  1. Importing my melee ranger and multiclassing him to be a ranger/rogue (scout). As he progressed through the first game it would make sense for him to learn to notice the telltale signs of an ambush or trap and learn how to better avoid and disable them, making him a suitable scout imo. Also dual wielding pistol/sword because offscreen training montage and good fun.

  8. When a character reaches 0 health in a battle, they are knocked unconcious and recieve an injury. They can still be revived by certain skills, but the injury remains. Any injury past the 3rd means death for the character. Don’t die.

Rogues have plenty of utility and are excellent when multiclassed due to the utility (through some cheap/good DoT and debuffs) and mobility they provide Check out their skills by going to the Pillars of eternity Reddit and seeing the ful lalbum of skills. Seriously, he was complaining all of yesterday in threads that weren’t even his own at one point. F off rogues are weaker in deadfire then POE1 easily - no reckless assualt (-6 accuracey and 20% damage i think) - sneak nerfed to 30% - Deathblows nerfed to 50% - No accuracey stacking talents anymore so no more critting like POE1 And are you waiting for it.............listen to this one: - Rogues get only 1 high level ability and all it does is let you make an attack then go invisible for 5 secs AND CHANTERS CAN SUMMON FRICKEN DRAGONS YEP THATS RIGHT DRAGONS!! If you look at only a single class rogue and ignore all of their subclasses, sure they are weaker, but claiming they are “not viable” anymore is just false. Rogues role in this game is no longer just flat out damage, even though it says so on the tin (The Trickster and Streetfighter classes probide excellent bonuses compared to their maluses in my opinion. Even the assassin class can provide any class with bonus penetration and crit damage at the start of a fight, not to mention the 15% increase to damage dealt/taken which is awesome for a backliner) Rogues may not get the most end-game skills for a single class, but they are not useless. I still recommend that they be multiclassed, as I stated in my previous post, but they are a fine class. If you want more damage, sure there are other options, but rogues are still completely viable, even on POTD

  12. If you switch to dual wield weapons, it will help. If you switch to a single weapon or a 2h weapon, the talent won't apply so you get the full switch recovery
  13. Two Weapon Style reduces recovery time, which means it reduces reload. As I showed in my previous posts, Action speed and Recovery time are inversely proportional. -What does this mean? It means that higher action speed is a lower recovery time (aka lower reload time) and vice versa -This also means that lower recovery time/higher action speed is good **** and will help you fire faster. This means that Two Weapon style will help you with your build. It affects both action speed and recovery time. (In a weird, roundabout way that makes sense becase math and stuff)
  14. The quotes I used are more recent. They are from today, so it's the most recent iteration of the beta. Why you gotta keep fighting me on this dude. It's like you don't want the talent to benefit your build =/

  16. There's no reason rangers have to be played at range though. There's even a subclass for melee rangers. Melee rangers are the only rangers.
  17. This was said by a tester on the backer beta forums this same day. Boeroer, who has hundreds of hours (Who knows, he may even reach a thousand) in the beta confirmed this, and even states that skills that increase action speed reduce reload. This is how it works in the beta. Can't possibly make it clearer than this, friend.
  18. Action speed is inverse to recovery. Higher action speed=lower recovery. Reloading is a type of recovery. This means your guns will reload faster as well. this is completely incorrect guns dont have recovery they have reload so if two handed style effects recovery it will do nothing This is exactly how it worked in the beta. Whether you believe me or not is up to you. Enjoy yourself.
