It did a lot of things really well. I think because of how short a single playthrough is, the amount of bugs at launch were really devestating. By the time the game was stable I'd already gone most of the way through the game (As I remember it there was a bit near the end where you couldn't progress due to a bug) and lost my enthusiasm. Also the 4th wall breaking plotline was a bit of a turn-off for me but that's personal preference. I'd probably buy Consortium 2 on a whim if I saw it on the Steam store but I don't want to kickstart it and wait god knows how long for a release, if that makes any sense and isn't just me being picky?

Started playing Pillars of Eternity properly and am working my way through the Raderic quest line. I'm very happy with how the custom portraits look.

Way back before Freedom Force was a finished thing it was supposed to be an X-Com type title but with super powers, I still think that would work amazingly well.

Seeing what they had planned for Crucible I'd love an Alien vs. Predator or Promethius RPG from Obsdian, or hell even a new IP but with a similar theme.

It's probably still better on the whole having something to work towards rather than having everywhere be scalable, especially with sub-quests which are hand crafted.

I can't believe Hateful 8 was advertised as a comedy. I loved the film but it was so brutal.

I'm getting close to the end of Wasteland 2 I think. I've just reached Damonta and while I'm determined to finish the game I am sort of forcing myself now. Too much combat for my liking at this point but I'm digging the story and am looking forward to seeing what else InXile release.

The alien craft can take off if you take too long getting there, it sounds like you were really unlucky with your timing but that could happen in classic X-Com too. If it makes you feel any better I had something similar happen in my new XCOM playthrough with a stray rocket taking out all of my best units, failing the mission and causing 4 nations to leave the council. That's Xcom!

Yeah, if I buy something this month it'll probably be a couple of games rather than the DLCs. I will keep a hawk-like eye on them and hope for a better deal in the meantime. Thanks for all the info guys.

Sounds plausible. Found the first game so bad I threw the towel in the ring before finishing it. Trust those sneaky aliens to not go home and give it a rest in a gentlemanly manner. Did they thwart us during our tea break like those pesky Romans?
