I personally don't want borders harder to cross. I want to make them easier to cross legally but harsher penalties for those who do cross illegally.

No one is forcing the illegal immigrants to go to war. They would have a choice in the matter. If they don't want to join up then they can either stay hiding and worrying about being dported, or be deported when caught. It is a way for these peole to get legitimate immigrant status instead of breaking our laws. Its just amazes me that some of the people here have absolutely no respect for our laws. Also Kaft, we are talking about illegal immigrants, not legal immigrants. I am all for changes to the immigration laws that makes it equally easy for the poor mexican farmer or the swedish doctor to come into our country legally. However, if either one came to the country illegally, this would be an option for them to stay legally.

Its Good Idea/Bad Idea time. Everyone who has had an immigration discussion with me knows I am against giving amnesty to illegal immigrants, but am in favor of immigration reform to make it easier for people to get guest worker visas and make the path to citizenship easier and less costly. That, however, would not solve the illegal immigration problem. My idea is this, give those who are here illegally a path of citizenship through military service. Those who fit physical and mental requirements for combat and support roles, men and women, can apply to the military to get training, serve the country, and gain opportunities for full fledge citizenship. Serve maybe 4 to 6 years of active service, complete and pass the citizenship test requirements during that time and if they get a general or honorable discharge they become U.S. citizens. If they become wounded to the point they cannot actively serve they have their base enlistment period to complete the citizenship requirements on the government's bill. With this method we will be able to give a clear path of citizenship to illegals while the same time strengthen our military. Is this a good idea or a bad idea?

Well, I thought I did all the quests. I got the completionist achievement and no other quests popped up except for the main story line quests. I had zero outstanding assignments and i went to every single star system that was available for me to visit.

Just because one can make dumb decisions does not mean one is stupid. Besides, I don't think that is the case here. I was just stating how one could interpret these set of events and how it possibly can aid Bush's agenda.

If you are truly a cynic you can see Bush setting Bhutto up that she will get killed by terrorists, thus justifying a stronger US military pressence in Pakistan, placing Musharraf as a puppet ruler using martial law to take a firm hold on the country. This gives us another border in which we can surround Iran with. Iraq on one side, Afghanistan and Pakistan on the other. Prepping up for an invasion.

I only went back the Citadel twice after I left it. I didn't even bother trying to organize the inventory setup. I hope they fix this in ME2. I prefer NWN2's inventory system over the ME/KotOR method.

Man, you are slow. I did every single mission, except the Dr. Heart Mission, and beaten the game less than 27 hours with a 49th level character.

I only regard foreign wars as a bad idea when we start them. Afghanistan government, and their proxy Al Qaeda, attacked us therefore we had the right to annihilate them. We should have brought our full military power against the Taliban and Al Qaeda and focused on them till everyone in those organizations was nothing but a smoldering corpse. Iraq was no threat to the US therfore any military action against them was unjustified.

Maybe they should stop using that dang flamethrower on you then apply some ointment. It may help.

All I have to say is just think how things could have turned out differently if Bush "stayed the course" in Afghanistan and hunted Al Qaeda and the Taliban to the last man instead of going into a worthless and useless war with the quagmire that is Iraq.

What makes KotOR fantasy is the fact that Star Wars uses magic aka the Force. ME doesn't use magic. Now ME isn't hard sci fi, but it uses cybernetics and genetic mutation to explain Biotics.

I am bored with fantasy as well, but I wouldn't call it dead quite yet. Dragon Age is still coming, and there is Blue Dragon and Eternal Sonata. However I would love to see more games like ME come out and it looks like more sci fi is coming with ME 2, ME3, FO3, and Obsidian's Alien game.

If the Islamic extremists take control I have no doubt that they will use the nuclear weapons they would have access to. These people use suicide bombers to get their point across. They are ready to die, wanting to die so they can be martyrs and get a sure seat in their version of heaven. When death holds no fear there is no amount of horror that a person can unleash if given the chance.

What gets me is how Bush is always clamouring for action against Iran and its bid to become a nuclear power yet does NOTHING about Pakistan which has confirmed nuclear weapons and a very unstable political and social environment. Bhutto was indeed brave but this is just the tip of the iceberg and when the brown excrement fully hits the whirling blades I am betting that nukes will fly.

There are still those among our species that still play as the beast they are, Walsh. Also there are times when our animal side cannot be sated, for whatever reason, and spontaneously goes berserk or does something that "civilized" people find unacceptable.
