  1. We currently have over 100,000 troops in Iraq and Afganistan. They have been useless in stopping the violence that has led to a civil war. Bush has failed. The problem is that he cannot accept his failure and his failure has cost the lives of 3000+ soldiers each of who have died a useless and meaningless death. Now he wants to throw more soldiers at the problem. I don't see a change in strategy. I don't see Bush learning from his mistakes. All I see is more of our soldiers going into a country to die and not a single good thing coming out of it. Bush and the Republicans have proven themselves incompetent in this matter. The only viable option is to remove our troops and let Iraq be swallowed by sectarian violence. It is the waste of US resources and US lives to continue being in a country that wants to kill itself.
  2. The big question here is will J.E. change the death rules for his module. Permadeath anyone?
  3. I find all sports, except arena football, boring.
  4. HA! I will laugh last!
  5. Its a good book. Not the best mind you. I enjoyed Kafka's Metamorphosis more.
  6. Very nice. I do look forward to this.
  7. If they are working on Project Hawaii now, I would be worried.
  8. Metadigital, here you go: http://www.electronicarts.com.au/en-au/gam...et/cricket2005/
  9. And only idiots are actually buying it. Yeah, that is a tad judgmental but it feels so right.
  10. If you are spending $600 for a 120 gig hard drive, then no. No you can't.
  11. Right on, Pop!
  12. I think people would rather buy a PS3.
  13. The only say a man has in this matter is what the woman gives him.
  14. There will be some games released that I might like and also there is the ability to play HD DVDs. I doubt an internal HD DVD 120 gig hard drive version of the X Box 360 will be anywhere near $300 though.
  15. Oh come on Hades, even you have enough common sense to not brake your TV with the controller... probably. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I have enough common sense not buy a Wii.
  16. I would consider buying the new X Box 360 if the new harddrive is built in and it has the HD DVD drive built in for $300.
  17. I like my TV in the condition that it is in. Not broken.
  18. I am saying that it is the woman's choice, regardless of the dynamics of the relationship, but if the relationship is a loving one then the woman permits the man's input on such matters. It is still ultimately up to the woman, but given the nature of positive relationships it will end up being a mutual decision anyway. However not all relationships are like this and one needs a system in place for all possibilities. Woman's body. Woman's choice.
  19. In my system if the couple is in a loving relationship they would naturally come to a mutual decision. That is how relationships work. However if that is not the case it gives the woman the right to tell the man to shove off and let her deal with the problem herself in one way or another.
  20. Contraceptives are preferable, yes. You won't get any argument from me there but it is still a viable form of birth control if all other forms failed. As much as the various forms of contraceptives help to stave off pregnancy there is only one action that is 100% full proof against unwanted pregnancy and that is abstinence. Also you are assuming, with the the use of "husband," that the couple is married. Not everyone who has sex are married.
  21. If every single relationship between a man, woman, and child was exactly like the one you have had then you would have a point. However that is not the case in every single possible circumstance that can come up in relationships. To think that your case is the norm and should dictate the lives of every single human being on the planet is the ultimate in hubris. Keep it simple. Woman carries child. Woman has final say.
  22. I understand your points quite well and in my view you are wrong. Plain and simple. When making laws on abortion there is no sure bet that the couple is in a loving relationship, or if it is a one night stand, or rape, or whatever the circumstances might be. There needs to be clear cut and no ambiguity whatsoever in determining the rights of those involved. You can't have a law with maybes or what ifs, and the such. Abortion is a form of birth control, and since there is only one gender that gives birth in our species only the woman has the right to determine if she carries the child or not.
  23. I get off mine when you get off yours, Moth. I am not going to change my position. A man has absolutely no right to tell a woman what she can or cannot do with her body or things that are dependent on her body.
