I'm looking forward to hoping that the tactical combat still manages to be fun.
Asking that question actually depressed me a little. Because I don't know that my reasons are sufficient to buy it.
So, what you're saying is that I should drop my pre-order. Then I can complain.
Or will I end up in a catch-22 situation where if I don't buy the game, I'm obviously not the target audience, so it doesn't matter what I say anyway.
Fun how that works.
Yeah, I was actually going to skip AC: Brotherhood myself. Glad I did not. If it weren't for the lack of a change in time period, it would have qualified as a sequel by all rights.

Time's Scar. Really good adventure theme. Doubles as energetic travel music in fantasy games. (I now see someone already listed Time's Scar)
Almost all of the Metal Gear Solid opening/ending music is great, too. Been listening to Way to Fall, Snake Eater, and Calling to the Night lately.
I caved and pre-ordered. I'm sure it'll be fun. It'll likely fail to uphold to DA:O, but I bet it'll be at least as fun as Mass Effect 2. I love Mass Effect 2, so that's good, right? Worst comes to worst, I can always cancel the pre-order.
Well, I didn't realize it until after the aliens. It took me until Warhead to figure it out.
Aliens are better than trying to play Crysis stealthy, that's for sure.
Also, Warhead seems to be a lot more lenient about grabbing guys. Crysis won't let you do it unless he's looking straight at you on a full moon, while you make a goat sacrifice to the dark god Yzzzlpz'arl.
I guess I never gave Crysis the credit it deserves. You try playing it stealthy and it's really not all that great. You charge in at the enemies, using the cloak to circle around behind them, and strength to jump over obstacles to avoid or get the high ground, it's bloody terrific.
Singularity, on sale today, is a game I can recommend. Comparisons to Bioshock are valid, but I didn't feel it had large amounts of replay value. I rented it, glad I did so, but don't even think I'll buy it on sale.
So, it's a mixed recommendation.
