The Witcher 2
Denied my payment the first time, too. But worked the second.

What are you playing now?
Anyone here play the new release of Hydrophobia? Reception seems mixed, from very bad to surprisingly good for its price.

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS THREAD!
I'm fairly sure I have a similar number in BG2. Hell, I have over 300 hours in ME2 ;D Dragon Age: Origins 265.3 hrs on record This includes Awakening hours, I imagine, since they run off the same executable. I apparently really liked DAO. Fallout: New Vegas 143.3 hrs on record Mass Effect 2 116.6 hrs on record I guess I should spread those TF2 hours to other games.

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS THREAD!
About bleeding time. I've been wondering what they were doing since FEAR 3 was passed to Day One.

What you did today
Watched the final episode of Stargate Universe. All I have to say is Tethercat. Unless a book series is announced. Which is actually not unlikely.

Dragon Age 2
Her reaction to me Literally everyone can betray you there except for Justice. Only people who don't betray are the ones who are paired with the same demon as someone else who did.

Who hates Aveline? I thought she was great.

The Witcher 2
I actually bought that a long time ago. Played it and promptly forgot everything about it. I don't consider that a recommendation.

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS THREAD!
I had completely dismissed the game until I found this out about two hours ago.

No need, just right click on game --> properies --> updates. The game will update when you launch it. Or does your experience say otherwise?

The Witcher 2
I find myself browsing their catalogue a little too much for a guy with his plate full, lately. Ooh, Another World. Ooh, Gabriel Knight. I never did play Icewind Dale. Dragonshard is free! I never paid them any serious attention until recently.

Bin Laden is dead
Is it sad that I know of Gnome Chompsky more than Noam Chomski? Because I totally didn't realize the second one was a real person.

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim announced
I hear that being buried alive can be quite peaceful if you don't start panicking. But this kind of conflicts with other reports that suffocation can be painful. I don't really know anyone who has experienced it. However, since being burned alive is one of the two most painful ways to go, I'd say being buried is still a step up.

The Witcher 2
So who is going with a GoG.com pre-order? What free game are you getting? I'm aiming at Divine Divinity. Seems to be the best combination of recent/rating and I already have Gothic 2. I think the FAQ indicated that if we do the pre-sale tomorrow, we can claim the free game at that time.

You have to use offline mode, to my knowledge. There's a separate "do not keep this game up to date" option that's on a per game basis, but I believe that updates still kick in with launching the game. It only prevents updating at other times.

GOG Updates Privacy Policy, Will No Longer Use Geo-IP to Determine Your Region Basically, they're going to trust users to tell them their location. They won't do it by ip like everyone else.

That sounds more like realism than imbalance. Balance is overrated. The important part of FPS games is the roleplaying, I always felt. Make sure that you run away and die in character.

What are you playing now?
I'm being very ADHD with my Witcher run. I keep jumping into TF2 for a while or writing.

Mass Effect 3
I think they just wanted to appeal the "Cerberus sucks, why was I working for them in the first place when I wanted to kill them" crowd. To which I belong.

Did you know that nickel salts are carcinogenic? And that iron can be poisonous?

Movies you've seen recently
Saw Thor too. Asgard was amazing. There needs to be another Thor film. It's the best magic as advanced technology anything I've ever seen. I always rolled my eyes at that stuff before, but they sold it. Saw it in 3D and I'll say the 3D added nothing to it. Black Heimdall is my favorite, now.
