  1. I'd say it's the only reason it made news? That much is obvious, I thought the implication was that her behaviour was down to her being (formerly married to) a celebrity.
  2. Stacking works the same as previous games. Health items don't stack, ammo and grenades have a limit. I like the inventory system. 9 slots, 4 quickslots. It's fab.
  3. Fanny.
  4. I don't see what being a celebrity, or rather, the ex-wife of a celebrity has anything to do with it.
  5. It was because of computer games. Probably Doom.
  6. SE or Tales? SE. I'm not terribly interested in Tales.
  7. Just bought Monkey Island for 360.
  8. I like the face coming in from the right. Adds a sense of mystery. Like, what is he doing there, and why is he so happy? I must purchase the game and find out.
  9. I was raised Catholic, and I remember praying to God every night as a kid, and it was definitely comforting to think there was some higher power watching over and protecting me, but as I got older it stopped making any sense. Of all the different gods people have believed in, why are all the others false but this one is real? Without a satisfactory answer I can't continue to believe in something that doesn't make any sense to me. I don't believe in any of the different gods mankind has worshiped, nor do I see any point in the agnostic approach, so I guess that makes me an atheist. It has nothing to do with science, and it isn't a choice.
  10. What do you mean by "subtle bullying"? I mean a student getting verbally taunted by a bully every day might be more subtle than a student getting beaten up once, but it'll probably have a more devastating effect.
  11. It doesn't, though I suppose if you belong to a specific religion that requires worship, then you better get crackin'.
  12. In a situation like that, having both makes little sense. I often see people claim that consoles are the reason we don't get text descriptions, but I really like the type of thing you usually find in survival horror where examining objects gives you the characters thoughts on what it is they're looking at, in the form of text like the Silent Hill and Resident Evil series, or a voice over in Call of Cthulhu.
  13. So console games are either huge sellers or total failures, with nothing inbetween? What proof do you have to back up this strange claim? This doesn't even make any sense. Time has nothing to do with it, if you have 100 console players buy the game and only 10 PC gamers, then you have more console gamers to spread word of mouth. Are you actually claiming that console gamers are less likely to talk about games with others than PC gamers? Console gamers aren't affected by word of mouth? Console gamers only buy games that have just been put on the shelf?
  14. If you only look at the biggest sellers to determine a systems audience, then the opposite of what you claim is true. The PC is dominated by WoW and The Sims players. I'm struggling to figure out what the point of "On the PC it'll have way longer legs, especially if it's good. Consoles games have always been a big bang and fizzle" is. So the PC version will sell less copies, and it will take more time for those copies to sell? That certainly doesn't make this game more suited for PC.
  15. What is the consoles target audience, and why is this game not suited to them, but more suited to PC gamers? Try to answer this based on the actual audience of these platforms, and not what you think the audience is. So you're saying that console versions of games sell better at launch, but PC versions eventually outsell the console versions, they just take a long time to do so? Do you have anything to back up this strange claim?
  16. I think it'll sell, I was responding specifically to Purkake's claim of "Once it fails to sell...". What does having "longer legs" mean? What does "a big bang and fizzle" mean? ? As an Australian, getting my 360 fixed involved a phone call and mailing a package, and then less than a week later I had my system back, all fixed. And this was out of warranty, an option I don't have for PC parts.
  17. I agree that it's probably a timed exclusive and will eventually make it's way to PC, but if it doesn't sell on consoles is it really likely they'd port it to PC? Did Psychonauts sell better on PC? I mean if it sells poorly on one platform it doesn't make much sense to port it to another if you think it will do even worse. You buy the systems that have the games you want. People offering up a list of the "best" games on a particular console doesn't help if you aren't interested in those types of games.
  18. Actually, Crysis had a lot more "choose your own approach" than Far Cry.
  19. Probably, yeah, but that's okay, because apparently it's okay to enjoy bad games.
  20. Wow, I didn't know this was so far off. The portraits are great, but they kind of put the rest of the graphics to shame.
  21. Ha, my first thought was that even Aram wouldn't be that anal. I mean the guy complains about plasma guns. I agree with everything else you posted. That's certainly the impression I get from that thread. It's a list of most weapons that feature in games and some bitching about them. When you're complaining about alien weaponry you're not correcting mistakes you're making **** up.
