  1. I also heard that he didn't make 1 2 3 first, as he felt that 4 5 6 were the better stories........
  2. It was someone else who first started the 'levitation thing', not me!! And it was said that jedi are identified and sent for training at a VERY early age. Qui'gon said that if Anakin was born in the republic he would have been identified early. So there you are.....
  3. There was a 'history of the sith' thread around here somewhere that will tell you how the Jedi did transform the Sith from a simple race to an aggressive people. the Sith worshipped the Jedi exiles as gods and were taught how to use the force for evil. The Jedi started the sith going in the first place. And i agree about avoiding politics, lets stay focused on the Star Wars universe
  4. C'mon- in a galaxy full of different beings there must be at least one species with many eyes. Then they can watch 10 screens all at once And you wouldn't need a camera watching EVERYONE, just the children. Send them all off to a camp somewhere and problem solved- easy!
  5. Yes. Terenteks were bred to kill jedi. Created by Jedi to kill Jedi. And you thought Sith were the in-fighters of the galaxy.
  6. Terentateks were bred by the ancient Sith- who were turned evil by the Jedi. See- it always comes back to the Jedi being the root of all evil, not money.
  7. Just wondering- would Yoda fit in a Vader style mask and suit? How cool would that be. B)
  8. Talking of 'hunts'....... Would my proposed 'Jedi hunt' be any different from the 'great hunt' the Jedi made against the Terentateks? They tried to make the galaxy safer by destroying an entire species. Thats another reason to get rid of the Jedi. They are active practisers of genocide!! So much for being the good guys
  9. You don't have to be trained in the force to notice a child causing a toy to hover in the air. You would need cameras watching everyone the whole time (1984-big brother style) but it could be done. But yeah some outside the republics influence would go unnoticed- but the republic would be safer.
  10. Hell Yeah! Imagine the scene tiny Yoda-creature walks in. Everyone laughs. Yoda thing raises hands. All the people drop dead. Fantastic. :D
  11. New idea. What if all children who showed signs of force powers were arrested/ killed as soon as it was first noticed? Ruthless perhaps but would this end the threat of evil force users. I also think i need backup- are there any more Jedi-haters out there?
  12. Good points but remember: the Sith as a species are gone. Modern Sith have been Jedi who have taken on the name- hence Jedi are to blame for the recent wars in KOTOR. As for force sensitive children loosing control and going to the darkside- if no children knew that Jedi/sith were cabable of using force lightning choke etc they wouldn't attempt it themselves.
  13. But do the Jedi do more good than bad? When they do good they keep the peace, a job which the republic army could probably do just as well. When they go bad you get a galaxy-wide war in which whole planets are bombed (Telos, Taris) and millions of people die.
  14. Ah but if Exar hadn't been taught simple Jedi powers like force push how could he have learnt more powerfull Sith ones such as lightning? I know you wouldn't be able to stop people going dark but if nobody knew anything about the force, noone would ever think "I may start a new Sith empire" It's like nuclear weapons- if all records of what they were and how to build them was erased no nation would imagine they could build such a weapon and the world would be a safer place, or would it........ I just wanted to get a debate going, and remember the beginning- if there were no Jedi there would be no evil sith.
  15. I personaly felt that may of the changes in the 'new edition' trilogy make the films worse. Lots of people agree with this. But in this case it may be justified, but then whats the next step going to be? Having Hayden play Vader when the mask comes off? Or redubbing the Vader voice over? Where would the changes ever stop..........
  16. I've been looking closley at the Star Wars universe and I feel there is a strong case for Jediism to be outlawed. I'll go through the evidence..... In the begining.........The Jedi exiled some of their darker members to the Sith homeworld where they interbred with them, turning the sith into a race of evil force-using warriors. Note: the Sith were innocent untill the Jedi turned up, it was the Jedi who corrupted them. We then come to the start of the original KOTOR. How would the republic feel about the Jedi then- The republic has just recovered for the Exar Kun war, a war caused by the Jedi- Exar was a Jedi who turned bad and started a devistating war. If Jediism were banned Exar would never have been trained and could not have learn't Sith teachings and the war wouldn't have happened........... Then when the Mandalorian's invaded and the republic asked the Jedi for help what did the Jedi do? Nothing! They left the republic on it's own. I'd imagine the rebublic senators would hate the Jedi for that, along with the republic army. Now we come to Revan, we know that yes he saved the republic, but what did he do then- he turned around and started taking over the galaxy! Now true the Mandalorian's would have done this, but remember what Carth said once.. "The sith are savages, even the Mandalorian's weren't this bloodthirsty" it seems to me that perhaps the republic would have been better off under Mandalorian control rather than having to put up with two wars started by Jedi! Also the republic army would not be to fond of the Jedi taking over a ship like they did the Endar Spire. Then Many jedi instantly swore alligance to Malak- how loyal can Jedi be.... Now consider the movies, the Jedi seemed to be so arrogant, for example Anakin- "This is a job for local security not Jedi!" Putting down that security chief like that just seems rude to me. When Mace Windu is told that he is 'impossibly outnumbered' he replies "I don't think so!"- this deffinatly sounds arrogant to me..... Now think of post episode 6- how would the rebel soldiers feel about the new Jedi that Luke Skywalker is training to be the new peacekeepers. If you were a rebel soldier who had fought against the Empire for years, killed 100's of Storm troopers, and risked your life for freedom, how would you feel if some kid who has done 2 months Jedi training started telling you what to do? You'd be pissed off wouldn't you? Yes you would! Maybe this is why there are so few jedi at the start of TSL, perhaps the republic got fed up with them and stopped protecting them..... How do you feel about the Jedi. Arrogant troublemakers, or loyal heros?
  17. Since we know you can adjust your partymembers light/dark nature you probably won't get the same opportunity to massacre many of them like the last game. If you can convert them to the darkside with you then they may all end up serving you, rather than you having to kill half of them for refusing to bow down to your evil ways.
  18. It was said in an interview that all characters would continue to gain experience at the same rate. What i want to know is if they will change the amount of exp points needed to level up each time. How else can they fit 30 levels in if the game will only be slightly longer than the original?
  19. Also what was wrong with the emperors eyes in Empire Strikes Back? When he appeared as the hologram he had some massive bulges all around the eyes, yet in Return of the Jedi they were normal again. What happened there? Is this another effect of the darkside or did he just walk into a door...............
  20. All male DS characters should grow beards as the game goes on and they grow darker, this made the game more realistic by giving a sense of time passing. Scars would also be good, more pronounced veining perhaps.... Also what would be really good would be to have your party members changing as well, or at least any Jedi who gain DS points. This would be another good feature in the new DS/LS system. It was a shame Bastila looked exactly the same as a darksider as she did when she was a lightsider, hopefuly TSL will do this to party members. B) Oh yeah and npc, people in bars etc, should definatly react to seeing an obviously evil person around them. When you talk to them they should say something like "Whats wrong with your face, freak." "Are you feeling okay" be more realistic that way
  21. If they had a demo of the very first level it would be okay, like the equivelent of the Endar Spire level, just to whet our appetites and not give any main plot away. Maybe the first half of Peragus, if that is the starting area of TSL True it would be a short demo, but you do see shorter ones out there....... But definatly more movies! Probably be some released nearer the release date. And yeah I never saw a demo for KOTOR either, I searched everywhere for a pc demo- was there one on x-box?/
  22. Don't forget that as well as the different LS/DS ending/beginning combinations there will also be differences depending on the pc's gender. Apparantly there are some uniqe party members that can only join you if you are a certain gender. This means even more replayability :D Think about that, 8 games in one! Has this ever been attempted before?
  23. You say Canderous was the best Mandalorian next to Mandalore. Here's a thought- what if Canderous was the new Mandalore? If you took the darkside ending Canderous could have united his people to serve Revan and fight on the side of the sith. The Mandalorians fought the Republic before and would probably do so again, even if there aren't that many of them left. Maybe Revan promised to restore them to their former glory. At the light side ending maybe they decided to serve the republic and fight a battle against the sith, a hard battle against an invincible enemy would be honorable. btw did anyone else notice what appeared to be Mandalorian ships fighting for the republic in the starforge battle? You see ships like Jango Fett had leading squads of republic fighters- are Mandalorians good guys now? Or did the republic capture them at the en dof the Mandalore wars/ Any ideas?
  24. They say first impressions count. Both in real life (job interviews etc) and games. Look at Atton. We know almost nothing about him, he could be the biggest tough-nut in the galaxy, but just looking at him the first impression you get is that he's a wuss. :D Reading the board it's obvious he's been condemed simply because this is the first impression he makes on you. So, other than Atton what are the first impressions you get by looking at the other characters? Just by looking at the concept art/ screenshots. Here are my views Mira- she looks like she's a do-gooder, she want's to help people (kinda like Mission was), a bit naive. Odd qualities to find in a Bounty Hunter.......... Atris- She looks more of a fighter, a Jedi who would be more actively willing to fight fire with fire and seek out Sith to kill. A lot more combat oriented and not so preachy like Bastilla- I can't image her saying "control yourself, don't seek revenge" Masked Sith guy- first impression=don't mess with this guy
  25. I agree it would be better to have two different end fights depending on your light/dark choice, but I'm not sure the 'white haired chick' will be one of them. I thought she was a teammate, and could be swayed light or dark depending on how you acted through the game. It would be better to have her an evil teammate and perhaps fight a couple of Jedi Masters at the end of the darkside game.
