True enough, I suppose. I personally only like Last Crusade marginally better than Temple of Doom, mostly because it goes out of its way and attempts to recreate some of the magic from the first, mostly by playing it too safe.
I thought Last Crusade was considered the greatest departure for the series. It had a more humorous tone with the interactions of Indy and his father. Of course, you're right in that it does attempt to recreate some magic from the first, but they definitely don't seem to play it too safe.
Liking Temple of Doom less because it did not feature Nazis, familiar mythos, and globe trotting adventure isn't about liking Temple of Doom less because it was different. It's about liking Temple of Doom less because it doesn't feature many of the features that caused people to particularly like the other two movies.
These aren't "complaints." They're features of the other two films that helped give them a character people liked. A character ToD lacked.
Trilogy implies nothing of the sort. Trilogy only means that there were three related works. Trilogy quite literally means "any series of three related works."
At the time, maybe. In the context of now, Temple of Doom is looked upon as the worst of the original trilogy.
Holy crap. There are people (emphasis on it being plural) that thought Temple of Doom was not the worst of the OT? Holy zombie Jesus on a cracker, this place truly is hell.
Yeah, it totally couldn't have anything to do with Temple of Doom's lack of Nazis, familiar Judeo-Christian mythos, or globe trotting adventure.
babydol, let us run away together. Away from all this insanity and those who stand between us. We'll sprint away to the wilderness of the web where we can build a love forum just for the two of us. Pack lightly, I can hunt all the HTML and PHP we need to survive.
If you elect me President, I promise to you that I will put a ban on all domestic research into zombie voodoo, viruses, and add another few feet of dirt to all cursed graveyards. I will vigorously pursue the development of anti-zombie weaponry, including high energy lasers and giant robots. I will secure our borders against Mexican tequila zombies.
I will ensure that we will never have to endure another zombie crisis like the one last year in California. It was irresponsible handling of the situation by the current administration that led to such a tragedy and threatened our country to its very core... you, the people. I will not let it happen again!
You cannot afford to not elect me. My opponents will downplay the issue. Some may even disavow the existence of zombies and call me a kook. They will only lead us to our doom.
Vote for Tale in '08.
Mass Effect won't be on Steam for any forseeable future. Jade Empire was released under Bioware, but EA hasn't put anything out over Steam. It was speculated that this is because EA is wanting to build their own DD store. I don't know how well that's working out for them.
On a somewhat related note, Atari was supposed to put out a larger catalog over Steam not too long ago (perhaps a month or two). Many had hoped Neverwinter Nights 2 would be included. But it's yet to show up.
I might. I have over a dozen games on my plate already and as many books to read. It'll be a choice between finishing off some of what I already have an expanding my collection.
I've got a few friends that like Fable. Here's the exact words one of them said to me.
"Fable's a good game if you can accept it for what it is. A decent hack and slash."
Playing a little Sam and Max: What's up Beelzebub. Not much. I've got a temporary card until my replacement card comes in. It's an 8400 GS. 64-bit memory pipeline. This thing is awful.
Yeah, it's like Zelda. With bland dungeons, nothing of value to explore, no decent puzzles, and no boss battles worth remembering. So, Zelda without any of the things that are likeable about Zelda. Or rather, a hack and slash.
haha, a game I 'don't care for' is lucky as hell if it even gets one playthrough.
He said "played the game several times," not "played through the game several times." Usually the inference is right for your assumption, however he might be saying he merely picked up the controller for the game a few times.
I just purchased 5 seasons of Dragonball Z from Amazon.com for $133. They're having a spring sale on TV shows. They are listing all but season 5 as 50% off, with 5 being 25% off. Of course, this is all the Funimation redub, so I have no idea what it's going to sound like. I'm probably more familiar with the Ocean dub.
Season 1: 925 minutes
Season 2: 835 minutes
Season 3: 830 minutes
Season 4: 735 minutes
Season 5: 615 minutes
Grand total: 3940 minutes
And is up to episode 165.
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. I know that like 2/3rd of that is just going to be characters staring at each other and glowing yellow, but that's insane.
