  1. To get rid of pvp flag, toggle it on manually, then off again and hang out in the imperial base for 5 mins. No more getting jumped when doing the heroic. I thought it was pretty easy though, me and a friend did it the two of us, but we're kinda overgeared for it I suppose. The champion and turret you encountered was probably the imperial base? I thought the event was pretty fun. We had a group in the pvp zone and while it took a while to get those quests done, it was still great fun. Since it's free for all, you're never really safe, but neither is the group attacking you. So kinda exciting. But I wouldn't go in without a group of 4 I don't think. We also got a group together to down the two ops bosses you can do without having access to the ship. They were cool. Not too complicated mechanics, but they packed a punch. Today was a bit of a laggy day. Ilum wasn't so bad, but section x and fleet were horrid. Section X had gotten better, but today it was back to it's old self again. And yes, I'm on the Red Eclipse, but mostly imperial side (I have characters on republic side as well, but my guild is imperial).
  2. I have none of those issues. PvP and ops are mostly lag-free (the occasional hicup in Ancient Hypergates exist, but it's rare), the game is fairly stable (apart from thee nd-of-flashpoint roulette) for me and my guild excepting those that run the game on sub-par computers. And I've found nothing to be wrong with the CM the few times I do use it (though it's typically once a month when I get my stipend, so I suppose it could be worse for those who actively need it). There are bugs definitely, but in my experience it's nowhere near as bad as Hassat makes it out to be. Your mileage may vary.
  3. Or they just have other priorities than you. Fixing one bug means you're taking time away from fixing another one, and maybe there are others they deem more important, regardless of how trivial some would be to fix.
  4. I can understand why people who are pure f2p can't, but preferred players absolutely should be able to.
  5. If it's any consolation, the times I've had to call in (when I replaced my phone and needed my security key app reset, and when my wife's password got locked because someone tried to steal her account) the customer service on the other end of that phone line was stellar. So at least there's that.
  6. So yeah, combat, skill use, graphics all looked totally sweet. The "cone-of-sight" I'm not a huge fan of in theory, but works well in games like commandos, I suppose. The dialogue though was pretty bad. I really hate keyword dialogue...
  7. The support from returns automated responses, but it also creates a ticket. I've had every form I've sent in answered within a few days. Hassat, can't you create a ticket in game?
  8. It's just the same pattern as we always see. When a new generation of consoles arrives, a lot of games are sold for them and PC gaming is declared to be dying. Then as the years pass and the console hardware becomes outdated, the PC rises from the ashes and becomes more and more popular again.
  9. Of course you have to fight the dragon. Carnage and mayhem is what we're all here for
  10. have they fixed mod support for the ipad in any way?
  11. It's an issue with dark_editor.css (and possibly other theme css) not updating properly, even if you use ctrl+f5. I opened the css-file in a tab of it's own, used ctrl+f5 there and then reloadd this page, and now it looks like it should in FF as well. I think the cause is that the css is loaded by javascript after the page loads (editors like this typically work that way) and as such when the browser is fetching new uncached data, the link the the needed css simply isn't there, and once it gets added the browser is no longer forcing the cache to be updated (since it already has been). My suggestion above would solve that problem (and is an industry standard way of doing it)
  12. A tip, ad a query parameter to the css url that you change when making changes in the file. That will make browsers think it's a new file, since they go by the url to see if they should use the cached version. It's done on editor.css, but not dark_editor.css and prettify.css So something like prettify.css?v=27.01 or dark_editor.css?v=32.19 should help. Looking closer, maybe prettify.css actually already has this done, the url is a bit strange (since it's php generated), but dark_editor.css doesn't for sure.
  13. Well, Hurlshot tends to like every game in existance, so there's that.
  14. For now. Like I said, they didn't have it in any story content from the beginning, and haven't added any story content until now. I am sure the next time they add content with romances SRG will be included in that content as well.
  15. It is and it isn't. The tone of the article is a bit off. Yes there will be a DLC coming this spring, and yes in that DLC there will be content that contains SGR. But by no means is this content targeted specifically at the gay community, and I'm sure there will also be characters for straight people to jump in the sack with. It's a content update with an increased level cap, and a new planetary quest series. So it's aimed at everyone, it's just that they've finally had content where it makes sense for them to deliver on a promise they made a long time ago. Nothing more, nothing less.
  16. People complained about the music? I thought that was the best part of that trailer
  17. But they couldn't have done it before now. From what I udnerstand, the rights to the franchise has lapsed somehow, so now it's free to make. So having waited 15 years has nothing to do with anything. Remember, Inxile as a company had nothing to do with the original. I still have faith in Colin McComb as a designer, and am choosing to belive that this game about from a brainstorming session between him and fargo, where McComb said "What if we do another Torment?" rather than as a cash grab from fargo's side. Alan is choosing to believe otherwise, which is also fine. It's going to be interesting to see how tings play out none the less.
  18. Tried Gimp in the past, but never could get used to it. Found the interface to be messy and horribly unintuitive. Of course, I was used to PS before, so that could have been why. And it was a long time again, so hopefully it's improved in those regards since. (been at least five years since last time I gave it a look, possibly more) Edit: Went over and looked at some screenshots, it certainly seems they've improved their interface by a lot.
  19. MC Comb is pretty good. While Torment was MCA's baby. McComb was hired on the project due to his immense knowledge of the Planescape setting (he wrote a lot of the source material for it after all) and was, afaik, the second most influential designer after Avellone. He also liked to interract with the fanbase on the forums a lot, so there's that. I certainly think he has the design chops for this project, yes.
  20. While that image is called fallout-4 teaser, it has nothing to do with FO4. It's a piece of fan art made by a (I think) polish guy many years ago. It's awesome art though and I used to have it as my desktop background fro a while. As for Three dog, I wasn't that bothered by him. Then again I skipped the whole part of the questline where you're supposed to go see him (by accident) so I never got to see the really annoying bits, so I guess I'm not one to judge.
  21. Do note that this version is very old, and has improved greatly since then. It's still very good at what it does though. But still, it's really a great decision by Adobe. I personally think Adobe is one of the companies that's benefitted the most from piracy. A lot of people pirating Photoshop would never be able to justify a purchase (it's too expensive for personal use), but having a lot of people comfortable with your products help a lot selling it to their target audience. Photoshopping wouldn't have been commonly used expression if it wasn't for piracy I'm sure. Which is why Adobe never really tried fighting piracy in any serious matter in the past, other than the token resistance to keep professional customers honest. Personally I have photoshop on my work computer, so I am more enthusiastic about the other products on that list. Indesign is always nice to have (haven't used it since school though) and even more so Premiere. Haven't found any other free video editing software I like, but Premiere was quite good.
  22. So how does Dark Souls play on the PC without a controller anyway?
  23. Crossworlds wasn't exactly a campaign though, was it? Just arena mode, and new enemies in the original campaigns or something like that? At least Warriros of the North is a new campaign. Thanks for pointing it out Gorth, just got it myself. Also, I got Kotor 1 & 2 (for my wife to play) and the D&D pack on GOG, containing nine games (not counting expansions). Of course I really only wanted BG1 & 2, but still.
  24. Don't know if it interests anyone but me, but since I've lost my BG cds I was going to get it anyway, and gog for an additional 14 hours have a D&D pack on sale, for $22. Includes all IE games, NWN, and a few others. So for a couple of bucks extra I got tons more than I was there for, seemed like good value to me
  25. Awesome update. you're almost making me want to play the bg games again... Is unfinished business also on G# or hosted somewhere else?
