  1. Yup. The whole team just collapsed after 2-0. After that half of them were trying too hard and overplayed which resulted in 3vs2, 2vs1 etc. situations and more goals.
  2. This just in: Canada f**cking sucks. Cursed olympics. Time to drink myself to death. or well, I'm halfway there allready
  3. First good day in olympics. Sweden eliminated from hockey tournament, we beat Czech in a thriller. Women's team win Sweden in bronze game aaaand we finally get a medal in cross country skiing.
  4. The new box cover looks way better than the old one.
  5. I'll go bankrupt. Alan Wake, UFC 2010 and Alpha Protocol all out in like a week.
  6. Now I just need to decide which version to buy... PC or xbox360.
  7. Those dreadful mudcrabs. I saw a mudcrab the other day. True story!
  8. Whole topic should be renamed to Volourn's epic battle against all critique aimed at Dragon Age: Origins without using the quote function.
  9. It was really short. In fact it was that short Black Isle made a free downloadable expansion for it, to make it at least a bit longer. Other than that, it was an okay expansion.
  10. Not really. I'm waiting for the hockey tournament to get going (tonight for Sweden). But the Finns ruined cross country skiing for me with their systematic doping. Stupid Finns! Good for you. It's not like anyone else does doping in cross country skiing... Smigun pretty much absent for whole year, comes and all most gets the gold. Team Austria's path to glory from Ramsau (sp) to Turin where they got busted by Italian police. Now we have such powerhouse nations as France and Switzerland taking medals in cross country skiing that has been dominated by Nordic countries and Russia/Soviet Union for eternity. Before them it was Germany that suddenly just started to produce world class skiiers... The only reason Finland got caught was due to our WADA guy not informing Team Finland that hemohes can be seen through the tests + them being amateurs at it. If you actually believe that most WADA personnel of each country don't tell their athletic commissions about the new tests you are really naieve. Some WADA guy said in an interview that they could see from the tests that pretty much every f**cking team was using Hemohes to cover EPO in Ramsau. Hehohes wasn't banned back then so they couldn't do anything about it...
  11. Fallout: New Vegas, Wheel of Time and unannounced game(s). Most (or all) of the team who worked on Alpha Protocol has moved onto other projects.
  12. I'm sure that someone in here remember who worked on that unfortunate project named Torn. Nine years seem to be eternity in the intrawebs so I couldn't even find my own posts about it in various (mostly defunct) boards. I remember Scott Warner (worked on IWD, later moved on to make Call of Duty?) and Dave Maldonado working on it.
  13. Or the best if her voice was supposed to drive the player mad and nuke Megaton just to get rid off her...
  14. I'm pretty sure the production time for Max Payne was at least as long. Wasn't it even longer... Edit: According to wikipedia from late -96 to July 2001.
  15. I can see you Matthew! Tell us something!
  16. Legend had (now it's run by Atari) a book forum for WoT. It was quite popular back in the day, though now it's like a graveyard.
  17. I wouldn't blame just Remedy for that. I'm fairly sure Microsoft had something to do with it as well...
  18. Being fan of the books (most of them anyways) I'm excited about the game, it just worries me that the Red Eagle Games studio is involved in the project. Since it's still quite vague how they split the work. Also Robert Jordan was (at least) at some point really pissed off at those Red Eagle Entertainment guys which kinda worries me as well... But I guess I'll have to wait and see.
  19. Books 1-6 or 1-7 (can't rememer any longer been so long since I read them) were good. Better than your average fantasy series, then the pace slowed down for like the next 3-4 books (pretty much no one likes these books). The last book (written by Brandon Sanderson) was great and there's still 2 more to come before the series is officially finished. The setting and the world itself are pretty nice and I've always liked it more than say for example Forgotten Realms.
  20. Sweet! I even bought that Wheel of Time shooter game back in the day Soo which team is working on it?
  21. 1 trailer and two articles and I all ready want to buy this. Reputation and karma changes are really welcome, nothing killed the feeling more in FO3 than when you realized no one really didn't give a **** that you blew up a major town. Hopefully there won't be any towns of amazing 6 people that a single super mutant will kill if you pull it there (RIP Big Town). Sometimes it made me wonder how those damn towns survived before I came along and saved everyone. Better and wittier writing is exactly what could be expected from Obsidian. One of the major let downs in FO3 was the lack of any personality by your companions, not to mention the god awful dialog through out the game.
  22. Yup. About 90% of the games released each year are more or less crap. Then there's the pricing issue. I don't personally feel like paying 60 euros for a game that I can finish in 5-10 hours and won't most likely touch ever again. I'll either ignore the game or wait until it's gets cheaper or see if one my friends buys it. Also how many of those getting pirate copies are actual kids who just can't afford to buy these games even if they wanted to. It's kinda hard to make these kids/teens/young adults not to get this stuff for free when it's practically just waiting there (especially when most of their friends are doing it as well). At least in Finland students are really low on cash and most of them can't really afford such "luxuries" as games. I had a part time job during my studies, so I could afford to buy games, music etc. But most of my friends didn't have those jobs for like 2 years, they struggled to even get food on their plates. Sure they did pirate games back then, but now at least some of them are paying customers now that they got steady jobs after their studies. Naturally there's those who just don't care. If they can get it for free, they will. And then they act like you are some sort of a freak when you actually pay for stuff you could just download. I personally think the way RIAA has handled music piracy is the most f***ed up way to handle it. Going after individuals as part of a fear campaing isn't the way to solve things. How about you go after those who actually released those products in the 1st place or the people responsible for all those (torrent) servers. These industries need to evolve, price their products better, do anti-piracy campaigning (other than just fear...) to reach parents and most of all release quality products. At least it seems like PC gaming industry is trying to evolve. Steam is a good example. Easy access to games, don't have to wait for shipping, nor do you have to drag your lazy butt to the nearest store (might be quite far away, if you happen to live in small town in Finland) and the pricing... For example 20 euros for Total War package, now that's hard to resist if you are even remotely intrested in those games. And it seems PC games in general are about half cheaper than they were just few years ago. Dragon Age cost me about 37 euros. Saw that Alpha Protocol is about 32 euros on play.com, back in the day these games would have costed about 50 euros.
  23. Deep Roads is fun if compared to the Fade part of Circle of Magi. If you get bored of Deep Roads at least you can go do something else, you're just stuck in the Circle tower until you finish it.
