  1. Thats a good conspiry theory. Could 2 users here be the same person in their home, arguing with themselves on the forum? How would Obsidianent know? That's another idea- if they ban a user, what's to prevent them setting up another account under a different name? I know you have to give an email address but those can be set up easily as well.
  2. But WHAT part don't you think will be it? The idea that Revan trained these 3 sith? Or do you think he did but he's no longer in command of them?
  3. Isn't that just what i said. I may not have got the line exactly right but u should have got the idea. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sorry, you're right. I think I only read your first Vrook quote. I should read more carefully next time And your take was correct it was 'undertake'
  4. What part is unlikely? The fact that these 3 would be favoured Revan students? Or the part about Revan secretly controlling them? (I admit this is unlikely- they would turn on him, having lost his memory and all) And although it is the way of the sith for the apprentice to challange the master, I don't think the master would just sit by and wait for it to happen. If they do they deserve to die.
  5. Or when he says Vandar: after all with Revan dead... Vrook: Are you sure Revan is truely dead? What if we were to train this one and the dark lord should return? So obvious once you know.
  6. Carth, Vrook, Bastilla all give little comments that you didn't really notice when first playing but during the 'revealing' cinematic you realise that they were all hints. You wonder how you could have missed it once you've realised what thier really talking about.
  7. Remember those three sith Malak sends to kill you on the starforge (darkside), remember what he says to them: "Of all the dark jedi that serve me you three are the most worthy." This got me thinking. If Malak had these 3 as his apprentices and I know some of you may say "What about Bandon? He was Malaks apprentice." Well I don't think that Malak would completly trust bandon because Malak became Lord by betraying his master, and is probably worried Bandon would do the same thing. If you look at Bandons biography on the KOTOR website it says he may challange Malak for the title of Lord, so he must be powerfull to consider this. To counter this Malak would have chosen 3 other servents to train as backup apprentices. Now malak has these 3 servents, so what if Revan did the same thing? Revan knew Malak would challange him one day, so it is possible Revan chose 3 students as his backup. This may seem far fetched but think about it- in TSL there are 3 Sith Lords (Sion, MSG and the unknown) these 3 must have had more power (perhaps command of a battle group) than the rest of the sith grunts to have become the new dominent rulers of the Sith. When Malak took command he would not have know these sith were loyal to Revan, and would have allowed them to keep their positions. So when Malak died these 3 were in a good position to rise to power. At the end of KOTOR If Revan was a lightsider the new sith would now consider him an enemy and chase him off into the outer rim. BUT if he was a darksider they would have pledged their loyalty to him again. SO what if Revan has gone to find a greater source of power but is secretly commanding the Sith through his 3 followers?
  8. Thats okay....just thought I'd just match a name to the question. Another question: What factors will determine how much respect your party-members have for you? The devs have talked about how they will follow you to the light/dark side and you can convert them if they like you enough. Can we have more elaboration on this, will charisma or persuade be involved?
  9. It was my idea. And thanks for posting it Question: How will the transition from normal to prestige class affect the character? For example if we were pure lightside and had the guardian's mastery bonus of +3 strength and then we changed class to Jedi Master (who are more focused on wisdom) would we keep the +3 strength? or would it change to +6 wisdom?
  10. If he'd have stood his ground he'd have been better. He runs from you on the Leviathan. He sends Bastilla to killl you at the unknown world temple. He sends his droids in first on the starforge Then his soldiers Then those 3 henchmen Then more droids Stand and fight! You're a Sith  not an Onasi!
  11. Carth. You go through so much effort to get to him -femail-evil-must save his son-fight Malak, and it's all worth it in the end. The wuss wouldn't even fight you-he just stands there being useless. Talk about die as you've lived.
  12. Catching a lightsaber isn't like catching a boomerang. If you grab the wrong end of a lightsaber it will cut your hand off. And since all the Sith in the game are right-handed, it would be hard to catch it with their off-hand. And what about those with 2 lightsabers. How are they suppost to catch it? With their mouth Actually, maybe thats what happened to Malak. The secret is revealed at last. :D
  13. In a way no news is good news. If he's not on the boards he must be working on the game. Which is what he's paid to do. Let the man work, so we can all enjoy a quicker release date.
  14. Belaya! She represents the peak of the Jedi padawan's: She yells at you when you first arrive at the acadamy. She is concerned for her friend Juhanni when she falls to the darkside....... ........and then falls herself :D (if you kill Juhanni that is) Typical Jedi
  15. I was just using the Exar Kun thing as an example. Now if in KOTOR there was a Qel'Dorma head-mask to go with the robes that would have been good.
  16. Will equipment sets be featured. (see my topic of the same name)
  17. If we get a weekend programmer 4 I'll ask Akari.
  18. Feargus actaully stated in an interview that he would like to do a KotNR aswell. Maybe your dreams will come true someday. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I would rather have a 'knights of the new republic', than a 'knights of the old republic 3'. If they do make a third game then setting it post-ROTJ would be better. What would they call it? Star Wars:Knights of the old republic 3:knights of the new republic? A bit confusing and contradictory.
  19. I would like to see a KNIGHTS OF THE NEW REPUBLIC, that would have new possiblities for plot, characters etc
  20. If you look at other RPG's, they have implimented a system where you can collect a set of items 'armour, gloves, bows etc', and when you have the entire set you gain a stronger bonus. Would this be a good thing in KOTOR? Just for instance if we could collect Exar Kun's Robes +2 strength Exar Kun's Lightsaber +2 attack Exar Kun's Gauntlet +4 strength Exar Kun's Head set +2 dexterity Exar Kun's Belt +2 strength On their own you would get the individual bonuses, but if you equip a character with the whole set you would get +10 strength, +4 dexterity and +4 attack. I think this could be an interesting addition to the equipment abilities. What do you think?
  21. What kind of game would it be if you could just say "Revan put a ton of credits in his ship." and then collect it all. It would ruin the game if you could instantly afford everything in the shops.
  22. It seems to me that the new sith lords are more cunning. They didn't try to challange Revan when he was in charge, but waited untill the right opportunity to rise to power. This suggests a new patient sith philosophy rather than just trying to kill your commander as soon as the opportunity arises, no matter how the sith as a whole may suffer.
  23. Posioning the kolto. You kill the selkaths god and help many soldiers die through lack of medical equipment. Pretty good as evil acts go
  24. I agree that dexteritry will be a focus this time around. If you are a guardian you will choose strength over wisdom A consular will focus on wisdom rather than strength But every class will want to have a high dexterity. I want to know what upgrades robes will allow, maybe something to allow an even higher dexterity bonus?
  25. Scout- the free flurry and implant feats allowed you to choose other more powerfull feats later on. and all for only 2 less vitality points than a soldier!
