No one ever said Duncan was a nice guy.

Jory did draw his sword first and lunges first.

Torment, for the most part, is a good game but it is kind of like the War and Peace of CRPGs. It is a good read once in a great while but a steady diet of such wordiness can be boring. Great games have a balance between action and wordiness. Torment is not balanced in that regard. Very few games are. In my opinion Dragon Age is close, but not quite there. NWN2 was closer to that balance than Dragon Age, especially with the first expansion.

The moral thing to do is not always the right thing to do, and sometimes the right thing to do is not the moral thing to do. The world is not black and white, but filled with shades of gray.
-
Compared to the newer games Torment is boring and tedious.

New game engine, new setting, and new rules system. I am willing to give Bioware some slack. If you don't like Dragon Age so much, Boo-boy, don't play it. Don't get the DLCs or expansions. Heaven forbid, do ever get the sequel. Just go and keep playing the old games over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.

I don't see why people compare DA to BG2. I think it is a more fair comparison to compare it to BG1. Compare DA2 to BG2.

Good luck to Obsidian on this. Hopefully the Wheel doesn't get a flat.

I have done more damage to a single target with my warrior than I ever did with my mage. Of course my mages tend to do a lot of damage to a lot of foes at once, but still.
-
That is why you do not torture an individual with pain. You let them feel euphoric joy, pleasure, and complete contentment, then with one sudden move you take it away. Only to return it if they cooperate.
-
Remakes are lame. Reimaginings can be a bit more fun, but remakes... not so much.
-
Never torture an individual unless you are willing to go through that torture yourself.

I do believe that Dragon Age Nexus does have a custom class, Grenadier, in their list of available mods.
-
Yeah. Those who fling fireballs tend to piss people off the most, but I often use the "KILL THE HEALER" tactic first and foremost. Of course if I focus my Magic I could have Inferno by 5th level.
-
I don't consider it a cheat. You still have the same amount of slots on the character. You just get to choose them instead of the auto-leveling process. I also got rid of the baseline crap you get at 1st level you supposedly get for "free" and allow myself to spend those points as I wish.
-
Or I am playing the PC version with a mod that doesn't auto-level a joinable NPC so I can tailor make the character as I see fit and not the devs, Gromnir.
-
I tend to do Redcliffe around level 7 or 8. Never had any problems. A few well-placed fireballs and all is good.
-
I can clean myself, thank you so very much.

I see your "Wishful thinking" skill is maxed out. My "Wishful Thinking" goes to 11, but yours never will.

Now, Llyranor, I would never harm Nick in such a fashion. You, yes, but not Nick.
-
Well, we had less justification in invading Iraq so we might as well start yet another war.
-
Ever heard of hostile takeovers, Volourn? EA is still out to "kill" Take 2.

BREAKING NEWS: NEW EXCLUSIVE FALLOUT 3 TRAILER

That's just stupid. -
Some teachers are like that, while others aren't. One of my friends is a high school chemistry teacher down in a inner city St. Louis high school. First year there he flunked half of his students either due to sloppy work or they didn't bother to show up for class. Caused a bit of stir in parents and th rest of the faculty, but he stuck to his guns. Those same students had to retake his class and this time he only flunked a quarter of them.

Andrew Jackson led the same government that Abraham Lincoln did. Does that mean we should hold Lincoln responsible for the Trail of Tears? I do hold the US government, as a whole, responsible for the treatment of the native populations, so yes.
