  1. Oh well, technical glitches are bound to happen time to time. Its not that big of a deal to me.
  2. Why don't we wait til we know what it is first before bashing it, Karzak. Since we do know there will be a console version I happen to agree. Console ported over to PCs have always been downright sad. KotOR is not an exception.
  3. Unlike Luke, whose only action he got was when he slipped the tongue to his sister.
  4. You didn't notice the "Please Note" at the top of the page?!?! I think someone needs more caffiene.
  5. I think that if Windows XP went open source like Linux, Microsoft could focus on creating applications instead of upping the OS. They would have millions of other people tweaking their OS for free, making it more stable by standardizing the good stuff.
  6. Hey, I like Star Trek. Enterprise is one of my watched shows, along with Smallville, Angel, Red Dwarf, and Red Green.
  7. You know something, you guys are sounding like a bunch of Star Wars nerds facing down a bunch of Star Trek nerds. Its goddamn hilarious. Keep it up.
  8. I am all for that, but what I hate is when religious freaks come at me on the streets trying to hand me a Gideon's bible, yelling at me to repent, or discriminate those who don't share their views. Religion needs to be practiced in private. It is a private affair between the worshipper and whatever god he or she cares to worship. As long as I am left out of it I have no problems with Christians.
  9. What needs to be done for Linux is that there needs a single standard, code wise, for audio and video applications like Direct X has for the PC. If that was accomplished Linux would have a stronger footing on the market place. Of course when WIndows XP becomes open sourced like Linux, Linux days will be indeed few.
  10. I would also go with AMD over Intel. Both my systems are AMD Athlons and they work great. My older computer is an Athlon 900, with a GeForce 2 and a SB Audigy 1 it can play KotOR fairly well. Average 15 to 20 frames a second. My last Intel system blew up after a year and I have never gone back to them.
  11. 2 things. 1) I wouldn't risk a divorce. You should share the computer with your wife. 2) I would have more than just 120 gig of hard drive space. A minimum of 200 gig should suffice for a gaming rig. Believe me, 120 gig can get full quickly. My older machine has 160 gig total of space and its nearly full. My oterh comp has a brand new 120 gig hard drive that is slowly being filled with games, PDF files, and music. I would avoid Seagate hard drives all together. They are the Emerson of the hard drive market. I have had great long life with Maxtor and Western Digital. Beyond that it looks like a sweet system.
  12. Exactly Sammael. The closest to one to Jesus' death was 30 to 40 years afterwards while the most of the books of the new testament was written in the 1st to 3rd centuries.
  13. I use it as a diversion or when I am looking for inspiration for my own personal writing. You would be surprised what type of characters I have in my PnP gaming that are based on forum members.
  14. But it is so much fun.
  15. The funny thing is this. The Gospels were written after Jesus was killed. The earliest being about 30 to 40 years after by members of the beginning church. How do this people know what Jesus did or said verbatem after 30 to 40 years. How accurate can it be? The culture in which Christianity sprung from where not one focused on oral historical accuracy like Native American cultures. I think that with each telling there was a bit of embelishment made. You know, like those Paul Bunyan tales. Also you call him the Son of God, but that was arbitrarily assigned to him by the Council of Chalcedon (msp?) about 412 C.E. As well as his birthday being December 25th. Frankly if you take all the major Christian holidays you will find them happening about the same time of major pagan holidays. Christmas? Winter Solstice. Easter? Spring Solstice (or is it Equinox). These are HUMAN inventions, not because of some god. That is why I came to the conclusion that Christianity is a sham religion, but that is just me. There is no God. Just because we don't know how the universe began doesn't mean some god had a hand in it.
  16. Its just nuts.
  17. Anyone who promotes discrimination based on sex, sexual orientation, race, religion, cultural background, and whatnot needs to get out of the Middle Ages and join with the rest of us in the 21st.
  18. It ruins the overall story arc of the games in total.
  19. You know what MC, I think you are right on that. Surprise, surprise. Never thought that would happen. (tee hee)
  20. HA! In an alternate Star Wars game that I played in Luke was killed by slug thrower. I just wish it came from my gun.
  21. I still felt it though.
  22. Hell, I would be happy if we had the full camera control we have in NWN. That would be keen.
  23. Because the game might not be better.
  24. THey will probably use the same poor implementation as the original did.
  25. Unless there are significant improvements I probably will be passing the game by. The first one was good but it is complete. No room for a sequel, and games that force a sequel often tends to be bad in comparison to the original.
