  1. The True Sith have been warring with the Republic since the Mandalorian Wars, they just been on the sidelines watching other people fight it. there is no reason for Kreia to lie, because lieing about stuff being used as plot devices isn't so in Star Wars. Not unless it's apart of the plot, but clearly the True Sith have been apart of this plot for sometime. Kreia in KOTOR 2 said that the GREAT WAR WAS COMING. A small faction of Sith isn't great, and don't once thing that the Sith are gone. This Sar Wars. Who was behind the Mandalorian Wars? The True Sith. That is the fact, Canderous told us, Revan thought it. Revan thought that something else was behind the war, and he was right. That is why he went to the Dark Side. To conquer and make stronger the galaxy, win or lose. However you must think, the True Sith are probably behind this as well. How does Revan find out about the True Sith but on a ancient Sith planet, thought to have been forgotten. Yeah right. So now you have Revan who is weakening the Republic in order to make it stronger with forces from his Star Forge. Oh, but what happens, Revan's plan goes ill when Bastila captures him and Malak nearly blows him up. He needs a new memory, and thus he is no longer Revan, and he no longer knows the True Sith are coming. And what else does he do? He destroys most of his Sith army and the STar Forge, his weapon. So now the Republic is Weak, and his Sith weak. Starting to see how all this fits together yet? Revan does remember his enemy though and goes to find them, leaving Canderous and Carth to help keep the Republic going. But what happens next, the Exile and Kreia do even more damage. They destroy the Jedi, and the rest of the Revan/Malak Sith. So the TS to do list: Weaken Greatest army in Galaxy(Mando): Check Weaken Republic: Double Check Destroy Jedi and other threats: Super Check Creat problems in Senate: Next So now A hero, a Exile, a small army of Mandalorians, and a small Republic army stand in the way of the greatest Sith threat the Galaxy will face this era. Right now the Republic might as well hang a welcome sign. But hand it to the True Sith for making a great plan, of cours no matter what they will be defeated no matter how KOTOR 3 turns out. But I feel their plan will inspire the great Darth Sidious plan 4000 years later.
  2. yea, but u said "Darth Vader is dead, Revan lives" what does that have to do with anything? The killing of darth vader was the end of the saga... so just cause vader was dead doesnt mean he was still what Star Wars's story was based on. As with Revan <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ahh, The killing of Darth Vader ended the Sega, a Sega which is one of the main characters and remains so out of 6 films. You say that when Vader dies that is the end. REVAN isn't DEAD and KOTOR 2 continuies his story, and makes him apart of the the True threat of the next GAME. The True Sith, his True Enemy, his reason for doing all he did. To think he will not be apart of the game in a major form will basically make this Trilogy dumb as hell. I think you guys are looking at this from a RPG scale. It doesn't work that way, this is Star Wars.
  3. And Revan, Luke, and Vader are all prominant characters in each story. However at the end of 6 films whom the story is about. and I assume the same will apply for Revan. Revans role in KOTOR 3 will be quite major I feel, because to leave him out will leave a grand plot hole that no mear mention will fix. I believe I have read enough Star Wars stories, and played enough Star Wars games to know this to be true.
  4. Yes and his story continuied, as will Revans.
  5. Saying the KOTOR series is "Revan's story" is wrong though, despite that stuff you wrote. Revan had zero impact on the actual events that happened in TSL. Revan wasn't the one who killed Sion, Nihilus and Treya. Revan wasn't the one who calmed the political strife on Onderon. Revan wasn't the one who found and gathered the Jedi Masters on Dantooine. The EVENTS of Revan's life are big parts of the overall story. Just like the EVENTS of Darth Vader's life will always be a big part of the Star Wars EU. But the stories themselves aren't necessarily about them. I don't think you're understanding the distinction I'm trying to make. Just because events Revan was involved in or caused to happen are mentioned and have SOME effect on the stuff we encounter in TSL, doesn't mean the entire story of TSL is about Revan. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> But Revan is the Hero fo the story. Darth Vader is dead, Revan is alive. Revan is still going on with his plan. He hasn't disappeared from the story, he's continuieing it. If it wasn't for Revan the events of KOTOR 2 wouldn't have transpired. Was it not Revan who sent the Hawk back to know space with T3's information? KOTOR 2 is a smaller story in the middle of something that is about the heat up on a much broader scale, and Revan is right in the middle of it. Not Exile or some new PC. So Revan is apart of this story, and a big part at that. Whether you like it or not. He will be apart of KOTOR 3, and I believe he will have more than a mention. Revan didn't have to apart of KOTOR 2 to have an impact on it. AT the end we find out that he's doing the big job, and all by himself. the KOTOR story may not be about Revan, but he is a Big part of it none the less. In the end the OT is about Anakin not Luke, but Luke is a big part of it none the less.
  6. KOTOR isn't about Revan. It's about the Jedi Knights of the Old Republic and their struggle against the Sith. If it was about Revan, then KOTOR 2 would have had him as the PC, but it didn't. Not to mention the majority of the story had nothing to do with Revan. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No just everything behind KOTOR 2's story is about Revan. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not really. Kreia's motivations weren't about Revan. The Exile's motivation for seeking the Jedi Masters weren't about Revan. The political crisis on Onderon wasn't about Revan. The main focus of the story was how the Mandalorian and the Jedi Civil war affected various people. Revan was involved in that, but so were a bunch of people. You could argue just as much that the story was then about Malak, since he's the one that destroyed Telos and Dantoine, making those worlds unstable. Revan's part of the story was only highlighted at the end to give the story some "where did Revan go?" oomph to it. The vast majority of the story itself had to do with the characters' past and how they were dealing with it. Saying the KOTOR series is about Revan is like saying the Star Wars EU novels post-RotJ were about Darth Vader. He's mentioned a lot, his actions are commented a lot, his affect on the galaxy is remarked upon. But each individual novel in the EU, while mentioning the above about Vader, were NOT about Darth Vader. Same with KOTOR. Revan's actions are mentioned, Revan's actions have long lasting effects, but the STORY is not about Revan. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> As the True Sith are the True enemy of the game, Revan is the true hero of the games. Everything that has transpired in the games is mostly of his doing. As it was in his devine plan to destroy the True Sith. Who themselves have done a grand job of hurting and destroying everything that could stand in their way without even making one simple attack. And who has gone to stop them if not Revan. This is Revans story because it's his failure, his war, his sacrifice, his lose. The True Sith were behind the Mandalorian Wars, badly damaging the Greatest army in the Galaxy. Revan found out about this enemy, and made a plan to stop them. To fall to the Dark Side, and conquer the Galaxy so that a grand army would prevail against this great enemy. However his plans went ill when he was captured and given a new memory. He in the end destroyed the very weapon he needed to beat the True Sith, the Star Forge. Now as he has slowly gotten is memory back, he now has to deal with his ultimate failure. Revans plan didn't end up being the Win Win situation he had thought it would be. The Mandalorians are weak, the Republic is weak. In this time Revan knew that only he now was enough to stand in the True Siths way. So he left for the Unknown Regions, and hoped that Canderous and Carth would do their part to make sure the Galaxy remained safe and prepared. However Still Revan is gone, and now thanks to the Exile and Kreia the Jeid and the rest of the Malak/Revan Sith are destroyed. With a Handful of Mandalorians and a small Republic fleet in the way. Who knows what shape the Senate's in. So like it or not Revan is a big part of the story, for he is the reason the story goes on. Exile and Kreia just feel the middle part of the story, and in fact feel in the loose end part of the story. The story on a broader scale is about Revan and the True Sith.
  8. Meaning what? Vrook was in his 80's in KOTOR 2, perhaps older pending on his age in the KOTOR comic. He seemed to get around pretty well.
  9. Well there is a way around all that. For instance lets say Jolee is hiding out on Utapau. If lightside you could get him, but if Dark side then another character is on Utapau. Hmmm, that might even be interesting to work with the planets in the game. Of course maybe to much room. For example instead of Utapau being opened up to look up for lost Jedi, for Dark Side you get Ziost instead of Utapau. Lot more playability that way.
  10. Terribly bored at the moment. So for the 50th time I shall give yall the pleasure of reading my ideas ,or not read my ideas. Just to be annoying as well. Planets: Coruscant Mandalore Corellia Alderaan Unknown Region planet Unknown Region Sith planet Utopau Droid Planet With Planet Cameo appearances by: Kashyyk Manaan Slehayron Onderon Characters: Jolee, Bastila, HK-47, T3-M4, Dustil Onasi, Bothan Senator, Falleen, Mira, Sith Trooper, Caamassi Non-Playable returning: Mandalore, Carth, Admiral Dodonna, Retired Admiral Vanacus, Cassus Fett, Chieftain Zaalbar and Mission, Yuthura, Master Vima(sunrider), Additional Species: Mandallians, Togorians, Hojibb, Bothan, Falleen, Feeorin, Caamassi, Neimodians,Fosh, Dug Other Ideas: If Corellia is in the game then Centerpoint Station should play a small part. Better continuity Good ending and story that wraps it all up and ties everything together A better influence system, or none at all Some good Cutscenes A Jedi Ability that allows for fully lightside characters to get a lightside power up(seen a few times in the NJO books) Dejarik Continuity issues: Answer what happened to the Mandalore HK lost to on his last mission.
  11. Well seems Kreia was more wrong than I had believed. Jango wasn't technically the last Mandalorian after all. He was the last known Mandalorian. In fact 50 or more Mandalorians Mercs(along side Jango) helped in the training of the Clones.
  12. Not in the Expanded Universe. Boba climbs out of the sarlacc(twice), and goes on to have many adventures.
  13. Always keep this thread handy for those who don't know much about Mandalorians http://forums.obsidianent.com/index.php?sh...lorian++History Scrowl through the entire thing, as I copied it in pieces(for those who want to read it). The article is offically licensed by LFL, and was written by Abel Pena for Star Wars: Insider 80. So don't worry, all of it's offical.
  14. Boba isn't the last Mandalorian. Not even during ROTJ is he the last Mandalorian, for Fenn Shysa is alive along with his Mandalorian recruits, fresh off the freeing of Mandalore. However Boba Fett does become Mandalore after Fenn's death, and leads them against the Yuuzhan Vong.
  15. Dude, Kreia only see's the Dark Side of things. In her visions, the Mandalorian die, and the person she hints to as the last is Jango. The one who will wear the armor and be killed by a Jedi However in reality the Mandalorians survive after Jango, and Kreia never saw that far or gave the Mandalorians that much credit. Of course from a certain point of view she is correct, because the last Mandalorian warrior in Jango does die. However, one of Jango's clones, known as Spar, resurrects the Mandalorians Supercommando's from the Mandalorians on Mandalore(212 in all). They go on to fight in the Clone Wars, kick some ass, but 3 survive the war. Spar(Mandalore the Resurrector as he was called), Fenn Shysa, and Tobbi Dala. Fenn and Tobi go back to Mandalore and find it in the hands of the Empire. After some years they free it but Dala dies, and Fenn becomes the brand new Mandalore. He rebuilds the Mandalorian Empire from the grown up, and now the Mandalorians are about as strong now as they were during the Mandalorian Wars. So Kreia see's without hope, and thus her vision only showed her "Half" the vision of what really was to become of the Mandalorians.
  16. Kashyyk and Tatooine could return in cameo form(Coruscant in KOTOR 2), but as actual planets..no.
  17. In reading the novel Star By Star I came across another cool thing that might be good for KOTOR 3. Before his death Anakin Solo's body was the FORCE, so to speak. He glowed of light, and it says that little sparks of lightning were around his body. Perhaps this could be useful for a completely lightside character. A rewarded special ability for the PC that increases the players power for a short period of time. However the ability is only can only be used if the lightside meter is full.
  18. Dejarik should be a new many game. It was said in the novel Star by Star the Dejarik was rumored to be a favored study of the Jedi Knights.
  19. To bad Vrook can't return. He was much older than I thought anyway. He had to be between 80 or 90 in KOTOR 2, concidering his appearance in the KOTOR comic.
  20. well, from what I understand, Jedi Knight III (released as Jedi Academy) does not use Kyle as the protagonist...it allows for a new pc (including non-human pcs). the games don't have to kill a character to not use the character. what complicates our situation is that no one really sees K2 as its own story but, rather, a lead-in to something else (I'm sure some do but I think consensus is that it was, in fact, a cliffhanger). if you want to be technical about it, the most satisfying way (from a storyteller's perspective) to wrap up this trilogy is to have the Exile as PC with Revan either being a plot device or a controllable character later in the game. problem is, the Exile seems to be the least favorite option as the protagonist of K3. I don't know, maybe it would be alright if they just leave Revan out of K3 and just use his name as a plot device....Heck, maybe Revan's Angels would not be that bad after all. All I know is that Revan WILL NOT be the PC of K3. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Kyle was still apart of the game though. A good part actually. Revan as a plot device leaves his story worthless in the end. For he still has story to tell.
  21. well, this is a new genre for LA. I think the closest thing they have to it is the Jedi Knight FPS series (Outcast seems to be the favorite among fans here) featuring the hard-wired character Kyle Katarn. Do you think if they killed off Kyle Katarn that that would end the Jedi Knight games? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I forsee a great sales drop yes. LFL was even afraid to kill him off, when he was supposed to die in one of the NJO novels. His character was switched with a no name Jedi instead.
  22. and this makes it all lose it's epic feel. For 2 games the True Sith have been hinted at, and Kreia implies a GREAT WAR with them. Not some small terrorist organization. Kreia wasn't lieing, and a writer will make sure of that. What she said was meant to give a hint for the last game. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nice conjecture. I don't really remember anything mentioned in K1 about the possibility of the "True Sith", its stupidity seems limited to only the ramblings of an Old Women who probaly wants just to feel important one more time before she dies. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It Star Wars that never really the case. In KOTOR 1 Canderous speaks of the SITH who came to the Mandalorians with an offer to face the Republic. This was played upon again in KOTOR 2, and Revan(when eh was Revan) also thought something else was behind the Mandalorian War.
  23. Sounds familiar That's where you going to run into problems. For one I don't see this game starting any longer then a few months after 2. When we left Exile he was searching for Revan, or going into Exile. You can say he won't, but I can definitly see a writer going that course. So Exile's searching for Revan. If not you make the enemy looks stupid. To kill the hero is to kill the series. Trust me I've seen this go wrong in Star Wars a few times, for instance with Anakin Solo. It only leaves fans confused, and annoyed. Not to mention that many fans see Revan as captain bad ass, and one of their favorite Jedi. To kill him off will have a terrible consequence. and this makes it all lose it's epic feel. For 2 games the True Sith have been hinted at, and Kreia implies a GREAT WAR with them. Not some small terrorist organization. Kreia wasn't lieing, and a writer will make sure of that. What she said was meant to give a hint for the last game.
