  1. It's hard to tell what's design and what's bugged in the demo. I mentioned it in your thread on Bioware Social, but I was having survivability issues with Carver. Until I put a single point in cunning for him. His defense jumps from 5% to 50%. Absurd.
  2. Missing the point, though. It's no stretch to come up with equal feats for swords that are every bit as fantastic and powerful as fire from nothing.
  3. Is that from the demo? The link seems to claim so, but that location is not in. Edit: Unless that's Hightown Night set for more light somehow. Edit2: Ah, that is the full version.
  4. Why use a 100% ineffective lock ? No lock will stop them if they really want in. They'll break a window. Heck, I could bust open a deadbolt when I was 16.
  5. Hot I mean, what a bunch of sickos!
  6. You have an account on a game developer's forum. I recognize you. You're a hardcore gamer.
  7. That reminds me of another annoyance. Auto-attacks are full fledged attacks. Half the time I press a button for a special attack it does not happen because an auto-attack is occuring. VERY annoying.
  8. I loved Hunter!
  9. DA2 only has FF on Nightmare, period.
  10. I play lots of games only once. Especially the poorly paced ones (lets front load all the boring stuff, YEAH) or the ones that merely aren't that good. There's no sense replaying a game if it's not worth the time to replay it.
  11. DAO did recognize new skills, assuming you weren't using a custom set. However, and hopefully this is because they forked the demo out before they did much with tactics, the tactics setup is stupid and half ignored. Surrounded by 2 or more enemies apparently means "the second combat starts and they're across the map." And healing gets shoved to the bottom of damager tactics.
  12. Rogue attack animations seemed jerky to me. But I consider that so trivial a complaint as to be barely worth the length of this disclaimer. The demo showed off combat and that was basically it. Which means I'm not satisfied that it showed much at all. It is kind of nice that the enemies don't wait for you to hit them with AoE at long ranges before engaging, but is the entire game going to be scripted encounters like that? Who knows. The icon system didn't help the issues with paraphrasing. Is it because it's so poorly documented? I doubt it. I was hopeful it would. But when DIAMOND "She won't be alone" turns out to be "she's with father" instead of my assumption that "we'll send the Darkspawn to join her" then I know that I have no idea what's going on.
  13. Both Overlord games. The first one was decent, the second was crap. The first one was incredible, the second was decent, the third I'll cut you.
  14. HACHI MACHI
  15. Lag between people saying lines is reported to be a hardware specific issue by Mr. Laidlaw. He thinks it should be fixed on the release build.
  16. I'm pretty, darn you!
  17. Chris Priestly confirmed that they did share it with other sites. And the site seems to be running fine now. Not as bad as I expected.
  18. Watch the XP turn out to be 1/20th of level 1's progress. Totally worth it.
  19. They're not counting one million downloads. They're counting one million EA account sign-ins.
  20. They're only just now coming up enough to tell me that they're down. Which is progress of a sorts. Should have had a demo on Steam. And any other number of file distribution sites to help spread it out.
  21. All that talky makes replaying a chore. ugh I know your story, Thane, WHY DO I HAVE TO TALK TO YOU AGAIN?! Pet peeve of mine. Even if dialogue and cutscenes are skippable, it ruins the experience of replays. Which is why I favor short and sweet or completely optional.
  22. Then why did I click on this thread!?
  23. Suckers
  24. I love the Sci-Fi miniseries version. :'(
  25. Why I oughta! *strangle*
