  1. It's easy because it's unlikely to happen. The only bundle of a Bioware game from this generation was for DAO. 1 game out of 4.
  2. There's no DA2 bundle. There's a DAO bundle.
  3. Krogan Soldiers can go head to head with anyone. My guy was one-shotting phantoms by level 8. They are insane. Taleroth most likely.
  4. DLC is always a money grab. Giving people DLC they want should not be reviled more than the rest. We complain when the DLC is lame. And now we complain when it's cool. Is the DLC well integrated? Y: It was cut to steal our money. N: They're lazy. Is the DLC character neat? Y: They're ripping us off with an inferior main game. N: Not worth it. Is there DLC at all? Y: Money grubbers. N: But I want moooooore. Why do you hate money? I am frankly convinced that there is no winning.
  5. That's more or less impossible. Far before release, you have developers with little to nothing to do. They get content locked. What do you do with them? You can shift them over to DLC or you can get them working on a new game. Either way, people aren't getting that new project for free.
  6. I was more outraged at Exiled Prince. That wasn't even free for day 1 purchasers of any kind. Only pre-orders. Day 1 DLC is not really any different from month 3 DLC. Sometimes that's what it is from a development perspective.
  7. You haven't met the wonder of a Krogan Soldier. Everything Vanguard does, but with better protection and faster attack. If you melee one guy to death, you can then melee everyone else with a single hit. You can two-hit Atlases with the right combo of Fortification and Rage.
  8. I'm interested enough to play it during demo. I won't play it after release. It's just a repetitive horde mode. Krogan Soldier's pretty awesome though. Running around headbutting everyone.
  9. Less than 5 hours? The Darkness was just shy of 6. I'm not even happy about that. I'd wait for a sale, but I don't recall hearing that Origin does many of those. Edit: Wait, what's this.
  10. I've been hearing some rather interesting things involving earlier plans for ME2. So much missed potential.
  11. The Hammerhead was a free DLC for everyone. But it was also included as part of Overlord, with Overlord having a new Hammerhead hub area.
  12. The story missions with Mako were fine, but they weren't fun. They were a solid C effort. You just snipe all the geth from long range while moving an inch back and forth to dodge. That's so far from good gameplay, if it exploded, I'd reuse a joke I saw on TV last night. Wait, I think I said it wrong.
  13. Somebody pasted together some audio-files in order to make it sound like both Ashley and Kaiden surviving Virmire? Why? Sounds too good to be a cut/paste. It looks like they may have intended, or at least considered, you to be able to save both when they did recordings. I vaguely recall hearing about it previously.
  14. They sped it up with a patch for everyone. Then there was an upgrade to make it go faster. On the PC it's not bad.
  15. I'll take planet scanning over mountain climbing in a fidgety dune buggy any day.
  16. Don't even joke about that. That is not cool.
  17. http://twistedsinews.tumblr.com/post/17749387890/virmire-debriefing Oh man. This would be so easy to troll with.

My German is terribly rusty. Beyond that it's English and bad English.
  19. Haestrom did seem like a genuine plot thread that never got picked up on. Like the angels of Klencory. That kind of stuff happens all the time in large works. They will be picking up Weapons mined from the demo.
  20. Yeah, I saw your thread. I double checked Origin. Apparently it's listed as part of the N7 arsenal pack. You get a whole new companion and they hide it behind the shotgun. Thanks for looking into it.
  21. Virumor posted that earlier in a spoiler tag. heh It's genuine. As far as we know, he's from the day 1 DLC. Which was reported at one time as included with the CE. But I can find no confirmation from official sources that it's still the case.
  22. Some fun numbers I just put together. Mass Effect: 10:26 Mass Effect 2: 11:07 Mass Effect 3 demo: 13:03 This is distance from start of game (right after character creation on 1 and 3 demo) to action. Not doing any unnecessary dialogs, but no skipping cutscenes and mandatory ones. I did use action mode for ME3 demo. This implies that action mode has very little chance of fixing their appeal to the action gamer. But maybe they make up for it in the long run. I also did Baldur's Gate 1 for the heck of it. 2:36 That's to one of the assassins in Candlekeep. I think more meaningful numbers would be time to map, time to player input, and time to combat while skipping cutscenes. If I go insane, I might try collecting those on future games. Insanity is a genuine possibility.
  23. ME1 presented evidence about Protheans and humans not only living at the same time, but having interacted in the past. And the entire setup for their plan was to make races reliant on the Citadel and Mass Relays. The easy conclusion is that they only harvested the technologically advanced ones.
