  1. Not quite sure about Mandalore, but I completely agree with regards to Coruscant and Alderaan. Anyway, my preferred list of featured planets include: Coruscant (beginning and finale) Alderaan Myrkr Nar Shaada Kashyyyk These are the initial worlds, but we also need some Sith worlds. Among those I could see: Ch'hodos or perhaps Korriban Khar Shian (moon of Khar Delba) Ziost <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Seeing as the Mandalorians will be a big part of the next game(most likely), no doubt there home planet should make a return. It's Canderous ruling place, where he can gather all to him. You must understand that Canderous is a king, not just a lone Mercenary anymore. Boba Fett is now in Canderous same position. Kashyyk has nothing to offer to the Sith War. We explored everything that needed to be explored in KOTOR. Perhaps a Cameo appearance would be fine. Nar Shadda: Clearly you must not be looking at this game as the end of the series, nor as an epic struggle between the true Sith and Republic and all your sith planets are outer rim worlds, not unknown region.
  2. Naga Sadow's ship was destroyed during the Sith War. Anyway, time for me to transfere my ideas from the other thread to here. Planets: Coruscant Mandalore Alderaan Hapes/Cinnagar Yavin 3 unknown region Party Members: Bastila Jolee Mira Bothan Senator Dustil Onasi HK-47 T3-M4 Atton Sith Trooper The way it works is simple for the possible dead character. If you chose Dark side, characters like Jolee and Bastila are switched to new characters. Non-Party Members/returning characters Cassus Fett Mandalore Carth Onasi Admiral Dodonna Master Vima(Vima Sunrider, not so hard to make her just Master Vima if needed) Handmaiden-lightside Visas Marr-lightside Mical-lighside Force Ghost Kreia New Species Mandallian Togorian Caamassi Feeorin Bothan Falleen Other Stuff Influence System that allows for influence regardless of alignment Better continuity Epic Story, with a good ending Also the final end of te Exchange,Genoharden, Cerka
  3. An influence system that allows for influence regardless of alignment
  4. 3 must see planets I believe are Coruscant,Mandalore, and Alderaan.
  5. There's no continuity error. The Sith rule the galaxy some time between 3000 years to 2000 years before TPM. Then the New Sith Wars start, and the Jedi overthrow them. The republic was shattered, as was the order, and both were rebuilt.
  6. Well Revan was actually trying to prepare the Republic for war, not destroy it. With his massive fleet, and the Republic under his control he could destroy the true sith once and for all. Of course as we know his plans got ruined by Malak,Bastilia, and the Jedi Council. Mind whiped he couldn't remember what he did, and he ended up destroying everything he needed to destroy the True Sith. Probably for the better, but for the worse as well.
  7. and what's all that bull**** mean? I already knew Kreias plan, but like I said, for her own ****ING mouth, she wished to get all her enemies out in the open so they could be destroyed. And um, lightside might be canon, but the events on lightside might not be cannon. Therefore not all the party members might have become Jedi, and also just becuase Mical or Handmaiden, MIGHT, become great Jedi and sit on councils doesn't mean one DAMN thing in KOTOR 3. There aren't going to be any councils or orders in KOTOR 3, perhaps afterwards, but not during.
  8. However the catch is that the Mandalorians would of conquered the Republic without Jedi Intertevention, and would of become even stronger with the combined power of their race and the Republic. So unless the True Sith were counting on Jedi, or rather Revan to intervene then it makes no sense for them to encourage the Mandalorians along. Also note that Palpatine orchestrated both wars, with the Clone wars paving the way for the Galactic war to further cement his power in every corner of known space. He planned all that, now why wouldn't Revan have the same strategic forethought? I'll go along though and assume the True Sith predicted the Jedi's involvement, however if they had enough foresight for this then surely they would had the foresight to see that by allowing the Jedi to go war they would be strengthening the Jedi Order. Revan and the Exile become the two most powerful Jedi(or para-sith, not True Sith) in the known galaxy within the span of 10 years. Imagine how much more powerful it would of become in the next 50 years with Revan and the Exile teaching hundreds of new padawans? Sure alot of Jedi died in the two wars, but most of them were the weak ones, untrained in battle. Niether Revan nor the Exile(who are niether extremist Sith or Jedi, seeing as the facts say that even being totally DS they still strive to keep the Republic intact and in fighting form) would allow new students to be unlearned in the ways of battle. So if the True Sith are responsible for encouraging the Mandalorians then either way they ****ed themselves. Regardless, you never gave any reasons why Revan wouldn't scheme the two wars the way I posted previously besides "IT sure wasn't Revan". <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Aye. I've always been partial to the Revan/Palpatine parallel. However I do think KotOR 2 is trying to imply that was the True Sith who went to the mandalorians - despite the flaws in that logic that you've picked out. *Shrug* Who knows. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Actually there is no flaw in logic. The Sith foresaw everything, all Revan,Malak, and Exile did was make things worse. Revan wanted to prepare the Galaxy, but Malak didn't want that. Now Revan's plan went totally wrong when he was captured. Once he found out who he was, he still didn't remember his reasons for going Sith, only the revenge he felt in destroying Malak. Thus his super weapon is destroyed, and a good number of Sith are destroyed. Exile gets the Jedi Masters, and the remaining Revan/Malak Sith out in the open, and they are destroyed. The True Sith are smart, look at how they played the game. Revan, The Mandalorians, Exile, Kreia, all tools to soe the great sceme together. I'm sure their are some flaws, but either way the game is won, and no one stands in the True Sith way thanks to the Great Jedi like Revan and Exile.
  9. It wasn't Revan, it was the True Sith. This is implied in KOTOR 2. The games says this some, look at it. The point was for the True Sith to set up their enemies so that when the time was right to attack, they wouldn't be around. Revan caught on to the ploy, and descided to prepare the Republic for war, but it looks like the True Sith were even more ready for that. Then Kreia and Exile come along and get the last of their enemies out in the open, and slay them. Now the Republic is a Sith playing field, ready and ripe for the picking.
  10. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't think it's a smart move to have Talia as a party member. She is Queen of Onderon, nothing more, and she should stay that way.
  11. Another idea, well a story idea, and because it's a story Idea I know it will never be used, but I just have to get if out of my mind. It involves the Mandalore, and it's a scene during a great fleet battle between the Sith and the Republic and allies. The Allies are taking heavy fire, and can't seem to break through the Sith line, one of the reasons being because of one of the Sith super flagships causing some devastating damage. Carth com's Mandalore, whos fighting on his Basilisk, and asks if the Mandalorians can take the ship out. Mandalore's forces are tied up as it is, but upon looking at the damage the ship is doing he descides to take the ship on himself. He flys straight toward the thing, flanked by two other Basilisk that clear his path before pulling off, and he alone flys over the haul, evading fire, toward the bridge. The Sith commander isn't impressed at the stupidity of the Mandalorian coming his way, and doesn't feel they are in any danger. He tells his crew to only use a few guns to target the Basilisk, and to continuie the focus of the rest of the guns on the main fleet. Clearly the Sith commander does not know that Mandalore's personal War Droid does not have the regular generator rods, but instead a modified version of the MX(a weapon that Mandalore the Indomitable looted from Mandalore in the Sith War) in it's place. The weapon powers up and fires directly at the bridge. The Sith commander is stunned by the power of the blast, but belives the shield held, that is until he's told otherwise by his crew chief. The blast left a big enough hole in the shield for Mandalore to fire a compression bomb right at the view port. The, less looking bug, bomb attaches to the view port of the bridge, and everyone aboard knows what is about to happen next. Which a grand explosion the bridge is blown off, and the Sith ship begins role away. Seeing the event just happen, Carth is clearly surprised, and gets a,"Did you see that Carth, " from Admiral Dodonna before interupted by Mandalore. Who simply says,"There's your hole Onasi." Only a Mandalorian could pull off such a daring attack. Of course this is my attempt to have the Mandalore/Canderous, do one super great thing. I'd like to have Canderous remembered for something of impossible standards. He is Mandalore after all.
  12. No problem, I have a thread called Mandalorian history located on of the forums.
  13. because your going by theory, I'm going by what's in teh game. Revan joined the Mandalorians Wars because he knew the Republic needed the Jedi, and that the Jedi could stop the Mandalorians. After the war, Revan began to figure that something else was behind the Mandalorian Wars, and thus felt that by having the Star forge and becoming a Sith, he would be able to prepare the Republic for a war against the Sith. Revan wasn't like Palpatine he was like Thrawn, and was only fighting the Republic to prepare it for war. The true sith are the true enemy all along, not Revan, the Mandalorians, Nihilus, Kreia, or Malak. They did played everyone in an attempt to have their enemies destroyed. Now the mandalorian, the Jedi, are to weak to stand against them. They can enter the galaxy now and the Republic couldn't stop them.
  14. Ah, well, that may be the case. Personally, I've not met enough Aussies and Kiwis to be able to tell the difference (I'd imagine you'd have same trouble distinguishing Glaswegian and Edinburgh accents ). I just had a thought, though. If Jango Fett is the last Mandalorian, and therefore the only one eligible for the position, shouldn't he be called Mandalore? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Jango was Mandalore why he was leading the Mercenaries, but when he and the last of the Mandalorian mercs died, there wouldn't be another Mandalore until Spar(a Arc clone of Jango) went to PLANET Mandalore and was given the title Mandalore the Resurrector. Which means he would be the one who would resurrect the Mandalorian Supercommandos out of the decendents of the Mandalorian people. Spar went wako, and the title of Mandalore went to Fenn Shysa; who was a Mandalorian commando who faught under Spar in the Clone Wars. When Fenn died, Boba Fett became Mandalore, and he is still Mandalore in present continuity, and was last seen leading the Mandalorian army against the Yuuzhan Vong.
  15. The question of a Revan and Malak not beign used because the player wouldn't understand if not played KOTOR 1/2, is mute. There are a 1000 games that have sequels that use the,"You want to know more, play the other games" method. This is no different. Same thing as going to see a Star Wars movie, but not seeing any of the others.
  16. First of, I'm surprised you seem so hellbent on killing off every single jedi in existence. Why is that? Surely there a few left. It's also seems rather double standard to demand that every single on of them is dead and then make a particular exception for Jolee just because you like him. I like Jolee too, but other people like Nomi or Juhani or whomever and your preferences is no better (or worse) than anyone else's... nor is mine. Also, it's similar double standard to say that Atton, Bao-Dur, etc. cannot be presumed to be jedi because that is player choice and then proceed to call Revan, Bastila and the Exile Jedi - if you chose dark side endings so far then they are all Sith and not Jedi, and that choice is just as legitimate as turning your companions in KotOR2 into jedi - they can all be presumed to be jedi just as much as Revan, Bastila and the Exile can be presumed to be light side. Finally, you're reading what you want to read from my post and not what I wrote. I specifically said "knights-made-masters due to necessity", which more than implies a group of very inexperienced jedi working together to reestablish the order in some form and who *call* themselves the high counsel. They would, however, be neither masters or high council in the way those terms would be taken before the Sith War or similar. Yes, I incorrectly mentioned master Arca when I meant to say master Thon (the big ox-like creature that trained Nomi). Mea culpa. I have apparently also mistaken the reference to which Vima was meast in the source mentioned. Still not sure, but I'll take your word for it. Still, if she is Vima's grandchild, then it does seem to suggest that Vima Sunrider must have lived through the events were talking about... I'd pretty much go along with that. I'd still say there might be a few jedi left, but not to the extent that they can put up much or indeed any king of a fight if the Sith began a concentrated invasion of the republic. If KotOR1 ended with the dark side ending, then Jolee is dead and neither Revan nor Bastila are jedi. If KotOR2 ended with the dark side ending then neither is the Exile (or he cannot be called a jedi since he just steals the force from others - if there is no force to steal, then he'll have no jedi powers at all), so if we're going to take things to the level you suggest then the game must be renamed since there are likely no jedi - no knights - left at all, unless you suggest that the light side endings of the previous games, particularly the first, should just be assumed and forced on the game - personally I wouldn't want that (though I do tend to play light side...). Kreia hated the force - she didn't much care about the struggle between the jedi and the sith. And the game is called "Knights of the Old Republic", so we must have jedi *knights* in it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well KOTOR 2 the rest of the Jedi dieing on Katarr, that was the point. There were 100 Jedi left after the Jedi Civil War, and they were mostly killed on Katarr itself. I'm not saying all are dead, Revan,Exile,Bastila,Jolee(and I meant fan favorite, not just because I like him, because the majority likes him, more so than Juhani, so you pick which one is the most likely to return) There will me no council in KOTOR 2, because it doesn't fit. We're not going to open the game being sent on a mission my an invisible council. Revan is in the outer rim, Exile has gone after him, Bastila is doing something else, and etc. The temple is empty, and what Jedi are left are scattered. And we're talking about only a possible 10-15 Jedi left in the galaxy, and that's counting the possible KOTOR 2 party members. So to have a council in the game would be a LOL statement. This is not how the story plays out. A council, and order is meant for AFTER KOTOR 3, not during. Let the war end before going back into rebuilding, becuase most people rebuild after WARS. Vima can be alive, and some other as well, but they aren't going to form a council, they aren't ignorant. They are going to meet to descide what they must do about the Sith, and that will be all. Vima Da-Boba was only 200 years old during Dark Empire, she is the greatest grandchild. LFL license has already chosen lightside for KOTOR, they always choose lightside, so I go with lightside. And Kreia wanted to get all her enemies out in the open so they could be destroyed. The Exile accomplished this for her. He got the High Council in one place, and he helped destroy the remaining Malak/Revan Sith. And who says there won't be Jedi knights? There just won't be an order or a council.
  17. I think it's clearly implied in KOTOR 2 that the True Sith are the one's who came to the Mandalorians with an offer. IT sure wasn't Revan, and his Revan/Malak sith. The true sith didn't want a race like the Mandalorians to get in their way since the Mandalorians are the best warriors in the galaxy. The Sith are good at setting the game board, just like Palpatine did with the Clone Wars. They weaken their enemies so that when it comes time to take over, no one will stand against them, ever.
  18. Because all the Jedi are dead, and there is no council. To have a council is to dwindle the meaning of KOTOR 2, which was to destroy the Jedi, and it did. Kreia got all the masters in one spot, and sucked them dry. IF YOU have played KOTOR 2 you'd know that there were less than 100 Jedi at the end of the War of the Star Forge. Those Jedi died on Katarr, and with them the flame of the Jedi went out. Now only a very few are alive. Bastila, Revan, Exile, are the only offical Jedi that are still alive at the end of KOTOR 3. We don't know the fate of the KOTOR 2 characters, and you can't say they all became Jedi, and you don't even know if some of them even died. So therefore you can just say, Atton,Boa-Dur, and Handmaiden are Jedi because you don't know that. There will be no order, council in the next game, because if there is then what was the point of KOTOR 2's set up to 3. With the Jedi gone the True Sith will attack the Republic, because this was the plan from the start. KOTOR 3 will not be about new councils, or a Jedi order. It will be about a very week Jediless republic vs the True Sith. Save a game for new orders and jedi for after KOTOR 3, becuase it fits much better. DEWAYBE: The High council was the council that was destroyed in KOTOR 2. That council was located on Coruscant. There were only 3 council members left by the time of KOTOR 2, and they were finished off by Kreia on Dantooine.
  19. Actually Jedi Darca Nyls is born 4000 years after Nihilus. Darcas story's take place during the Prequel Trilogy.
  20. 2? Isn't Han the only one? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Wedge and Han from movies EU: Admiral Pellaeon, Garm Bel-Iblis, and probably a dozen others
  21. Some of yall have to many old planets. Places like Korriban and Dantooine have nothing left to offer in a game such as KOTOR 3. Which will most likely have more to due with destroying the true sith once and for all. Endor has nothing, save Ewoks. Nothing to tell the story of the war against the Sith, and it's basically just Kashyyk with a much darker shadowland. 1.Coruscant is important because it's where the Senate is, and where the Jedi Temple is. Both places holding story value for war against the Sith. 2.Planet Mandalore is the main home of the Mandalorians, who are Revans only defense against the Sith besides the Republic fleet. You could easly use Dxun, but it has nothing left to offer that KOTOR 2 already gave us. Mandalore has hardly been explored in Star Wars continuity. Save some minor notes about it like: 1. It was conquered by Mandalore the First 2. It was once the home of they mythosaur beast(destroyed by Mandalore the First) 3. It's capital city is known as Keldabe. 4.Capital of the Mandalorian sector 5. It's a jungle world 6.And it's the main home of the Mandalorians, at least the people(women, children) So Mandalore has an importance it terms of ending the Mandalorian portion of the KOTOR trilogy. The ruling center of Canderous Ordo, and the place he can gather all Mandalorians to him. Good ideas can come from the Mandalore planet. 3.Alderaan is good for a planet in to tie into Episode 3. Hardly explored, and it's an important Republic world 4. Yavin. More stuff to explore on this planet, in terms of game, than anyother. Places such as the Exar Kun/Sadow temples, the Hidden Jedi City, battles with left over Massassi tribes. It's importance is quite simple, it feels that Jedi void that Dantooine had. Dantooine was good in terms of it's academy, where you learned more about the Jedi. Yavin, you can learn more about the Jedi,Sith, new tricks to use against them, maybe a hidden Jolee 5,6,7: 3 unknown region planets, which should be quite enough to feel in the Unknown Region portion of the game. 2 can be new, and another can be Sith Planets such as Corellia are fine as well, but Corellia and Alderaan can have the same story, so it's either one or the other. Planets like Tatooine and Kashyyk are more suited for making cameo appearances, like Coruscant did in KOTOR 2.
  22. Well Revan has the force on his side, and Thrawn doesn't. Revan could have sensed the Nogri, Thrawn could not. Also Thrawn bitched slapped Darth Sidious once.
