Baldur's Gate.
  17. No, I think I would want to represent Revan as truly evil and malicious, especially where Zaalbar is concerned. Force Persuading Zaalbar to kill his best friend would be truly evil, and Revan isn't above killing children.
  18. All minigames like that should be OPTIONAL and not forced onto the player. The gun turrets were pretty lame in the way it forced you to play it. THey should have given the option of letting Canderous, who is supposedly a well trained soldier and probably do a better job of manning the turrets than a scoundrel or scout man the guns instead of the PC. Also I think it was rather stupid that after the heated battle that the ship was automatically back at full hit points after each battle. There should have been repair costs, time spent on getting parts, repairing, and so forth. If the ship was in the red with very little of the bar left means the Ebon Hawk was about to go critical and go BOOM! There needs to be repairs done to reflect that.
  19. A doctor just might just help you. If you are at a major university they might have a student medical center where you might go at a reduced price.
  20. I posted this in the other KotOR2 thread in the Delaware forum but it looks like it applies here as well. Anyway This is how I would start a sequel to this game out. Minor KotOR poilers ahead so be warned: Okay, if I was making the sequel to KotOR I would use the Dark Side ending as the base as well as be immediately after the end of the first game. It has a ready made end boss for the second game for the player to defeat as well. The PCs would start off as Republic survivors of the battle who crashed landed onto the Rakata world where Carth is at, since he ran away. I would have Mission still dead and Zaalbar under Revan's heel. Carth becomes a leader of the survivors and gives players beginning missions to find parts, repairing ships, deal with the natives in one fashion or another, and figure out a way off the planet. They would use the Temple as a base, which more than likely piss off the One's people. A few Jedi could be among the survivors as well, so that way the player can start playing a Jedi instead of being 8th to 9th level before Jedi-hood like the first game. As the survivors get ready to leave a small dark jedi team come in to do a sweep and clear as well as turn on the disruptor field, ordered by Revan, where the PCs get wind of their plans of invading the Core Worlds, but in the process Carth is killed. With a new ship made from a mix match of parts, a small team of survivors blast off into space to stop Revan, Bastila and the Sith. Too their surprise the Star Forge is no longer in system for it went with the Sith Fleet, closer to the Front Lines to feed Revan a continuous stream of reinforcements readily available. Now, how they interweave the story that it has the same impact as the first game will definitely be a challenge but I know Feargus and crew are up to the task. I just wished that they were doing something original first. <_<

At least that is how I would start it out. Just a rough premise but I just thought to toss it out there. How would any of you guys start the sequel?
  22. Console ports aren't that interesting. Being designed for console really hurt KotOR in my opinion. If they made it strictly PC they could have expanded the game greatly in terms of skills, feats, and class choices.
  23. Predictable or not, its all a matter presentation.
  24. I mostly liked it for the cinematics. There really wasn't much substance in the other aspects of the game but it was my first PS1 game.
  25. I don't place FF series as CRPGs, for you do not create your character and the conversation choices (when they are available) are pretty meaningless. FF series of games are good interactive novels or CG anime (for the latest versions) but thats about it. FF7 is still my favorite. CAIT SITH RULEZ!
