  1. Alanschu, very well written and you make very valid points on both logic and homosexuality. I will have to check out that book at some point for I do love reading good books about the natural world, specifically on animal behavior and how it relates to the human condition. The Last book I read on that subject was Jane Goodall's In the Shadow of Man. Good read if are into that sort of thing.
  2. If it is, then it is, and if not then it's not. Does it really matter if Big Bottom is Feargus? Just another poster to me.
  3. yeah, they can wear up to heavy armor, and make use of all light weapons, and specific martial weapons based on their god's favored weapon or by their domain choices, add to the fact they don't suffer from spell failure in casting in armor, but that doesn't make them Uber. It doesn't. Not at all.
  4. Good or bad are abstract concepts relative to the individual, Colrom.
  5. So they have kick ass spells, the second best BAB, two good saves, the ability to turn and rebuke undead, and a decent hit die. That doesn't make them over powered. Really. Why are yo guys looking at me like that.
  6. They are quite powerful in their own right, but more spells and domain choices would be great while at the same time not make them any more powerful.
  7. Technically Fallout and Wasteland are POST-Apocalyptic. Instead of doing that vein of CRPG a true Apocalyptic game would be cool. You can be a character experiencing the apocalypse as it happens and the point is that you and a few stragglers are trying to find ways of surviving it. It oculd be the basis of a good trilogy. The first game leads to the apocalypse, the second is the apocalypse, with the third is the post apocalypse which your character now finds him or herself in.
  8. That is why you buy two of everything. One you use, the other you sell 30 years later on EBay.
  9. They need to get the Spell Compedium, translate it to NWN 2, then patch it in.
  10. There are also two other reasons why I am not interested in this MMO. Its a MMO and it is in Chinese. I don't know Chinese. Make into a good single player game with a damn good translation, then I'll bite the hook... so to speak.
  11. I think we have reached a concensus. Great thread and discussion I have to say.
  12. What is wrong in using the Star Wars legos? You can use them to represent the hoardes of Star Wars fanatics that flooded the forums when KotOR 2 was released. As the oncoming hoardes swath forward the Obsidian old timers took their swords and charged down the battlements screaming death to Lucas, tearing apart the barbarians till attrition took them out one by one. Um... On second thought, no.

    Torchwood

That is somewhat of a good analogy. It is definitely not for children. The way I see it Doctor Who is equally for children and adults who enjoy the genre, while Torchwood is clearly for the adults. There is a second spinoff series in the works dealing with Sarah Jane Smith, K9, and Sarah's neice in the works that is geared for the children fans of Doctor Who which would be interesting how they pull that off. They kept in the spirit of Doctor Who and it has a few unsettling scenes that reminds me of the X Files. There are somewhat heavy sexual themes in the first two episodes, but not given the type of character Captain Jack Harkness is that is no surprise. Those who have a traditional conservative views would want to stir clear of this show.
  14. Well, its not the typical MMO and that is why I probably like it.
  15. Agreed, so I will not push it any farther than this, but nonetheless it is a curious stance. Perhaps another day then. While I do respect your views in this matter, I do have to disagree on principle that being around a homosexual or a group of homoexuals will make one have homosexual tendacies. Sexuality is one of the most basest of instincts that is in every single creature on this planet. It is the instinct of physical pleasure and propagation. If one isn't geared toward homosexuality, on the genetic level, he or she cannot be influenced by peers in being a homosexual.
  16. I have never actually ran a Ravenloft campaign but I have used its adventures and ideas to augment my Forgotten Realms campaign and my current one as well. It really freaked my players out when they had to deal with a ghostly mist that was a serial killer, going from host to host.

    Torchwood

Okay,I just got done watching the first two episodes of Torchwood. My god, that show is well... Different. I hope this becomes a continuing series for a very long time. I highly suggest it to any of those who like British Scifi and drama.
  18. That is why I would make sure a MP3/Video Player in which can play any and all media files that I have before buying.
  19. Dark Moth, there is one thing that kind of strikes a cord with me. You said that your faith in God is based on logic and reason, but belief and faith, by their very nature, defies logic and reason. Could you please elaborate? If not, I understand but I am very curious by your choice of words. Instinct cannot be denied. It is the driving force behind every aspect of our nature. It can be buried, ignored, pushed back temporarily, but in the end instinct will win. It is the force that has driven human civilization from the moment we stood up right and looked at the stars. The human instinct is one of the most powerful force on this world. We need to embrace it, not fight it.
  20. Colrom, Alanschu does make a very good point about the interview where she didn't cover her face. Perhaps she wasn't as commited to her conviction at that point, or she wanted to put her best face (pun intended) to ensure her getting the job, but now she recanted and believes she needs to remained veiled. The question is her motives. Is it to cause a stir and controvesy for her 15 minutes of fame or is it actually for her faith and/or culture? On reading the various opinions and testimonies here convinced me it is the former than the latter.
  21. I would say if Obsidian does make an MMO they should go the Bioware route and make a separate studio dedicated to managing it. Also they should follow the Guild Wars model. Best MMO I have ever played. I am actually liking it.
  22. Considering the material that I read I don't think I want to jump and hide in any of them.
  23. Yes, they are a private organization and as a private organization they can do what they want. I am not arguing that. However if they want public funding then they need to adhere to proper equality for all. Otherwise they should not recieve any whatsoever. So that makes it okay to blame and discriminate all homosexuals? I don't think so. Agreed, but they shouldn't start whining about not getting public funding or using public facilities for free.
