  1. Nepenthe had it right. The SNR with Bioware games is pretty ridiculous. DA2 had problems. So how does the internet react? Does it say what those problems are? No, it makes fat jokes about developers. The human race will be destroyed by GIFT.
  2. In my free time I like to hunt down the X-Men.
  3. I found out the hard way that there's way too many cutscenes you can't skip. Replaying a section for any reason? Using that restart mission button? Uh-oh, you'll find yourself seeing the ending cutscene from the last mission with no way to make it go faster. I'm not sure how I feel about the gameplay. It's faster, it's more hectic, it still feels easier. Biotic detonations seem easier and with a larger boom. All I need is Liara to drop a Singularity, then I'll use warp and it's like a bomb went off. Or I can warp, wait a second, throw, and same effect. The loss of protections on hardcore make this really noticeable. It's just singularity/warp all day every day. With an occasional overload. Enjoying it despite those minor issues.
  4. Bioware has restricted it to registered owners on release going back a long way. I seem to recall Neverwinter Nights. Even KOTOR on the 360. And that was just a UPC that everyone shared.
  5. Aside from Jade Empire, which I have recently gained a newfound respect for, I've never thought a Bioware plot to be stellar. But the dialogue, presentation, and characters are usually pretty fun. I can think the ending is absolute crap. I can hate the transparently forced attempts at provoking emotion with the kid. But I get a bit of chill at Garrus in the trailer saying "go out there and give them hell. You were born to do this." Yeah, it's cliche, but the delivery is perfect, the music is an excellent choice, and I've become attached to that chitin covered monstrosity.
  6. The close the door segments. Now I remember those. It was pretty sparingly used.
  7. There might have been infinite waves on those Geth flying things in that area on Tali's recruitment.
  8. Okay. There's no part of ME2 that did that, however. I think there was one planet scan mission with 188 droids. That you could end early by getting to the shuttle.
  9. For ME2, it has fun characters and gameplay. Grunt, Mordin, Garrus, Legion will be fondly remembered by many. And regardless of if you think the gameplay is whack-a-mole, it's still fun for whack-a-mole. If you like TPS games, at least. ME1, I'm the last person to answer what was good about it.
  10. I didn't like the first. The second is one of my top games of the past few years. The only negative I've heard about the third is the ending being terrible. It's still one of the better franchises of this generation.
  11. Launch trailer is pretty darn exciting. I'm hoping the actual cutscenes and dialogue will be as adrenaline pumping in the game. They were pretty good in 2, so there's little cause for doubt.
  12. One of the two main sources for spoilers loves the game. It's kind of funny like that. He's pointed out weaknesses of the endings, but he'll tell you that he enjoyed it enough to be on his third playthrough already. That's pretty optimistic. I expect to continue hating the ending. But I'll probably enjoy the characters and gameplay. Vega may even turn out to be likable and not Ashley with muscles.
  13. Vessel Water physics puzzle platformer. Pretty fun game. Puzzles are so far mostly easy to figure out. Except one bonus puzzle that would have gotten me the stuff for upgrades. Not the most stable game in the world. I have some repeat crashes doing certain things in certain areas. The crashes are turning me off, however.
  14. Not quite, Malcador. If you want full spoilers, send me a PM and I'll let you know whatever.
  15. Vessel released on Steam today. For the guys who like indie platform/puzzle games. Been really looking forward to it, personally. I'll try to remember to render an opinion in the what are you playing now thread today or tomorrow.
  16. I highly suspect Bethesda would take issue with you trying to make money off a mod project. I wouldn't want to see you get wrapped up in legal troubles over it. I cannot recommend that course of action.
  17. Avoid the usual spots if you're worried about spoilers. They've been trickling for a couple days, but a deluge is starting.
  18. I doubt any of the Cerberus crew will be allowed back on Normandy. For any reason. Joker, Chakwas, and EDI being obvious exceptions. Two are former Alliance, one is the Normandy itself.
  19. New Normandy walkthrough. Oh man it is going to be so depressing going to all the old stations and not seeing ME2 crew.
  20. Yes it does.
  21. Are Salarian infils using shotguns or what? Mine is not nearly as impressive as I expected it to be.
  22. And they called me crazy for buying alien invasion insurance. WHO'S LAUGHING NOW? Why won't my agent answer the phone?
  23. Yeah, I'm sure. Phantoms also have one. There's a special animation. Phantoms will skewer you with their sword. The Atlas picked my Krogan up and crushed him.
  24. I blame lag. Not really, I definitely underestimated Vanguards. I also found out Atlases have a one-hit kill move. I mean kill, no bleed out, just die. Who knew? I thought it and I were having a delightful boxing match before that. Rumormill time. Spoiler value: -5 no spoiler content, but might rage Spoiler value: 3-7, subjective spoiler content kept vague
  25. That's pretty common contest boilerplate.
