Pictures of your Games Episode X - The Journey to Babel
Serrano replied to Rosbjerg's topic in Computer and Console
The new Outbreak mode is just amazing. It's the first thing I've played since Left 4 Dead to properly capture that same kind of joy and atmosphere. I hope it's the first of many similar DLC modes because this rocks and is like a game unto itself. -

Party-based CRPG recommendations

I never played this one but I remember there was an old game called Lionheart released during that period when Baldur’s gate style games were still being made. It’s an alternative history medieval RPG with daemons and magic ect, might be worth a look. -
The plot picks up after a while but it's also going to end on a cliffhanger. I really enjoyed it though, it's a shame that's where the DLC and expansions for NWN2 ended.

Run by a crew of robots... Takin' our jobs! -
This looks freaking amazing. I'd love to see Obsidian make a video game in a similar vein to this also. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/awakenrealms/1491084656?ref=85kcya&token=be0c2bbb And check out that artwork and those miniatures. I'm in love.

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS - 'NON-FAKE-NEWS EDITION'

Out of interest how many teachers use these sims to gun down a bunch of virtual kids to let off steam? I can totally see there being a market for that. -

I fell asleep when I saw it, on a date. Had some nice ideas and some really good scenes I just think as a whole it's too, um, boring. The holographic girlfriend was really cool though, loved that character, that relationship and those scenes. Should I be concerned about that? Am I subconsciously one of those virtual waifu people? -
You joined late didn't you and were still learning the rules? The odds were stacked pretty heavily against you

I will do very soon, sorry for the delay. My steam username is Sprint. Is there anything you'd like to play? I don't have quite as many games as you but still more than I want to list right now. If you'd like to pick something we both own I'd be happy to reinstall anything. If you're not too bothered I have been playing XCOM2 (on PC) a lot recently and would be interested in finally trying the multiplayer side of it. Your profile also says you've only played a few hours of Divinity? I've not played it properly yet either so if you and Katphood don't co-op that one I'd love to on the PC.

I also have Divinity Original Sin and Borderlands 2, plus the Pre-Sequel for PC.

On the PC matches usually take about an hour i think because the dice rolls ect are automated. You can also set the match rules so that each player only gets 2mins or something like 30 seconds to play their turn which cuts the time down greatly. Blood Bowl 2 is practically the exact same game as the first one except for a couple of different races, better graphics, less bugs and a much better interface. I'd go for the sequel if you're considering it.

For those who don't know, there is an Obsidian forumite steam group called SODOFF, we did a Blood Bowl league a couple of years ago that turned out to be pretty fun. I think it's a shame we never did anything else like it with more members involved.

Hi Melkathi, my best bet would be any time on Sundays. I work hospitality so it's going to get pretty busy for me soon but the hotel I work at is closed Sundays and Mondays bar holidays. What games would you be interested in playing?
-
Hi guys, I've started gaming again and I was wondering if anyone wanted to try doing anything like the Blood Bowl league we had going a while back? I'm pretty flexible about what game that might be. Would anyone be up for something like that?

In a lot of ways Arkham Origins was actually my favorite. The Robin DLC for Arkham City was also pretty good. I wish they'd used the side characters better in Arkham Knight and not bothered with the car but ah well.

The movie that should have been. -
You should try organising an Obsidian Warhammer TW league. We did it with Blood Bowl, it was a lot of fun especially if you keep people updated about how it's going on the forum.

It's based on the reboot game but disappointingly the trailer makes it look like the game will be superior for script and cinematography. -
Which RPG-story would you like to rewrite?
Serrano replied to Harry Easter's topic in Computer and Console
I'd rewrite Consortium and cut the whole 4th wall shattering plot thread. That game did such a great job at making you feel like you were in a Star Trek-like episode, I'd have just focused on doing that and not ended on a Cliffhanger. It would have made for a great series of games, you could have explored multiple story genres and none of the sequels would really need to connect to anything that happened previously but could still be entirely story driven with lots of C&C. -
The guys who made Mordenheim are currently working on a similar videogame of Necromunda, arguably the best GW game ever. I hope they include 'It came from the Sump' as one of the missions, either in the campaign or a scenario (From what I remember it was basically John Carpenter's 'The Thing' as a turn-based stratergy).

When Obsidian do another fantasy setting I hope this is the accent they use for all their characters 2:50
