  1. Well, Bio has always been moderated by thin skinned peeps and the developers their have a good chunck of hubris in them. Bio Boards are just there to gratify Bioware's ego and not for any real discussion about their games. Auto-banned is just silly and lazy. If they want to ban someone they need to do the work themselves.
  2. Ghostie, you are just realizing the common sense truth of good gaming. Nothing wrong with that. :D
  3. Or they could kept it at level 20, and still put all the options in the game. I would have gone that route. There are no epic levels in Star Wars so why put it ina game based on Star Wars. My vote is to keep it at 20 and no unnecessary power up. Just because there are a load of feats and force powers in the game doesn't mean one character should have access to all of them. Frankly, withthis game being at most 30 hours 7th to 9th level should have been max.
  4. Ahh Hades, that is not the point. The point is, like I said, if I want to get to just level twenty, or get all the way to level fifty, I should be able to. The game shouldn't just stop me from leveling up for no good reason. I don't want to be a god-like character, I just want to have the choice. If the power gamers grind to the highest level it doesn't matter to me, because it doesn't affect my game. Getting stopped at a certain level does affect my game, in my opinion. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> There are only 20 levels in Star Wars d20, and the game is based on Star Wars d20, therefore the max level should be 20. If you don't want a game based on PnP then don't buy a game based on PnP. Go play Diablo and get you level 50 character.
  5. When you have a Paladin/Cleric/Champion of Torm with a fully pumped Holy Avenger in Dragon Plate, things tend to die pretty easily.
  6. BG2 was easy, that is why I left it out.
  7. Not every game. Icewind Dale 1 and Icewind Dale 2 were not easy. Neither was BG1 in some areas like Durlag's Tower. I had a hell of a time in that place, even on my second time through. Ultima 4 and 5 was pretty difficult, especially in the final areas. Not every game is a cakewalk. Just the more recent games are.
  8. I am not lying, I am sitting. I had a pretty easy time with my Scoundrel/Sentinel in KotOR and my Paladin/Cleric/Champion of Torm pretty much wiped out everything in HotU with relative ease. Even the demi-lich was out of the count after 4 solid hits from my paladin. Also Malak was no challenge as I absorbed the lifeforce of his captured Jedi before he did, then I was able to immobilize him and sneak attack with several good hits. He was down and dead. As I said, easy pickings.
  9. How does my logic suck? Both games were easy.
  10. Yep. Yet all these lamers want godlike characters so the designers/developers give them godlike characters thusly make the game useless for being a challenge. Downright sickening if you ask me.
  11. Deus Ex: IW is not a role playing game. Its a FPS. When it is your skill determining success or failure and not the character's then its not a CRPG. I play CRPGs. That is the drawback of the game. Frankly I would like a game that has a good balance of exploration, and linear storyline. This is where Baldur's Gate excelled at. Bioware has yet made a game better than BG1 and I doubt they ever will, but Fallout 1 is the best of them all.
  12. The first KotOR was no challenge so I am expecting the second KotOR to be even more so of an unchallenging game. Especially with all the level ups to 30th. That is just stupid.
  13. Well, I think the idea of more levels are pretty bad. Yoda, a 900 year old Jedi, was only 20th level. Here comes TSL where you can get a 30th level character in the span of a few months game time. SOmething is seriously wrong here.
  14. As long as we can give honest opinions on things I don't have a problem with them. :D
  15. KotOR offered no challenge in the first place. WHy start now?
  16. KotOR was a decent game, but hardly the best game ever. Far to limiting in character development and creation and far too linear to be anywhere in that catagory. KotOR is a good cinematic CRPG and nothing more. I expect KotOR2 to be the same. Good, but nothing revolutionary.
  17. If there is no Continuity then there is no story worth playing.
  18. Never heard of the game, but then again I am not a console monkey.
  19. It must be a wrestling fan thing, but I never heard of the guy.
  20. Bloodlines will be crap. It is using a FPS engine, a lame setting and pisspoor rules system, and coming from the peeps who made ToEE. I'll pass.
  21. SPeed, accuracy, and all that jazz is irrelevant. Speak to me about costs. All I care about is the bottomline and how much will it cost me to upgrade and will it be worth it to upgrade. If not, then 64 bit is worthless.
  22. The plotlines of KotOR and TSL are more complex than what soem of the people think they are. Pay attention to the very details and take notes otherwise you will miss major points of the story. When it comes in deconstructing plot points and story hooks to discern what is going on and taking a look at the big picture it is where I excel at. :D
  23. What you guys seem to be forgetting that the Sith contatcted the Mandorians to rage war on the Republic, according to Canderous. Before Revan and Malak became dark siders. The Sith that contacted Mandalore and his people were still out on the Rim of unexplored space. THESE WERE NOT REVAN'S AND MALAK'S SITH that were in KotOR and the real threat the Council saw through the Force. Man, do any of you pay attention to the game?
  24. When it comes to linear and non-linear gameplay there must be a viel shadow that hides them. KotOR was a pretty linear game, but its cinematics and planetary order choice chnges some aspects of the game to give it an illusion of non-linear gameplay. Baldur's Gate was also pretty linear, but the fact it had side areas to explore for a while gave it that illusion as well. I have only came across one truly non-linear game and that was Morrowind, which has the illusion of linear gameplay if you only follow the main quest step by step. Anyway, that is all I have to say on this.
