  1. Just wondering..... Any level 4 or 5 people remember?
  2. Okay not all enemies would avoid mines- your basic sith trooper or animal would be that dumb but not your all powerfull sith lord. Malak didn't survive the mandalore wars by stepping on mines did he?
  3. Yet another one. On korriban, the 'aiding lashowe' sidequest. when i killed the tuktaka mother for some reason her corpse turned into the energy stick thing from the Naga shadow tomb puzzle. It was crazy this thing sticking out of the ground like that
  4. When i was a scoundral-consular i had to use plauge on him to slow him down, then run around placing mines which he was foolish enough to keep running on. Another thing that needs changing in TSL- enemies should be smart enough to avoid stepping on mines!
  5. Also today i was on Tatoeene in Sand people territory and was trying to get to where the star map is (East dune sea?). And You know how normally you pass through a mountain range and auto-jump when you first step onto it, well this time i was on force speed and ran all the way up this path to the edge of the map. I had to go back to activate the area change.......
  6. On the leviathan i beat him so quick i was laughing at him. Perhaps he levelled up at some point before the star forge as he was so much more powerfull there. Also do you think a similar thing will happen with Darth Sion? It was said we will first encounter him on board an 'Endar Spire' type ship (also gave a name but I've forgotten it) but will be unable to fight him. Will he juist stun us and run off, or will some other Jedi fight him off. If we meet on board a republic gunship would it be the one in the screen shots we see docked to Peragus? But why would we be there if we can leave via the Ebon Hawk? Harder to answer these are.........
  7. Devs this may have been discussed before but I'd like to know Will single weapon fighting be made more powerfull this time round? IN kotor there was no comparrison between using 2 lightsabers or a single one. All you got for the duelling feats was a +3 to attack and defence. Which did not make up for loosing another weapon. In TSL will duelling add to damage, or will it be +6 to attack and defence, to balance it with 2 weapon fighting? Also I remember reading somewhere that players will have the opportunity to find the pc's original lightsaber- will this have any bonuses with it? Thanks
  8. Wasn't there a name going around before 'Darth Nilus'.. That may have been made up, but could this be masked guys name, or the name of the as-yet-unknown 3rd sith lord?
  9. To make things harder they should introduce more force-resistant enemies. It was stupid how in KOTOR you could have a wisdom 8 character, and yet still stun a group of troopers despite having a negative in that statistic.
  10. OR making them walk whilst using force-speed. It just looked so funny seeing them stumble about!
  11. We know how each party member will have sidequests so will Mira's be one where she meets the partner of someone she killed whilst a bounty hunter? This is a possibility. Or maybe she will be approached to take out some new contracts or something like that.
  12. Playing through a new game of KOTOR I've noticed there are a number of amusing events caused by half-bugs in the code. Whilst fighting that Terentatek in the caves on Korriban, there was a glitch where it was crossing the bridge and would not attack, and instead kept walking in slow motion- it looked like it was moon-walking Michael Jackson style! I could still attack it but it kept doing the same thing, wierd... Then one time Mission was talking about her boring life and for some reason everytime she had a line of dialouge my character would blank her! Whenever she spoke he quickly turned his back on her- I laughed out loud at that. It seemed so realistic the way he ignored her like that. And now the best one. On Tatooene I was in front of the gate to the desert, about to equip my characters in sand people robes, but Bastilla was in her Underwear and normaly everyone ignores this right? Wrong. This Jawa who was walking about stopped, walked right over to her and I swear he gave a thumbs up!! Then he lifted up his arms in almost a celebratory "Yeah!!!!!" way! Hilarious! Even better was the fact that Bastilla turned to look in his direction with a disaproving expression and lifted her eyebrows as if to say "Dirty Jawa". This all may have been conincidence with the different animations cycling through- but combining them it was so realistic and funny. Can we expect TSL to have any problems like this, or will they be sorted out? And has anyone else seen any other amusing bugs in KOTOR that need to be removed in TSL?
  13. I think Kreia will be the master to start with, then maybe later you will be able to take Atris as your apprentice and train her for good or evil purposes.
  14. About the new classes, exactly how would you get them? People speculate it may be gained through quests, the devs have stated it's not to do with level... Do you need to meet some prerequisets before you can take a prestige class? THink of Jedi weapons master- we know they have superior pain resistance and deflecting skills so it makes sense that your pc would need to max out normal toughness and deflecting feats before they can become the 'elite' jedi class.... But what about Jedi master? There weren't any force using feats in KOTOR, will TSL have some, or will you need to have wisdom 22 before becoming a master. Any ideas on this?
  15. Either that or some kid wearing glasses with glowing yellow LED lights taped to it!
  16. What does a Jawa look like under it's robes???????/
  17. Playing through KOTOR you had options of how to deal with certain situations. There was usually the obviously lightside way to do things- give that woman money for her wraid plate. and the dark side way to do things- provoke those two families into killing each other. What I liked about KOTOR, and what made it stand out from other games was that there were some situations where it really wasn't clear what you were suppost to do. For example take the sidequest 'a wookie lost'- what was the 'right' thing to do then? Allow the innocent old wook to die to preserve the good image of a hero or save his life but destroy the inspirational figure for the wookie village? There wasn't an obvious 'good' way to solve it. Then you have the woman with the missing droid on dantooene. The droid is being, erm 'misused' and asks you to kill him. What to do? Is it right to destroy a droid? Do you send him back to a life of missery? This kind of grey moral choices was a great feature and would add more to TSL light/dark features. Or do people prefer having clear-cut light and dark methods?
  18. side quests for the exchange? Do you mean the spice retrieval and box smuggling, or were there more that I missed out on?
  19. And if you think that there was only a 20 year gap between episodes 3 and 4 (weren't Luke and Leia around 20), how would obi-wan change from Ewan to Alec in that short time? Not that Alec should be cut out of the film, that would be a disgrace, but since we're pointing out problems....... And if lucas want's to make changes in the dvd he can take out that rubbish looking Jabba in episode 4. He looked awful- even worse addition than the Greedo shooting thing.......
  20. i think the most boring bit when replaying was Taris, described on another thread as a 'time burgalar'. It is dull rushing through it when you don't have jedi powers, but otherwise I can play it over and over again. B) TSL should eliminate this problem as you are a Jedi at the very start.
  21. Okay I'm back. Not much has happened so I have a new, improved, less evil idea. What if all children in the republic were scanned for medi-clorians (not sure how to spell it, but what qui-gon scans Anakin for in ep1) at birth and all children who had over a certain ammount were sent to the camps to be watched. This would be a better solution, as someone said there are only 1 in a 100000 who could be Jedi so only a relative few children would be locked up. Another point- does the republic need Jedi? Think of episodes 4 5 and 6- the rebel alliance was getting on fine without Jedi support, and at the battle of Endor it wasn't Luke who won the battle. A rebel team destroyed the shield generator (with some Ewok help!). It was a rebel fleet that destroyed the super star destroyer. It was rebel ships that destroyed the Death Stars power core. All Luke did was to destract the Emperor. And yes, perhaps only 1 in a 1000 Jedi will go bad, the other will be noble BUT when one does go bad you get a galaxy-wide war in which BILLIONS UPON BILLIONS UPON BILLIONS die!! Taris alone had billions of innocents on it, and who knows how many planets Malak had destroyed before that!
  22. WE know there is an optinal side-quest to retrieve your original lightsaber, maybe you have to go to Dantoeene to get it. Perhaps a ghost must tell you where it is, or will test you to see if you are worthy of having it back and won't fall to the darkside.
  23. You can start a campaign to keep the jedi if you want. It's almost 11pm where I am, so I'm off. Can someone else keep thinking up crazy reasons to ban jedi? Lets get two campaigns going. "DEATH TO THE JEDI!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Okay I'm gone.
  24. It may be evil to put children in a camp, but the point of the thread is: is it justified to prevent people from learning about the force and becoming jedi if it stops rouge jedi turing into sith and starting huge wars? What it comes down to is- what is the lesser evil?
  25. If after the Exar Kun war, Jediism had been baned then assuming the republic was still around in 4000 years Anakin would be in a camp, being watched be a 10 eyed alien and we'd have known about his force powers..... But wait! Tatooenee is outside the republic isn't it.......... I need back up. Someone give another reason for Jedi to be removed..
