Well it seems to me that Canderous hasn't been back to Mandalorian Space yet(Mandalore Sector). So how would he know if there was another Mandalore or not? He believes he is the only true one because he has the mask, but it seems to me that an actual member of the Mandalorian race would outrank Canderous either way. Canderous is just human not matter how apart of the Mandalorians he was, and the actual race would be superior. Clearly this Dark Mandalore must think he has the right since he seems to be ruling from the Sector. This would be a great story for KOTOR 3. As KOTOR 2 took Canderous line about the Sith offering the Mandalorians to fight the Republic, thus creating the True Sith. HK-47's story can be used and exspanded upon, and be fixed in a much cooler style. Mandalore Ordo vs Mandalore: Winner take all
-
I've had this debate before, and the error still isn't fixed. HK-47 in both games say's he was built after Malachor, but Mandalore the Ultimate was killed at Malachor. Thus if HK faught a Mandalore in the Mandalore Sector it would have to be a new Mandalore. However Canderous was said to be the only Mandalore since Ultimate. Or was he? Clearly we have two Mandalore's on our hands, because this other dude defeated 47 in Mandalorian Space. He wouldn't need the mask to rule if he was of the actual race.

KOTOR comic series this fall
Darth Nuke replied to Darth Nuke's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Well I don't think the whole series will take place on Taris, but it will definitly start on Taris. Perhaps there's even a possibilty that we might see a masked Revan when he visited Taris during the Mando Wars. -

KOTOR comic series this fall
Darth Nuke replied to Darth Nuke's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Well LFL already decided Revan was male and a lightsider sometime back. In fact the guy on the KOTOR cover might be Revan as the head looks like one of the chosen one's in the game. Not to mention that head was also used for some of the previews of KOTOR. Seems bioware liked that head. Tis why my Revan always has it. -

Agreed. The Sith planet should be new. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Why would Sith worlds like Khar Delba (and Khar Shian) or Ziost be outer rim worlds? It's true that the fleet of Empress Teta followed Naga Sadow back to the Sith empire, but note how the name of the system they went to is never mentioned in "Fall of the Sith Empire" - there is nothing to suggest the Republic has any knowledge of worlds like Ziost. The fact that the Daragons were held captive on Ziost proves nothing, since they were taken there as prisoners and taken away by Naga Sadow in secret. Khar Delba could be known, since Jori escaped to the Republic from there (and so would have the hyperspace coordinates), except everyone ignores her warnings and the ship is confiscated before anyone can copy the logs (indeed, it seems unlikely anyone obtained them, since Ssk Kahorr appeared very interested in keeping the matter secret so he could use the ship to explore the hyperspace routes for his own benefit alone). Korriban is obviously known, but note what Kreia says at the end of KotOR2, when she tells the Exile about Revan: "It is because he remembered what lay buried here - this place, its teachings. It paved the way to Korriban, you know, the remnants here. And he came because Malachor, like Korriban, lies on the fringes of the ancient Sith Empire, where the true Sith wait for us, in the dark." So clearly Kreia is referring to the Sith Empire that Naga Sadow was the dark lord of and more than suggests that they threat of the "true" Sith comes from there. And the central world of that empire is Ziost until otherwise established. Don't forget that just because we've heard about these worlds in Star Wars canon (or EU), that doesn't mean that they are known to the Republic. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> True but we don't need old Sith planets to fill the Sith planet void. They are outer Rim worlds because they are located on the rim. I'd figure that this would lead to a original Sith Empire with new planets and something new to look at. With hopefully better looking Sith instead of the Massassi. -

Wouldn't that list of planets ignore the fact that Revan and the Exile went into the Unknown Regions, though? Personally, I was thinking it'd be more interesting if Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic III took the "Unknown Regions" opportunity to allow for the player to visit planets potentially never before even seen or spoken of in the rest of the Expanded Universe, rather than simply going to already-known worlds within the boundaries of the rest of the Expanded Universe's exploration. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Agreed. The Sith planet should be new. -

Actually Ziost might have been the home of the True Sith at one time, but Ziost is also an Outer Rim world, not an unknown region world. -

As for your Ideas,as the Mane of idies, Naga Sadow was laid to rest on Yavin. So there is no way he's on Coruscant. As for Naboo it isn't settled for sometime after the Events of KOTOR. So you'd only be seeing Gungans. Therefore Alderaan which is both settled, and a planet that hasn't been explored much has more reason than Naboo to be on KOTOR 3. -

Don't know about Cato, but Utapau is a good idea since it actually has good reason to be apart of the story. Utapau is believed to be ONE of the birthing places of the Jedi Order. Other planets: Coruscant Mandalore Alderaan 2 Unknown Region planets Corellia/Center Point Station Kashyyk,Onderon, Slheyron, Manaan make cameo appearances. -
Well hey it's something. Not great news, but news. At least it's known that LA is working on KOTOR 3, and we also know why they are keeping it secret.
-
Oh, yeah forgot. Anyway his 06/07 is the target Release. The announcement will come some time later this year.

When asked about when KOTOR 3 will be announced. A good friend of mine who has a few friends on the inside had this to say. "Right now, they're actually talking '07, perhaps late '06 at the absolute, utter, utter earliest. Two reasons: the aforementioned Presidio-move, which will require time for them to get their development schedule back on track with the outsourced subsidiary "boutiques" after they're settled; and second, the outcry that greeted Knights II's release, and the "incompletion controversy." They're not wanting to brook another incident like that, thus they are taking their time putting this one together. They're not rushing it. In fact, their only major "licensed" title seen at E3 was the next Indiana Jones game...everything else is hush-hush, including KOTOR III. But is is being worked on. Planned for the Xbox 360 and PC. From what my acquaintance tells me, it's no accident that LucasArts is attempting to reinvent itself more along the lines of EA -- come up with the initial idea, hand that idea off to "specialty" houses that truly care about the material, allow them to develop and hone that material to perfection (this is obviously a very new philosophy, as one can tell), then handle the marketing, packaging, and final release of the game. The main reason Obsidian was so easily buffaloed, rather than BioWare, was that BioWare happens to be a long-established powerhouse in the industry, not readily bullied by Lucas Corporate. As a company, Obsidian's a relative gosling, still paying its dues, and fighting hard for every development deal. Thus, the hardline stance after the first KOTOR hit huge, and the...er..."revised" release schedule for the sequel. After the Night of the Long Knives at LucasArts this past year -- and the crummy treatment they inflicted upon Obsidian, which HAS tainted their image in the industry, have no doubts about that -- they are trying hard to redesign their business practices and do right by their cli

Both sources haven't been fleshed out, other than Jodo Cast armor coming from that pile. However the Mandalorian bodies are either 1) Mandalorians who were betrayed and killed for unknown reasons by the Confeds there(since the Mandalorians were confed) 2) those bodies were there a long time perhaps during the Mandalorian Civil War. As for issue 67, the Article says that the Mandalorians didn't have any major battles until Durge was killed(he was the commander who died), and that was 30 something months into the war. The battle of Norval II took place only a month or a few weeks before ROTS. So since 67 took place 16 months into the war(i think) it's impossible for Secura or Bly to have anything to do with the Norval II battle. The article also says that before Durge died squads of Mandalorians were doing covert missions. That is what the mission on New Holstice was, and why the Mandalorians retreated. Quite an embarrassing feat for the Clone Army if I may say. They were going up against a sqaud of Mandalorians on a covert mission, and yet they lost 40% of their forces to them. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> man, those mando commandos mean business when they fight <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Can't give the Clones any less credit though it was more or less the Jedi General in charge who underestimated the Commando's abilities. I say this because the Clones were trained by many old Mandalorian mercenaries

Should Tatooine and/or Kashyyk be in KotOR 3
Darth Nuke replied to User Name's topic in Obsidian General
Both Kashyyk and Tatooine have had their fun in KOTOR. Not saying they can't make cameo appearances like Coruscant did in KOTOR 2, but not playable planets. If I want a jungle planet then I'll stick with Mandalore. Yavin 4 is good, but needs to watch what it does with Kun. You can't revive him, you can't do much with him. If you do then things get kinda stupid. Yavin with a small Kun quest still has the many temples and the Lost City of the Jedi. However again I'll stick with Utapau as my planet with possible Jedi entertainment, since it is believed to be one of the birth places of the Jedi Order. -

Well, if they go back to the Sith War era, then Exar is still a living man. The idea is that Exar was so powerful that the Republic decided to just bomb Yavin 4 from orbit and kill him through attrition because no one could stand up to him with lightsaber. The PC would be helping the Republic find out where he is, and help map out the bombardment, etc. You wouldn't even have to be a Jedi to do these things. I must confess that I do not understand the whole ownership business in the EU. People saying that you can't mention Nomi Sunrider because of an ownership issue...seems to me that LFL (if not LA) could find a way to do it if they really wanted to. That is the thing, though, LFL has so far not been heavily involved in this, it appears. absolutley! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The Republic didn't bombard Yavin. The 10's of thousands of Jedi gathered over the planet and used the force to lock Exar Kuns spirit inside the great temple. This caused the whole world of Yavin to go up in flame(it's ok now though). The issue with Vima Sunrider is simple. The name Sunrider is copyrighted. As such the right have to be gained by LFL in order to use it. However I don't really see the problem since Vima could go by Master Vima or just plain Vima in the next game. -
Are there Mandalorian Women?
Darth Nuke replied to E_Motion's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Before the Mandalorian Wars, the Mandalorian race recruited/converted other races into their ranks, and concidered them equals. They did this so they would have enough warriors for the Mandalorian Wars. Since this is so, then Canderous is Mandalorian. -

Have you even looked at the story of KOTOR 2. See the True Sith have always been the enemy. Revans enemy the reason he did this and that in the Jedi Civil War. The story has always been about the True Sith, except that they have played their war smart like Palpatine did, and stayed out of it and let others fight it. So Revans great enemy is the True Sith. It has always been the True Sith whether he knew it at the time or not. Revan's story continuies in KOTOR 3, and I'm sure he will play a major part concidering this whole story in the end is about him vs the True Sith. KOTOR 2 didn't need to be about Revan or the True Sith to make them the key factors in the next game. KOTOR 2 made everything more dire now then it was in KOTOR 1. Now only a Hero, an Exile, a small army of Mandalorians, and a small Republic navy stand in the way of the Greatest Threat the galaxy will face. Revan not a key character, HA, please. -

Darth Nuke replied to Fionavar's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
yea, but u said "Darth Vader is dead, Revan lives" what does that have to do with anything? The killing of darth vader was the end of the saga... so just cause vader was dead doesnt mean he was still what Star Wars's story was based on. As with Revan <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ahh, The killing of Darth Vader ended the Sega, a Sega which is one of the main characters and remains so out of 6 films. You say that when Vader dies that is the end. REVAN isn't DEAD and KOTOR 2 continuies his story, and makes him apart of the the True threat of the next GAME. The True Sith, his True Enemy, his reason for doing all he did. To think he will not be apart of the game in a major form will basically make this Trilogy dumb as hell. I think you guys are looking at this from a RPG scale. It doesn't work that way, this is Star Wars. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> omg no. What im trying to say to you is that even though Revan plays a huge part in KOTOR he is not the whole story. The whole story is based on either saving the galaxy or ruling it. Not Revan <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Of course, that's the same with most Star Wars stories, but each has their hero's. A Revan's is this era's. Exile isn't the hero, he wasn't meant to be, his story deals with much deeper problems. Revan is facing the TRUE THREAT, and alone for that matter.
