The GTA4 objectively unbias game review from someone who care about gaming
It might sound complicated when being described, but it's much simpler when actually playing the thing. Driving felt clunky and slow to begin with, but it just feels right.

New Fallout 3 screens
I always considered Deus Ex a game that's "greater than the sum of its parts", because its parts simply aren't as good as games that focus on those areas. The stealth and combat can't compare separately to dedicated stealth games or FPS. Jack of all trades, master of none. If games have a "soul", I'd say it's developers that care about the game they are making. Just because you care, though, doesn't mean you won't make crap, and vice versa. I consider Saint's Row to be rather "soulless", as it's an attempt to cash in on the success of GTA. It copied the gameplay fairly well, though, and introduced improvements, which were even copied by the devs for GTAIV.

When she had her vision or whatever, she said something like "You? I'm sorry, forgive me.", so I'm assuming she saw Anders, and was sorry for nearly killing him back on Caprica.

That sounds like something someone trying to justify the murder of a good man would say.

It's what I'm here for. Anyway, I was on a date with Kate, and after rolling the car we were in, and running across the street to jack another, she got hit by a taxi and flew through the air. After a few moments she got up and pulled the passenger out of the car I was stealing. What a woman! Dwayne called, and said he was in the shower and the phone rang and he thought it might have been me. I suspect he didn't get a call at all and was just feeling lonely and fishing for a man date so I took him out for a bite to eat. He's a nice guy. You killed him, didn't you pixies? You're a terrible, terrible person.

I had armor to begin with, and at some point while out on the streets I picked up another one lying next to a cop car. When I picked up the second one I only had half of my life so obviously I would have died without starting with armor.

Indeed it was. I'm terribly sorry I robbed you of my awesome Aussie accent by not having a head set. Anyway, I recently did the bank job and completed it first try. With the amount of cops around I was surprised how well I did. That mission also reminded me of Kane & Lynch.

Yes, the friendship level needs to be about 60 - 70% to unlock their perk.

GTA IV gets a perfect 10 at IGN
There is a labeled parking space in front of each safe house you end up with. Each spot allows for 2 vehicles, and you can use them even if you don't have access to that safe house yet.

At first I thought I imagined it, but the female GPS voice occasionally says "bing-bong" when at a corner, rather than hearing the sound effect. Anyway, one of those people icon missions had me I only used Jacob twice for that, but the fact he appeared only in a specific location, and had a limited selection, I found taking a taxi to the gun shop much easier. You've got more than enough money anyway, you don't need the discount. I miss buying real estate.

The way the garage worked in Saint's Row, was that when you parked a car in any of your garages or in any of the autoshops around town, it was added to a list of cars you could access at any time. You choose the car from the list and it magically appears in the garage. Even if the car is destroyed, you could simply pay to have it repaired, and it's yours again. So unlike GTA:SA car mods weren't useless, and you could keep any car forever. As soon as I discovered this feature in SR I really wanted it in GTAIV, along with the GPS. I guess 1 out of 2 will have to do.

I'm glad this game stole the GPS, taxis, and mobile phone from Saint's Row (although to be fair the phone wasn't a major thing in SR), but I really wish they stole the garage system from it as well, because I really miss having a set of pimped out rides I knew would always be available to me, even at a cost, so much better than the disposable vehicles of the GTA series. I understand that Rockstar are going for a more immersive experience this time around, rather than SR which quite happily embraces its over the top nature, and the garage is pretty gamey and doesn't fit with the realism they are going for. I do like that the extra stuff like vigilante/delivery/cab missions are now more connected to the story rather than being completely separated from it like before.

Bioware - Are Their Games Actually That Good?
That doesn't make any sense. "You like X and I don't, we must be from different cultures." Having a different opinion doesn't make you part of a separate culture. Having this view requires you to choose to ignore those that contradict it, like the ones from Krookie and me. Claiming a load of nonsense is just an opinion doesn't stop it from being a load of nonsense. For me, video games are toys for child-men who lack the ability to grow up, nothing more. Then you're getting infuriated by something that exists only in your imagination. The reason being that all 360 games have achievements, thus no one would ever ask this question.

Bioware - Are Their Games Actually That Good?
ME was the first game since BG2 that I played through the whole thing a second time straight after the first run through. There are plenty of games I replay, but not straight away like that. As for achievements, it's obvious people do like them, so to dismiss them as nothing is actually pretty stupid. For me it's because they might make me try something or play in a way I hadn't thought of, or simply take notice of something I might otherwise have ignored. Anything that allows me to get more out of the game is a good thing.

Lightly pressing left trigger also allows you to aim without locking on. That way you can lock on to someone then slightly depress LT and go for the head shot.

The Battlestar Galactica Thread
The painting is from the most recent episode. I noticed at least two shots of her "stars" with a trail behind them like they are moving, and they look far too much like the old Ships of Light to be a coincidence. Starbuck claims to have seen Earth and will lead the fleet there, but according to the hybrid in Razor that isn't to be. Count Iblis of the original series made the same claim, and he was pretty much the Satan of old BSG. So you're saying Iblis is the fifth and he took/cloned Kara's body and downloaded into it in order to lead mankind to extinction? Iblis or any other aliens won't play a part in the new series, that's for sure, but it's interesting to see the connections between new and old series. I don't know what the deal with Kara is, but I think she truly believes in her purpose, I just think the hybrid from Razor was right.

Damn, I had two cars and three bikes in my parking spot, with the cars only halfway on the post and the bikes inbetween, and when I loaded the game today only two bikes were there.

Obviously Krookie has been playing some Pokemon ripoff hentai bike racing game. It's the only thing that makes sense.
