  1. I love my Warlord. She wades into the thick of it, hoisting the others up and telling them to get back into the fray. "Get off the ground, soldier, and get back to the fight!" Has the feel of playing a squad leader in a war movie. I think most adventuring companies and sellswords would welcome a grumpy general over some fop with a lute.
  2. Mass Effect Lots of fun.
  3. Hey, Ensemble's in Dallas. Hey, the video game developer I went to work with is in Dallas, too! What a coinkeydink. No, I can't speak of this situation. There's rumor and speculation on my end, too.
  4. I'm enoying the original Viva Pinata at home. I have the sequel, so I might give that a whirl tonight if I have time.
  5. Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise HERE I COME.
  6. I beat Bionic Commando Re-armed. Now on to Ratchet and Clank Future: Quest for Booty! Is fun.
  7. Bionic Commando Re-armed. Some levels are still devilishly unforgiving. Thankfully, the game itself isn't. I think I'm almost halfway.
  8. Got the final Dream in Lost Odyssey last night. I read all but the last 3 I obtained. Kaim was just too much of a Mary Sue to bear. They tried being fables espousing wisdom that only this character has. And the inconsistencies with the game world were too hard to ignore. They were pretty fun to read at first, though.
  9. Justify? I ****ing RAGE at them. The second stick in this game is the worst control I've ever handled. Melee combat is atrocious. You move the stick and it swings. How it swings and where it swings you're not going to know. I just played another hour of it and if the game wasn't so lenient with death (some equipment damage is only it) I would have a broken controller. There's basically 4 enemies, maybe 5. With varying attributes. A couple in particular are all but immune to ranged damage and explode when they die. Yes, that's right, the game is designed to make you explode painful fiery deaths just for doing things right. That's just the tip of the iceberg, though.
  10. The Darkness rocks. Too Human. It's an awkward combination of addictive and terrible. I played 4 hours and I have no justification or reason for that. Maybe the "terrible" is harsh. There is lots of room for improvement. But I'm not the target audience of action-RPGs/hack&slash games, either. Have never liked them.
  11. I just got my copy of Too Human. I suddenly find myself hoping that it's good. Edit: Or rather, I'm getting it tomorrow. -.-
  12. Just got back from Benihanas. Mmm, lunch of Microsoft's dollar.
  13. Man, this would be immensely long. I'll just name a few off the top of my head. Fire Emblem Golden Sun Final Fantasy IV-VI (PS1, GBA, and DS for IV, yes, I own multiple versions, have beaten none) Edit: And SNES for VI Killer 7 Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door Metroid Prime 2 Persona 3: FES (in progress) Lost Odyssey (in progress) Wild Arms 1 & 3
  14. I don't know if I can recommend Condemned 2. It was a seriously WTF game. Scary, sure, but it has Fahrenheit syndrome. Where the game starts off cool, but then flips out into some really ridiculous ****.
  15. Raise your hand if you like ruins! *raises hand*
  16. Think guy Tomb Raider with a cover system.
  17. Sweet, work just gave me Viva Pinata!
  18. Uncharted is incredible. The Darkness is FANTASTIC.
  19. In my new office, posting on intertubes.
  20. http://www.gamerankings.com/itemrankings/simpleratings.asp Diablo doesn't even make the top 200. Baldur's Gate II comes in at a comftorable 35.
  21. I hear good things about that. What's your opinion?
  22. Let me know if I'm missing something. The Composite/Component port blocks the HDMI port. Which seems to be a big **** you to people wanting to do HDMI-DVI and still needing the other port for sound. Is there an optional cable I have to buy to make that manageable? Looks like I found it. It's $50. Calm blue ocean. Calm blue ocean.
  23. This thread is inspiring me to search for my 6 copies of Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt. Hey, they were 89 cents each.
  24. You mean I trudged and waded through Episodes I and II for nothing? Is III really worth playing to finish this trilogy off? I was only in it for the cut-scenes. Xenosaga episode III is a significant improvement on almost all facets compared to the previous 2. They really went back to the Xenogears roots. I recall thinking to myself when playing the game "**** be immaculate, dog." Though, the big surprise/twist of the game was a bit silly, if you desire my educated opinion.
  25. I wasn't going to unbox the thing until I found out for certain if I got the job or not. I mean, they made me an offer, but never know what could happen during the paperwork phase. But the paperwork came back and checked out so it's unbox time! As soon as I play a little more Soul Calibur IV. Someone asked me earlier if I'll sign up for live. I'll use my free trial, that's all I can say. And finish Halo 3 co-op that way with my friend.
